Walz signed into law the Protect Reproductive Options (PRO) Act to enshrine in state statute a fundamental right to abortion without limits or safeguards. The bill had passed the House and Senate by narrow margins after Democrat leaders quickly pushed it through the legislature in the opening weeks of the session. Click for Full Text!

This is an update I was hoping I would not have to writethe efforts by the abortion industry to plant a foothold in Amish country. Some time ago, the abortion giant known as Planned Parenthood announced plans to perform abortions in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, an area best-known for its Amish farming community. Click for Full Text!
Jury Finds Mark Houck Not Guilty on Bogus Biden Admin Charges Post Date: 2023-02-05 00:10:59 by Charles_Byrd

A Philadelphia jury has found pro-life father Mark Houck not guilty on both counts in the case of the bogus charges the Biden administration filed against him. Houck is facing bogus charges that he violated the federal FACE law when he was helping women outside an abortion center. An abortion business escort accosted and bullied his son and Houck stepped in to stop it and, in doing so, the older abortion center volunteer fell down. Houck could have faced over a decade in prison if he was found guilty. Click for Full Text!
China Enforces New Cybersecurity Rules in Tibet Post Date: 2023-02-05 00:07:07 by Charles_Byrd

A new Chinese cyber law in Tibet materialized on Wednesday (Feb. 1), with the government declaring harsher punishments for anyone found to be stirring public disorder by engaging in separatist acts. The law, initially passed in 2016, was formulated to boost digital state surveillance and censorship in the region. These new measures enable the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to single out Tibetans for online activity regarded by authorities as critical of Chinese rule in the region. Click for Full Text!

Among those holding the administrations feet to the fire is Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. Specifically, Comer is looking into John Kerry, Bidens Special Presidential Envoy for Climate (SPEC), over Kerrys secretive talks with Chinese government officials. Click for Full Text!
Fake Meat Industry Plummeting. Are Globalists Worried? Post Date: 2023-02-05 00:04:41 by Charles_Byrd

The Left and the global elites have long demonized eating meat, and accordingly have pushed fake, plant-based meats. But is the entire vegan house of cards on the verge of toppling over? In a major blow to the industry, Impossible Foods, one of the most well- known manufacturers of meat alternatives, recently announced that it will be cutting 20 percent of its workforce. As Bloomberg reports, the Redwood, California-based company employs around 700 people, meaning the latest round of cuts would eliminate at least 140 jobs. Click for Full Text!
Nimrods of Berlin Post Date: 2023-02-03 15:51:39 by Charles_Byrd

Ive just read on Bloomberg that Berlin is sending a hundred-plus advanced, German-built Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine. On closer reading, it appears that most of the Leopard-2s will be transported from other NATO countries, not directly from Germany. That is one hundred too many tanks, in my view. They will add fuel to the fire, to an unnecessary and avoidable conflict endangering the whole world, a war engineered by our Neocon/Neoliberal crusaders in Washington who have already done enough damage to humanity. The WEFs annual meeting in Davos held a very important and exciting seminar discussing Brain Transparency. It featured new but working technology that allows scanning of the human brain via wearable devices (no electrodes needed). Such scans allow AI-enabled computers to read and interpret the wearers state of mind by instantly understanding recorded brain waves. The devices they are discussing already exist. Ukraine Is Sinking. Are Western Elites Bailing Out? Post Date: 2023-02-03 15:45:11 by Charles_Byrd

What makes the RAND Corporations latest report on Ukraine so significant, is not the quality of the analysis, but the fact that the nations most prestigious national security think-tank has taken an opposite position on the war than the Washington political class and their globalist allies. This is a very big deal. Keep in mind, wars dont end because the public opposes them. That is a myth. Wars end when a critical split emerges between elites that eventually leads to a change in policy. The RAND Corporations new report, Avoiding a long war: US policy and the trajectory of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, represents just such a split. It indicates that ...

What If the Strategy Is to Leave Russia Holding a Gas Bag? Post Date: 2023-02-03 15:41:49 by Charles_Byrd

America is on the ropes. As a citizen of the United States, someone whose family helped shape a great nation, it is a tragedy beyond comprehension. But it is real, I assure you. For decades now, those who watched closely took in the incremental devolution of the republic. Then, with the resignation speech of President Eisenhower, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, and the political coup against Richard Nixon, an oligarchy of deceit formed a dark empire. Today, we are on the threshold of Armageddon because of them. I was just reading comments from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during his discussions with the President of the Republic of Angola Joao Lourenco. The ...
Review: The Crown Pits British Tradition Against Reform Post Date: 2023-02-03 15:38:40 by Charles_Byrd

Netflix's lightly fictionalized historical drama The Crown examines the British monarchy through its longest-serving chief, Queen Elizabeth II. The series delves into the role of institutions and whether it's best to modernize or to maintain tradition. Elizabeth and Prince Charles attempt modest modernizing reforms, but more often they acquiesce to custom. In The Crown's fifth season, the royals face the growing sentiment that their role is antiquated. While Elizabeth and Charles wonder whether the monarchy should change, Britons debate whether it should exist. Elizabeth denied her sister the right to marry a divorceeand until this season denied her son the right to ...

