D.C. Attorney General Irvin Nathan has accused a District HIV/AIDS service provider of spending nearly $330,000 in federal tax dollars to open a strip club. In a lawsuit filed Tuesday, Nathan said Miracle Hands Inc. promised the city it was using the cash to renovate a warehouse in Northeast for use as a job training center for residents with HIV/AIDS. Instead, the warehouse was turned into the Stadium Club, a strip club that continues to operate, the suit says. Miracle Hands shares an address with the club, according to the company's website. Nathan asked in the suit that the city be awarded at least $988,959 in damages. D.C. Councilman David Catania requested in a February letter to ...
Why Bankers, Governments and the Media Hate Gold Post Date: 2011-08-30 18:03:19 by Capitalist Eric

Our entire financial, economic and political systems since 1971 have been built on nothing but fantasy paper fantasy. It was after President Nixon closed the gold window and took our nation off the gold standard that we saw US debt explode, media conglomerates merge and expand their control of propaganda, and elite banking institutions take hold of the financial future of the people. The inflationary fiat paper monetary policies of the United States made it possible for private institutions to enrich themselves at the expense of working Americans, and for government to take a once productive individual and make them wards of the state. In Three terrible lies you need to know about ...

Kerry Picket had an interesting report in the Washington Times yesterday. Apparently President Obamas uncle Omar, an illegal alien living in Massachusetts, was arrested for drunk driving after nearly smashing into a police car. Picket also reports that the 67-year-old uncle Omar tried to, or at least wanted to, call the White House to get Baracks help with the charges after he was arrested. Picket writes: I spoke to Framingham Public Information Officer Lieutenant Delaney who told me that when Onyango Obama was asked at booking if he wanted to make a telephone call to arrange for bail, the Kenyan immigrant replied: I think I will call the White ...
CEO of Gibson Guitars' Main Competitor is a Huge Democrat Donor; Also Uses Same Wood Without Any Complaints From Feds Post Date: 2011-08-28 14:12:39 by Capitalist Eric

Earlier this week the federal government executed its second major raid of Gibson Guitars in just two years. Armed agents of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service stopped production at the company's manufacturing facilities on Wednesday, confiscating "massive quantities of wood, unfinished guitars, and finished products". The Federal Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. has suggested that the use of wood from India that is not finished by Indian workers is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because it is the Justice Departments interpretation of a law in India. (If the same wood from the same tree was finished by Indian workers, the material would be legal.) This ...

A power play is underway in the foreclosure arena, according to the New York Times. On the one side is Eric Schneiderman, the New York Attorney General, who is conducting his own investigation into the era of securitizations the practice of chopping up assets like mortgages and converting them into saleable securities that led up to the financial crisis of 2007-2008. On the other side is the Obama administration, the banks, and all the other state attorneys general. This second camp has cooked up a deal that would allow the banks to walk away with just a seriously discounted fine from a generation of fraud that led to millions of people losing their homes. The idea ...

SPRING CREEK A city officer arrested a Spring Creek man Wednesday morning at the Elko Area Regional Airport, where he works for the Transportation Security Administration, on a warrant charging six counts of lewdness with a child. The Elko County Sheriffs Office was notified in July of possible sexual contact between David Ralph Anderson, 61, and a girl younger than 14. According to Elko Justice Court records, the victim told investigators that on seven to 10 occasions between 2010 and this year, Anderson allegedly taught the victim about various sexual acts and had sexual contact in the form of touching each others genitals. Feds Search for 'Illegal Wood' COMMENTARY | While the Obama administration talks a good game about creating American jobs, the government is setting about with a will to destroy them. The latest instance was a bizarre raid on the Gibson Guitar factory by the Fish and Wildlife Service. Apparently the feds were looking for "illegal wood" imported from India. The wood is alleged to be "illegal" because it was imported unfinished, the idea being it would be finished by American rather than Indian workers. The kicker is that the wood in question is not illegal under American law, but under a U.S. government interpretation of Indian law. The raid was conducted ...

How many times have you heard the mainstream media dismiss certain points of view as "conspiracy theories"? It seems as though one of the easiest ways to brush something off is to label it as something that only "conspiracy theorists" would believe. Well, you know what? A whole lot of the time the "conspiracy theorists" are right and the mainstream media is wrong. In fact, we owe a great debt to "conspiracy theorists" because they will go places and investigate things that the mainstream media would never even touch. The reality is that the mainstream media only tells us what the government and the big corporations want us to hear, and much of the ...

