Western News Media Downplay Ukraine War Crimes Post Date: 2023-04-04 21:19:11 by Charles_Byrd

In late March, the United Nations issued a new report on war crimes being committed by both Russian and Ukrainian forces. The document provides a shocking litany of brutal behavior on the part of both militaries, although the investigators concluded that Russian units have committed the majority of offenses. Given the extent of Western pressure and the UNs own biases, it is hard to determine the accuracy of that conclusion. However, the evidence cited of Ukrainian abuses is far from trivial. Yet if one examines accounts about the report in Western news media outlets, the inescapable conclusion would be that Russian troops were responsible for virtually all of the atrocities. ...

U.S. manufacturing activity slumped to the lowest level in nearly three years in March as new orders plunged, and activity could decline further amid tightening credit conditions. The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) survey on Monday also showed a continued reduction in factory employment last month, but inflation pressures subsided, with supplier delivery performance the fastest since March 2009. Rising borrowing costs as the Federal Reserve fights high inflation have cooled demand for goods, which are typically bought on credit. Before tackling the story of the military campaigns that have haunted our last thirty years up to today, it is necessary to recall three facts about the origin of these wars. In 1944, seventy-four Nazi leaders were aware of the defeat of Germany but determined to save the Nazi ideal from the catastrophe, they founded the organization O.D.SS.A. Their intent was to emigrate, and to any state where they establish, engage in companies, administrations, and political parties at any level, and filter their Nazi thought. Many of them were absorbed into the US services for their experience of the Soviet Union and placed in the departments of various agencies. Their vision has undoubtedly ...

N.D. House Fails to Override Trans Pronoun Veto Post Date: 2023-04-03 19:49:13 by Charles_Byrd

The North Dakota House of Representatives fell seven votes short Monday of overriding a veto by Gov. Doug Burgum of a bill that would prohibit public schools and state agencies from requiring the use of pronouns that don't correspond to an individual's biological sex. The GOP holds veto-proof majorities in the House and Senate, and the Senate overruled the veto Friday with a 37-9 vote, meaning the House needed two-thirds, or 63 votes, in a chamber with an 82-12 edge in Republicans over Democrats to override the veto of Senate Bill 2231. But 24 Republicans and all 12 Democrats voted against the override, with the final vote 56-36. Click for Full Text!
