52 Years Ago, a Pandemic Flu Killed 100,000 in the US and Nothing Shut Down—Not Even Woodstock Post Date: 2020-05-04 17:01:56 by Deckard

Mainstream media across the planet continue to refer to the COVID-19 outbreak as the worst pandemic since the Spanish flu of 1918. We are told that the economy shut down during the Spanish flu and people were ordered into quarantine, but it couldnt stop the death toll from reaching 650,000 Americans. Now, the government has made harsh and sweeping regulations, shut down entire sections of the US economy, largely based on a model from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), which says roughly 72,000 Americans will die from COVID-19. No one here is claiming that this virus is not serious and should not be taken serious. However, it is our duty as a free people to ...

Churches splitting over homosexuality and related issues In the past 15 years, at least four big US churches have split after long and intense debates over homosexuality and the role of LGBTQ members. Religious historians say we haven't seen so many church schisms since 19th- century debates over slavery, when denominations split into Northern and Southern branches. And the current breaks over homosexuality could be just the early tremors of an earthquake that will scatter the country's entire Christian landscape, some scholars argue. "The mainline Protestants are like the shock troops," said James Hudnut-Beumler, a professor of religious history at Vanderbilt ...

More churches are breaking in two over LGBTQ issues In recent decades four of the seven traditional mainline Protestant denominations have split up over homosexuality or related issues, such as the interpretation of Scripture and frustrations over rehashing the same debate for decades. They read like an alphabet soup of American religion: The American Baptist Churches USA, the Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Presbyterian Church USA.
The Methodist Church will probably split in two over homosexuality, and that's bad for all of us Post Date: 2020-05-04 07:42:59 by Gatlin

The Methodist Church will probably split in two over homosexuality, and that's bad for all of us The Methodist Church added "united" to its name after merging with another denomination in 1968. But for much of the past 52 years, unity has proved elusive. That's been especially true at meetings of the church's top legislative body, the General Conference, where factions have fought for decades about sexuality and Scripture. After the church strengthened its bans on partnered LGBTQ clergy and same-sex marriage last year, many Methodists argued that a split was likely inevitable. "The situation here has become so toxic that the church was basically ...

In St. Louis County, Missouri, this totalitarian woman reported the names of open businesses to the government. Then she hypocritically complained after her own name got published on the internet. Post Date: 2020-05-04 07:25:15 by A K A Stone

The woman in this video says she has a medical condition that makes her vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. I dont blame her for having this medical condition. Its not her fault that she has this medical condition. What I do blame her for is reporting open businesses to the government. Apparently, she thinks that because she herself is sick, other people, who are healthy, should also be prevented from going to these businesses. So, a really good, decent person published the name of this totalitarian on the internet. And now the totalitarian who ratted out the open businesses is complaining that she herself has been ratted out. What a hypocrite! ...
More than 900 Missouri residents who 'snitched' on lockdown rule-breakers fear retaliation after their details are leaked online Post Date: 2020-05-04 07:17:15 by A K A Stone

Hundreds of people have been exposed for reporting people who have flouted social distancing rules and some are now scared they could receive a backlash. The names and addresses of approximately 900 people in Missouri were released as part of a media request under the Sunshine Law, which allows for the release of information submitted to a public agency (except for wrongdoing and abuse tips). St. Louis County had urged the community to share details of anyone not following guidelines in response to the coronavirus pandemic and noted in the terms and conditions that information may be shared publicly. However some people may not have read the small print submitted tips via an online form ...

As a result of the coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent economic ramifications, the food agency found an additional 130 million people could be on the brink of starvation by the end of the year. The working poor would be hit the hardest as a result of the decline in tourism and exports, collapse of oil prices and any declines to foreign aid. The resulting death toll could outpace that of the coronavirus with 300,000 people dying due to starvation every day over a three-month period, the agency reported.

A judge in San Francisco has ruled that the pro-life defendants in the Planned Parenthood Federation of America v. Center for Medical Progress case popularly known as the baby body parts case must pay Planned Parenthood over $1.5 million, not including attorney fees which will likely add millions more to what they owe the abortion-committing behemoth. In November, after the six-week courtroom drama presided over by United States District Judge William H. Orrick concluded, a jury took less than two days to find the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) and its undercover investigators guilty of multiple crimes, including violating the federal Racketeer Influenced and ...