(RT) Two days before Brett Elders sixteenth birthday, Bay City Police tased the 15 year old to death. This is how on March 22, 2009 police reacted to a dispute between Elder and another individual. On that Michigan morning, the boy was inebriated, and according to the officers involved, he alledgedly attempted to fight them, leading an officer to use his Taser. One witness, however, said Elder had already been cuffed by the officers when the cop fired-off the weapon. He was flopping around and looked like a fish out of water, Cindy Hernden told Tom Eley of World Socialist Web Site back in 2009. Thats the only way to explain it his whole body was bent ...
US government asset seizures on the rise Post Date: 2011-08-25 09:44:37 by Capitalist Eric

The Wall Street Journal published a disturbing article earlier this week entitled "Federal Asset Seizures Rise, Netting Innocent With Guilty." You can already imagine the crux of the article. In the United States, there are hundreds of regulations which authorize dozens federal agencies to confiscate private property-- homes, cars, bank accounts, gold, company shares, and even personal effects. Ironically, most Americans still think that they live in a country where you're innocent until proven guilty. Nothing could be further from the truth, and it's just another clear example of how the US Constitution has become a worthless piece of toilet paper for the federal ...

Years ago, I bought a domain name: www.NeverSayRetire.com. I did this because I have long been aware of a crisis that will face tens of millions of Americans. They will not be able to afford to retire. Every Western government has lied to its citizens, All have promised to provide an old age safety net. These promises will soon be broken. Americans have long accepted these promises at face value. They have not applied a discount for the high risk of a government default on its IOUs. They have also not applied a discount for price inflation to compensate them for a politically inevitable policy. Yet they are becoming vaguely aware that the government will in some way wiggle out of its ...

The Federal Bureau of Investigation employs upwards of 15,000 undercover agents today, ten times what they had on the roster back in 1975. If you think thats a few spies too many spies earning as much as $100,000 per assignment one doesnt have to go too deep into their track record to see their accomplishments. Those agents are responsible for an overwhelming amount of terrorist stings that have stopped major domestic catastrophes in the vein of 9/11 from happening on American soil. Another thing those agents are responsible for, however, is plotting those very schemes. The FBI has in recent years used trained informants not just to snitch on suspected ...

Flashback: Obama in 2008: Adding $4 Trillion to National Debt ‘Unpatriotic’ Post Date: 2011-08-24 11:52:10 by Happy Quanzaa

(CNSNews.com) Although the national debt under President Barack Obama has increased $4 trillion since he took office in 2009, as a presidential candidate in 2008 Obama criticized then-President George W. Bush for adding $4 trillion to the national debt, saying it was unpatriotic and also irresponsible to saddle future generations with such a large national debt. The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars for the first 42 presidents -- number 43 added $4 trillion dollars by his lonesome, ...
Currency Collapse - Where Now ? Post Date: 2011-08-24 09:36:52 by Capitalist Eric

One thing is sure and certain. Permanent avoidance of economic, financial and monetary reality has resulted in the USA, European Union and Japan facing unmanageable and self-reinforcing debt spirals that - logically - should lead to currency collapse. By political decision, the "only solution" is to decree harsh austerity plans cutting economic growth and government tax revenues, and paper over the problem with massive amounts of newly printed currency. The only logical result is a stampede into gold and other precious metals. Occasionally, and without conviction, there will be a partial selloff in gold and some dip buying of eroding and fragile equities. In a process of ...
More on the Electric Edsel [Obama's Chevy Volt Debacle] Post Date: 2011-08-23 16:32:51 by Capitalist Eric

Well, heres a surprise the Chevy Volt electric car isnt selling. Only 3,200 of these $41,000 economy cars have found buyers so far most of them probably in the Hollywood hills, where it is trendy for the rich to show green (Leonardo DiCaprio owns a $100k Tesla electric roadster). But out in the real world, the idea of a $41k economy car doesnt parse. Yes, the Volt is a brilliant piece of engineering. But thats neither here nor there if it costs more to operate than a standard economy car, which is ultimately the only criteria that matters as far as the marketplace viability of electric cars. This is so obvious that ...
Obama Baits the Dependency Trap Post Date: 2011-08-23 15:19:05 by Happy Quanzaa

The Obama administration is busy expanding the exact type of vicious, ungrateful underclass which recently exploded in London. An administration program will expand free school meal coverage to millions of young people who are not even supposed to be eligible. A stated goal of the program is to eliminate the stigma of getting a free lunch. But that stigma is one of the only things separating dignified free people from wretched government dependants. There is a lot of gray in between, but the Obama program would take students from a young age and nudge them in the wrong direction. Here's how the program works: if 40% of students at a school qualify for public assistance, then every ...

I hope you are.Today proved one thing - oversold doesn't mean jack. The ~20 handle pop into the open was sold into immediately, despite the market's severely-oversold condition.A condition that is worse than during the height of the 08/09 crash.Drill that into your head folks: The government doesn't get it, exactly as they didn't get it in early 2008. They are, right now, squandering the opportunity to take effective action. I know this for a fact because the Republican Caucus has refused to address the issue and I know they're aware of it. This weekend I listened to McCain with his condescending bullcrap on talk TV. Let me remind you, this is the ...
