On Monday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the deployment of the new Texas Tactical Border Force, a specialized tactical unit of Texas National Guard troops specifically trained to deal with the emergency on the border with Mexico. New York City has announced that the city's public elementary schools will now be forced to use a curriculum that actually teaches children how to read. On Tuesday, David C. Banks, the chancellor of the city's Department of Education, unveiled new rules governing reading instruction in New York City public schools, mandating that schools adopt one of three evidence- based reading programs. Bud Light sales fell by more than 20% last month after the brand partnered with trans actress and influencer Dylan Mulvaney, The Drinks Business reports. The report notes that total beer volumes for parent company Anheuser-Busch fell by 12.5% in April while rival companies Molson Coors and Constellation Brands saw their sales rise by 7.6% and 3.8%, respectively. The newest NATO country is Finland on the western boundary of Russia. Some would like to see Ukraine become the 33rd NATO country.
