Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo (R) on Tuesday signed into law legislation that makes it a felony to harass, threaten or intimidate election workers with the intent of influencing election outcomes or of retaliating against election workers for doing their jobs. The legislation comes after the 2020 presidential election saw an uptick in reported threats of violence against election workers and false claims of election fraud that spurred violence. The commander of the Czech Republic’s armed forces said the North Atlantic alliance and Russia are on the path to a direct war. The general described the potential war as the “worst-case scenario” but emphasized that it remains a distinct possibility. Israel launched major military drills preparing for war with Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran on Monday. Following a new CNN report about an audio recording that suggests former President Donald Trump knowingly took a classified document, legal experts are saying it could be the damning evidence needed to charge him under the Espionage Act. CNN reported Wednesday that several sources told the outlet about a recording obtained by federal prosecutors in which Trump acknowledged he had taken a classified document that detailed a potential attack on Iran.
