RACIAL BLACKMAIL: Maxine Waters Hammers NBC Over Minority Hiring by John Nolte Theres something absurdly satisfying about watching leftists attack other leftists using leftist tactics. NBC is just now discovering that their ObamaVision push last year coupled with their obtuse propaganda arm over at NBC News and MSNBC made them the perfect target for a racial demagogue like Rep. Maxine Waters. NBC bending over when it comes to all things PC and Obama probably had them under the mistaken impression that their appeasement would satisfy Leftist Bullies like Waters, when all it really does is invite more bullying. Comcast and NBC want to merge. This is a very big deal that will ...

The campaign image By Jordy Yager - 06/08/10 06:00 AM ET Why does Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.) take off her blingy jewelry when she goes to talk with veterans? Why does Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) still wear the bright orange shirts that gained him notoriety as a lawyer? And why does Rep. Zach Wamp (R-Tenn.) own three pairs of cowboy boots? Image. As lawmakers enter the grueling campaign season, many are re-examining the way they present themselves in order to be ready when voters ask: Are they one of us? Are they comfortable in their own skin? Do they fit the image of what I want my politician to look like? First impressions are everlasting, and when you walk ...

Will AZ voters reelect that back peddling & flip-flopping John McCain? It would seem that Gov. Jan Brewer has more POLITICAL stones then the sum total of McCain the war hero, Bush1 the war hero, Clinton the draft dodger, and Bush2 the weekend warrior. If these men had what Gov. Jan Brewer has, then there would be not illegal crises today. So now the war hero McCain wants to keep his job. God bless him for his sacrifice. However the issues AZ faces are today. McCain co-authored an amnesty bill for illegals. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,2557

NRA endorsement of McCain destroys groups credibility Those who are familiar with this site will recall that the National Rifle Association (NRA) has been on the Seeing Red AZ blogroll since the inception of this website in June 2007. Take a good hard look, because the link will soon be coming down. Yesterday we posted the endorsements U.S. Senate candidate J. D. Hayworth received from former NRA President Bob Corbin and from the Gun Owners of America. Yet the NRA, which has previously referred to John McCain as one of the premier flag carriers for the enemies of the second amendment, inexplicably gave McCain their endorsement. In endorsing Hayworth, the Gun Owners ...

With Obama's blessings, LGBT month kicks off The day after the House and a Senate committee voted to repeal the U.S. military's ban on homosexuals serving openly in the military, President Barack Obama ushered in another month-long celebration of the homosexual lifestyle. As he did last year -- and as President Bill Clinton did for the first time in 2000 -- Obama proclaimed the month of June as "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month." President George W. Bush issued no such proclamations during his two terms in the Oval Office. Obama's proclamation on Friday touts how his administration has "advanced our journey" in ...

This Is Not James Madison's Census By Rob Schwarzwalder Karl Rove is appearing on Census Bureau ads assuring us that "If you've not yet mailed back your 2010 Census form, it's not too late. Please answer the 10 easy questions," Rove adds. "They're almost the same ones that Madison helped write for the first census back in 1790." Well, not quite. The 1790 Census was a bit more succinct than the interpersonal inquisition of the current form. Specifically, it asked the following: the name of the "head of household," the number of "free white males 16 years and upward" and "under 16 years," the number of "free white ...

NY Nearly Goes Broke Again, Delays Paying Bills Published: Wednesday, 2 Jun 2010 | 9:43 AM ET New York state delayed paying $2.5 billion of bills as a short-term way of staying solvent but its cash crunch could get even worse in August and September, Budget Director Robert Megna said on Tuesday. "Had we not done that, I think we would have been close to broke," Megna told reporters in Albany. This is the third time since December the cash-poor state has withheld funds. This time, the state's general fund, which counts everything but federal aid and some specific revenues, ran in the red by about $500 million to $600 million, Megna told reporters. The state was able, ...

Once Israels closest ally in the region, the Turkish government has reacted with fury at last nights Gaza aid ship massacre, condemning it as inhuman state terror. The attacked ship was Turkish in origin and at least two of the slain aid workers were Turkish citizens. Turkey says future aid ships will be dispatched with a military escort so as to prevent future Israeli attacks. Turko-Israeli relations have been on the decline in recent months, including a staged photo-op by the Israeli Foreign Ministry designed to shame Turkeys ambassador. Israel also reportedly arrested a Turkish citizen weeks ago for being a member of a humanitarian group involved with the ...

Ill. Sen. hopeful questioned about military claim SPRINGFIELD, Ill. On a weekend dedicated to honoring military service, Illinois Senate candidate Mark Kirk found himself on the defensive over his past claims that he was named the U.S. Navy's intelligence officer of the year, an award he never won. For years, Kirk and his staff have said he was officer of the year. Now, the Republican, who's in a tough race for President Barack Obama's old Senate seat, acknowledges that isn't true and says his official biography incorrectly described an award won by his unit, not Kirk personally. Kirk's Democratic opponent called it proof that Kirk is a "typical ...

Theres a giant paradox in the nations housing market now. Mortgage interest rates have fallen to near all-time lows, yet homeowners as a whole are in a state of unease not seen since the Great Depression. In 2009, nearly 4 million foreclosure notices went out to homeowners unable to keep up with their payments, an increase of more than 20 percent from 2008. ~ snip ~ Our nation has over-invested in housing. To put the matter more simply, weve bought more housing than we can afford. ~ snip ~ The question arises: Why did this recklessness happen? As Wallison and Calomiris note, the federal government for years had applied intense pressure to primary and secondary lenders ...

DETROIT (AP) -- Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced to up to five years in prison Tuesday for violating the terms of his probation on an obstruction of justice conviction. Kilpatrick, 39, asked Judge David Groner to show him compassion during the hearing, but Groner said "that ship has sailed." Groner said Kilpatrick would have to serve at least 1 1/2 years in prison, but that he would be credited for 120 days of time served from his original sentence. He is still obligated to pay back the remaining balance of his $1 million debt to the city of Detroit. Kilpatrick, the father of three young sons, was led from the courtroom in handcuffs.
