I don't listen to the radio very much. But if I'm driving alone, I will sometimes turn it on. I'll usually listen to a classic rock station, or maybe talk radio - but this time I landed on the classical station and was listening. The soft baritone voice of the announcer came on to wish me a happy first day of Kwanzaa, and told me that the theme of the day was Unity. They promised music by a black female composer later on. CA APPEALS COURT DENIES STAY OF INJUNCTION IN GUN PRIVACY CASE

A California appeals court panel has unanimously denied a request from state Attorney General Rob Bonta for an immediate stay of an injunction in a case brought by the Second Amendment Foundation in a challenge of the state law allowing the state Department of Justice to share personal information about firearms owners with private researchers. Bonta claimed the law, AB 173, “does not create a serious invasion of privacy.” The trial court disagreed, granting a preliminary injunction to the plaintiffs, thus placing a hold on enforcement of the information sharing law.