Economic collapse can lead to a breakdown of society and mass food shortages. Severe drought or weather, natural disasters, or a man-made catastrophe like an EMP can also bring on food shortages, and famine, followed by starvation. Millions go hungry. Countless people to die. Most Americans have only experienced the consequences of massive famine on their television screens. In 1981, in the movie The Road Warrior (played by Mel Gibson), this survivor in the apocalyptic wasteland of Australia experienced the results of widespread famine first hand. His way to survive: Dog food. Canned dog food. I cant remember the brand name. Alpo maybe. But does it even matter? The point is this: In a ...

Foundations and donor-advised funds (DAFs) are witnessing a natural self- correction from the last few years of elevated stock market gains and unprecedented donations. This comes after DAFs posted significant growth across grants, contributions and charitable assets in 2021, according to a report released last November by the National Philanthropic Trust, which examined nearly 1,000 charities that sponsor or manage DAFs and report at least $1 billion in assets. In the war between the western alliance and the Asian axis, the media focus is on the Ukrainian battlefield. The real war is in currencies, with Russia capable of destroying the dollar. So far, Putins actions have been relatively passive. But already, both Russia and China have accumulated enough gold to implement gold standards. It is now overwhelmingly in their interests to do so. New Data Show Prison Staff Are Rarely Held Accountable for Sexual Misconduct Post Date: 2023-02-03 15:24:47 by Charles_Byrd

Prison and jail staff rarely face legal consequences for sexual assault, according to new data released by the Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS). BJS released detailed data this week on more than 2,500 substantiated incidents of sexual assault in U.S. prisons and jails between 2016 and 2018. The data starkly show how federal, state, and local officials have ignored their constitutional duty to protect incarcerated people from sexual assault, despite federal laws intended to create zero-tolerance policies for prison rape. Citing the lowest rate of social mobility among rich countries, Philip Alston, an NYU law professor and United Nations special rapporteur, argues that inequality in the U.S. has become a human rights issue. Alston, whose U.N. role focuses on the relationship between extreme poverty and civil rights, laments, Poor people have no chance of having their voices heard. No chance of influencing public policy. Alston says that [i]n a rich country like the U.S.A., the persistence of extreme poverty is a political choice made by those in power, and of course hes right, but not in the way he thinks. To progressives in the mainstream of American politics, ...
Ominous Parallels Reconsidered Post Date: 2023-02-03 15:17:58 by Charles_Byrd

Forty years ago, I reviewed Leonard Peikoffs Ominous Parallels very negatively, and with one exception, of which the less said, the better, this proved to be the most controversial review I have ever written. Perhaps it is time for a second look. In what follows, Ill discuss some of the books main points and then offer a few critical remarks. The philosopher Leonard Peikoff was a member of Ayn Rands inner circle, and she considered him her intellectual heir. He has been the guiding light of the official Objectivist organization, the Ayn Rand Institute, since its inception. His aim in Ominous Parallels is to interpret Nazism from the standpoint of ...
Preaching Predestination with Jim Nestingen Post Date: 2023-02-03 15:16:28 by Charles_Byrd

Not long ago, a friend and mentor of mine died and went into his (very much unearned) reward with Jesus Christ. James A. Nestingen was known to many in the Lutheran world and outside of it for his bold testimony to Christ and the salvation he bestows. Jim was many things, above all, a family man. But his public vocation was that of preacher and teacher of the church. His scholarship on the Reformation has shaped our understanding of the sixteenth century, and his personality was larger than life, leaving an impression on all he encountered. There are many contributions of Jim's career that we should remember. But one worth noticing is Jim's understanding of preaching ...

Freedom isn't free, and the price for freedom is almost always blood. The Exodus event is about freedom: freedom from the slavery of Egypt but also freedom from the slavery of sin. I do not think we can overestimate the importance of the Exodus, that is, the "exit" of Israel from Egypt. The Exodus event was THE event of the Old Testament. God never wanted his people to forget that he freed them, so he insisted that they remember this event every year. Passover is the yearly holiday celebrated in remembrance of the Exodus. We might think about the Passover as all of our American holidays wrapped into one that is how important the Exodus was to both ancient Israelite ...

Christian Schools Going "Woke"? Veteran Teacher Blows Whistle Post Date: 2023-02-03 00:37:49 by Charles_Byrd

Many Catholic and Protestant schools and education-program providers are lining up with Common Core, Social-Emotional Learning, and "woke" propaganda, warned veteran educator and elementary director emeritus at FreedomProject Academy, Mary Black, in this episode of Conversations That Matter with The New American magazine's Alex Newman. Black, who has been teaching for around five decades, says these problems are becoming ubiquitous, and that parents must guard their children. In some cases, the private schools have become even worse than the government schools. Even more alarming, even many Christian textbooks for Christian schools are promoting globalism, critical race theory ...
