Mexico now busing asylum seekers to their southern border Post Date: 2019-08-24 02:39:47 by Tooconservative

Things seem to be heating up south of the border, and Im not talking about a Taco Bell advertisement. The Remain in Mexico policy agreed to by the Mexican government is still in effect, but nobody really specified exactly where in Mexico asylum seekers were supposed to wait. This week the Mexican government took matters into their own hands, at least in some cases. They began packing up some of the migrants on buses and sending them down near the Guatemalan border. (NY Post) Mexico is sending some of the 30,000 Central American migrants vying for asylum in the United States on 750-mile bus rides all the way back to southern Mexico, officials said. The ...
Trump May Issue Exec Order Ending Citizenship For Babies Of Illegal Immigrants: Calls It ‘Frankly Ridiculous’ Post Date: 2019-08-22 11:07:24 by Tooconservative

On Wednesday, President Trump stated that he is thinking of issuing an executive order that would prevent the children born on American soil to illegal immigrants from gaining automatic American citizenship, calling so-called birthright citizenship frankly ridiculous. Trump told reporters, Birthright citizenship where you have a baby in our land, walk over the border, have a baby, congratulations the baby is now a U.S. citizen. Were looking at it very, very seriously. When he was apprised that one reporter knew of Trumps intent to go forward with an executive order, which he had mentioned in 2018, he responded, I ...
Trump administration releases new 'public charge' rule making it easier to reject immigrants Post Date: 2019-08-13 11:13:00 by Tooconservative

The Trump administration on Monday released the final version of a controversial rule that dramatically increases the government's ability to reject green cards for people who are deemed likely to depend on government aid such as food stamps, housing assistance and Medicaid. The new "public charge" rule would link a subject's immigration status to their income and their use of certain public programs. Published in the Federal Register, the rule will officially be released Wednesday and go into effect 60 days later. Ken Cuccinelli, the acting director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, announced the rule at a press briefing at the White House on Monday ...
Mexico vows to take legal action against U.S. after El Paso massacre Post Date: 2019-08-05 07:07:04 by A K A Stone

Mexico on Sunday threatened to take legal action against the United States for failing to protect its citizens after this weekend's mass shooting in the border city of El Paso. Of the 20 people gunned down at a Walmart at the Cielo Vista Mall, at least seven were Mexican citizens, and Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard promised Mexico City will act. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry called the attack in El Paso a "terrorist act against innocent Mexicans." Ebrard called Saturday's shooting an act of barbarism. The president has instructed me to ensure that Mexicos indignation translates into ... efficient, prompt, expeditious and forceful legal ...

The US military is conducting wide area surveillance tests across six midwest states using experimental high-altitude balloons, documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reveal. Up to 25 unmanned solar-powered balloons are being launched from rural South Dakota and drifting 250 miles through an area spanning portions of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Missouri, before concluding in central Illinois. Travelling in the stratosphere at altitudes of up to 65,000ft, the balloons are intended to provide a persistent surveillance system to locate and deter narcotic trafficking and homeland security threats, according to a filing made on behalf of the Sierra Nevada ...
Attorney General William Barr Puts Additional Limits On Asylum Claims [no more 'violent gangs' lies] Post Date: 2019-07-30 05:21:03 by Tooconservative

Attorney General William Barr ruled Monday that being a member of a family harassed by gangs is not enough to qualify for asylum. No asylum for you, lying line-jumpers! In a ruling that will likely block a large number of immigrants from lodging successful asylum claims moving forward, Barr overturned a previous decision made by Board of Immigration Appeals, which found that being a member of family targeted by gangs or other criminal organizations could qualify them as a particular social group worthy of U.S. asylum. The White Houses top lawyer argued that the decision by the Board of Immigration Appeals was too broad, making it so that virtually every ...

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico It was the first phone call to his family back in Honduras since crossing the Texas-Mexico border, and Olvin Alexander Buezo had bad news. He wasnt in the United States as expected. His 7-year-old son would not be attending elementary school this fall in Foley, Alabama. There would be no good-paying U.S. job to finance the $6,000 debt he incurred to pay their smuggler. I already told [my uncle] to sell everything, Buezo said during the brief but somber phone call to his wife on Tuesday. Their small farm less than three acres would have to go. President Donald Trump said on Friday that his administration has reached an agreement with Guatemala to restrict asylum application to the United States from nations south of the U.S. border. "The so-called 'safe third country' agreement would require migrants, including Salvadorans and Hondurans, who cross into Guatemala on their way to the U.S. to apply for protections in Guatemala instead of at the U.S. border," The Associated Press reported. "It could potentially ease the crush of migrants overwhelming the U.S. immigration system and hand Trump a concession he could herald as a win." .@realDonaldTrump: The United States and Guatemala have reached an ...

Nearly two-thirds of voters consider illegal immigrants a burden. Fifty-five percent of them want all illegal immigrants kicked out of the country. Is this a poll from border states, or states won by Donald Trump in 2016? Actually, these numbers come from a survey conducted by the Washington Post and Reforma, a leading daily in Mexico. Donald Trump may not be popular in Mexico, but his immigration policy seems to be: Mexicans are deeply frustrated with immigrants after a year of heightened migration from Central America through the country, according to a survey conducted by The Washington Post and Mexicos Reforma newspaper. Just heard Rush mention at tail end of his show that additional troops were being sent to the border to " help " immigrants. Rush questioned : " What happened to stopping them from entering the country ? " , and " What happened to transporting them to Sanctuary Cities ? ". Rush then commented " What is going on ? " Damn good questions !!!! I was slightly distracted, on phone with one of my Doctors getting a prescription refilled. Rush sounded upset. So am I. In spite of Trumps bluster about stopping the invasion, it seems that is all bullshite !! Maybe someone here can report something more encouraging.

Before getting into the details of this crazy omnibus bill, its important to recognize that we dont understand all the details. The worst provisions are written in vague language ensconced in an 1,169-page bill, which has already been posted online in two different versions (the first was 10 pages shorter). That is exactly why Democrats are salivating to vote on this within a few hours of passage, which is exactly why Trump has a responsibility to oppose it immediately and demand at least a short-term clean continuing resolution so that he can digest the consequences of this bill. If he cannot make that simple demand, which would not even trigger a phony shutdown, then his ...
