The (7) Essential Rules Of Tyranny Post Date: 2011-07-31 02:43:01 by Hondo68

As we look back on the horrors of the dictatorships and autocracies of the past, one particular question consistently arises; how was it possible for the common men of these eras to NOT notice what was happening around them? How could they have stood as statues unaware or uncaring as their cultures were overrun by fascism, communism, collectivism, and elitism? Of course, we have the advantage of hindsight, and are able to research and examine the misdeeds of the past at our leisure. Unfortunately, such hindsight does not necessarily shield us from the long cast shadow of tyranny in our own day. For that, the increasingly uncommon gift of foresight is required
At bottom, the success of ...

They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts. Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it ...

Obama on Recession: ‘Less Money Coming In,’ So We Had to ‘Spend Even More’ Post Date: 2011-07-27 11:07:34 by Happy Quanzaa

(CNSNews.com) When speaking to the nation in a primetime television address on Monday, President Barack Obama said that because less money was coming in during the recession, the federal government had to spend even more. The deficit was on track to top $1 trillion the year I took office, said Obama. To make matters worse, the recession meant that there was less money coming in, and it required us to spend even more -- on tax cuts for middle-class families to spur the economy; on unemployment insurance; on aid to states so we could prevent more teachers and firefighters and police officers from being laid off. These emergency steps also ...

Ordinary citizens face spiralling fines and fees as hard up states try to cash in Post Date: 2011-07-25 08:22:53 by Sebastian

Ordinary citizens are facing spiralling fines and fees as hard up states try to cash in with steep increases in stealth charges. As states and municipalities continue to grapple with the recession's fallout, few turned to big, noticeable tax hikes this year. Instead, they're slashing spending and turning to more modest, narrowly crafted increases in fees and fines. Louisiana and South Dakota raised state park fees, while California increased vehicle registration costs and Wisconsin started charging more to retake the state driving exam. Georgia raised fees on day care licenses, fireworks permits and traveling circuses. Oregon raised fees on medical marijuana, while Rhode Island ...

Debt Crisis Being Used as Shock Doctrine to Steal More Money from the People Post Date: 2011-07-23 19:21:25 by Hondo68

I noted in 2008:The powers-that-be have used the "Shock Doctrine" to pass anti-American, fascist legislation while the public was in a state of shock. This applies to economic shocks, as well as physical attacks like 9/11.Indeed, right now, Paulson and Bernanke are using the shock doctrine to try to ram through legislation that would help out the fat cats at the expense of taxpayers, and give the government control over the free market. But there is some resistance. For example, Senator Leahy and the New York Times are questioning Paulson's use of shock and awe:Senator Leahy said "If we learned anything from 9/11, the biggest mistake is to pass anything they ask for just ...

Bombing of government building and mass shooting arrive as establishment seeks to manufacture "white Al-Qaeda" myth Today's bombing in Oslo and a related mass shooting that occurred just outside the Norwegian capital are already replete with inconsistencies and questions that demand further inquiry into whose agenda this deadly attack serves. Authorities have already said that the man who carried out the shootings at a youth camp in a nearby resort has direct ties to the earlier bombing in Oslo of a government building. - An eyewitness to the blast who was just 200 feet away from the explosion called into the Alex Jones show and stated that there was a "bomb sweep" ...
The Banks Keep Stealing - Why Should You Keep Paying? Post Date: 2011-07-22 14:11:21 by Capitalist Eric

The dire straits of the middle class of America has made it near impossible for our politicians to keep up the pretense that our current government truly works for the "people." Between the multiple overt and secretive bailouts, the massive bonuses and the circular use of our tax money to lobby for these continued handouts, you can no longer hide from the evidence. When Senator Durbin said "The banks... frankly own this place," you realize it was not in jest. Couple this with recent protections handed by the Supreme Court to corporations to directly influence elections and it can make things seem hopeless for those not on Wall Street or their chosen politicians. Favored ...

This article explores President Obamas White House Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, examining the 26 members of the Council, looking at their current and previously-held positions, and assessing whose interests are really being served, and who has the ear of the Obama administration when it comes to economic issues. Much has been written on the chief economic advisers inside the Cabinet who represent banking and corporate interests, such as Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner who was previously the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Instead of re-examining the more widely known conflicts of interest within the administration, this article focuses on the White ...

