John Joseph Mearsheimer is an American political scientist and international relations scholar, who belongs to the realist school of thought. He is the R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. He has been described as the most influential realist of his generation. Mearsheimer was born in December 1947 in Brooklyn, New York City. When he was eight, he moved with his family to Croton-on-Hudson, a suburb in Westchester County. German defence minister Boris Pistorius has said that the NATO Nation won't send anymore military aid to Ukraine apart from the promised packages. This as Germany needs to fill up military gaps, which could approximately take up to 2030. Like many Generation X folks, I’ve complained long and hard about TikTok and the brainwashing effects on young people of 15-30-second intervals of entertaining social programming for hours at a time. I have also been concerned about the Chinese ownership of TikTok – is this just a giant psy-op? So when I heard that Congress was finally getting ready to ban the app, I was curious. I do see inherent dangers with TikTok. I do believe it’s being used to both spy and brainwash our young people. But should it actually be banned? A Delaware judge has granted Dominion Voting Systems a partial win in its mammoth defamation lawsuit against Fox News. In a ruling Friday, Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric J. Davis concluded the right-wing media organization made false statements about the election technology company related to the 2020 presidential contest. Fed Vice Chair for Supervision Michael Barr played that self-exoneration game on Tuesday before the Senate as he blamed bankers and Congress for Silicon Valley Bank’s failure.
