I’ve been reading Raymond Chandler’s The High Window for the second time. The plot is convoluted. Somehow it got me thinking about Ukraine and Israel. Both countries are complicated crime scenes of U.S. foreign policy. They will never be objectively investigated and exposed. Like The High Window, plots and subplots embedded with events in Ukraine and Israel are confusing and loaded with smoke screens. It is difficult to navigate. Russia on Saturday launched missile strikes across Ukraine that targeted energy infrastructure after a two-week lull in such attacks. The strikes hit energy facilities in the capital Kyiv and in the regions of Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Kharkiv.