A new promotional video released by the Department of Homeland Security characterizes white middle class Americans as the most likely terrorists, as Big Sis continues its relentless drive to cement the myth that mad bombers are hiding around every corner, when in reality Americans are just as likely to be killed by lightning strikes or peanut allergies. The video is part of Homeland Security's $10 million dollar "See Something, Say Something" program that encourages Americans to report "suspicious activity," which in every case throughout history has been a trait of oppressive, dictatorial regimes. In the course of the 10 minute clip, a myriad of different behaviors ...

Who Was Behind the Anthrax Attacks? More Evidence Bruce Ivins Was A Scapegoat Post Date: 2011-07-20 13:34:13 by Brian S

The admission by the Justice Department that they know the alleged perpetrator of the anthrax attacks did not have the means to create anthrax in his lab is hardly surprising: after all, this is an investigation that has been so mishandled that one has to question whether the point of it was ever to find the real culprit. Indeed, I would venture to say that the US government is engaged in a massive cover-up. A serious charge, but one not made lightly: indeed, given what we know, its almost impossible to draw any other conclusion. To begin with, it is clear from the evidence that Bruce Ivins, the scientist accused of creating and sending the anthrax and who ...
It's All the Republicans' Fault Post Date: 2011-07-19 18:19:06 by Capitalist Eric

If the debt limit is once again raised, guaranteeing more crazed deficit spending regardless of any promises accompanying the deal, blame should fall squarely on the Republicans. The GOP controls the House of Representatives. They command the federal purse strings. Nothing can force them to raise the debt ceiling. There is no justification for raising it under any circumstances. Default is a perfectly valid option, discouraging lenders from continuing to enable Washington's gluttonous and destructive spending. Or the government can simply cut $1.6 trillion for the next fiscal year and operate according to its revenues. The House Republicans can easily tell Obama: "We refuse to ...

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) subsidized a study attempting to find out if a gay mans penis size has any correlation with his sexual health. The research, titled The Association between Penis Size and Sexual Health among Men Who Have Sex with Men, began in 2006 and surveyed 1,065 gay men. Among its key findings: Those gay men who felt they had small or inadequate penis sizes were more likely to become bottoms, or anal receptive, while gay men with larger penises were more likely to identify themselves as tops, or anal insertive. Another discovery from the research: men with smaller penises were more likely to be psychologically troubled ...

The GOP presidential hopeful signed the "cut, cap and balance" pledge in Columbia after adding that Congress must cut off funding and repeal the health care overhaul passed last year. NEW YORK Unless the typewriter used to type Barack Obama's purported Hawaiian "Certificate of Live Birth" in 1961 was magically capable of producing different size and shaped images with the exact same key, the document released by the White House April 27 is a forgery, says a professional typographer with 50 years experience. "Steel-stamped letters do not expand to larger sizes and morph into different styles of type," retired New York City typographer Paul Irey told WND. "These are irrefutable proofs of forgery," he said. His newest analysis suggests the document was assembled from images of letters or words taken from other documents. ...
The Cowardly Congress and the Tyrannical President Post Date: 2011-07-18 10:36:27 by Hondo68

The abdication of Congress as a co-equal branch of the central government monolith is complete. One way to look at the artificial conflict over the debt ceiling theater is in terms of Gypsy Rose Lee doing the striptease fan dance. The beltway burlesque script is designed never to solve real problems. Give the public a glimmer of desire by way of a glimpse of fantasy. The dream of financial sanity and government responsibility is as remote as integrity from the political class. At the core of the two-step is a fundamental dishonesty about changing much less reforming the way business is conducted in the age of totalitarian collectivism. Now, this is entertainment if the dire consequences ...

Tea party favorite Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) Sunday dismissed calls for Congress to hold hearings to find out if Rupert Murdochs News Corp. had broken U.S. law by hacking phones or bribing police. We need to let law enforcement work here, DeMint told NBCs David Gregory. Congress has got a big issue in front of us. We need to handle our own business for a change. And the focus this week is on the only plan weve got, and thats cut, cap and balance. But Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) disagreed. I can tell you that there are questions about whether the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act has been violated by Rupert Murdoch and his news empire, and ...
