Congress concluded last week the annual shenanigans with funding the government. And while the body’s refusal to get the omnibus done before the 59th minute of the 11th hour is grounds for harsh criticism, its shirking and dodging is only a tiny part of the problem, which is how utterly irresponsible DC is with its checkbook. Three Russian soldiers were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Engels airfield in Russia’s Saratov Oblast early Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The Engels airfield is about 300 miles from the Ukrainian border and was targeted by a similar attack earlier this month. I have started watching a video series entitled “Welcome to Negative World.” That would be our world. The speakers are Aaron Renn, Joe Rigney, and James Wood. An increased number of churches are canceling Christmas day services in anticipation of low attendance, given the holiday falls on a Sunday this year. With the pandemic impacting the way people worship, Only 84 percent of pastors plan on holding services this year, down from 89 percent in 2016, which was the last time Christmas Day fell on a Sunday, according to surveys conducted by Lifeway Research. The University of Idaho has agreed to pay $90,000 to settle a free-speech lawsuit brought by three members of the school's Christian Legal Society and the group's faculty adviser. The school issued a no-contact order against the four after a female student complained the students harassed her. The female student had asked the CLS students why they opposed gay marriage.
