So the LDC was there to witness the eclipse of the sun and take pictures of it when the eclipse first appeared over the US – in Eagle Pass, TX shortly after high noon (Central Standard Time). Chicago Alderman Byron Sigcho-Lopez, a member of the mayor’s leadership team, headlined an event Saturday at which some participants chanted “Death to America” and plotted ways to disrupt this summer’s Democratic National Convention in the city.
