Right Wingers Plot Sellout on Amnesty for Illegals 'Compromise' designed to provide cover for GOP

A group of right-wing Republicans in Washington, D.C., is planning to betray the nation's grassroots opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens. The group, which includes the chairman of the American Conservative Union (ACU) and former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich, is pushing a guest worker amnesty plan developed by Rep. Mike Pence, R-IN (pictured), that includes allowing unlimited immigration to the U.S. A key supporter of the amnesty plan is ACU Chairman David Keene who raises money for his group through mass direct mail appeals to conservative Middle Americans by claiming to oppose amnesty for illegals. Writing in the Wall Street Journal, which has published editorials calling for ...

JOHN W LILLPOP - One Additional Executive Order Needed, Mr. President

A tip of the hat to President George W Bush for executing the Executive Order of June 23, 2006, pertaining to the protection of property rights for the American people. That Executive Order is a very welcome remedy in light of the devastating Kelo decision by the United States Supreme Court one year ago. One additional Executive Order is urgently needed to address an issue that directly effects the health and safety of all American citizens: Illegal immigration. With the stroke of a pen, Mr. Bush could put an end to the contentious debate about comprehensive immigration reform, while simultaneously strengthening homeland security, reducing the size and cost of government, and preserving ...

WASHINGTON Jun 23, 2006 (AP)— A Republican gubernatorial candidate's call for creation of a forced labor camp for illegal immigrants drew rebukes Friday from two GOP lawmakers, who labeled it a low point in the immigration debate. Don Goldwater, nephew of the late Sen. Barry Goldwater, caused an international stir this week when EFE, a Mexican news service, quoted him as saying he wanted to hold undocumented immigrants in camps to use them "as labor in the construction of a wall and to clean the areas of the Arizona desert that they're polluting." The article described Goldwater's plan as a "concentration camp" for migrants. Goldwater, a candidate for governor in ...

Romanizing America Through Illegal Immigration Pastor Ralph Ovadal is pastor of Pilgrims Covenant Church, Wisconsin, USA Pastor Ralph Ovadal In recent weeks, the advocates of the "rights" of illegal Mexican immigrants, accompanied by and even led by Roman Catholic priests, have staged rallies, protests, and parades all across the United States of America. On 25th March, 500,000 people took to the streets of Los Angeles, flying Mexican flags and chanting slogans such as "Viva Mexico!" Another 500,000 marched in Dallas on April 9, waving Mexican flags with "Our Lady of Guadalupe" emblazoned in the center. On May 1, a favorite Communist holiday, illegals ...

Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 15, 2006 -- Revelations in an upcoming book by the founder of the Minuteman Project and the co-author of “Unfit for Command” may result in a Congressional investigation of the White House, this according to the authors. At issue are the Bush Administration's secretive efforts to establish a North American regulatory agency with Mexico and Canada. “Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders” (World Ahead Publishing; hardcover: $25.95; ISBN 0977898415) is authored by Jim Gilchrist and Jerome R. Corsi and scheduled for nationwide release on July 25. But shocking information contained in the book is already causing concern among lawmakers ...

Top conservative leaders have written President Bush telling him to drop his insistence on a guest-worker program and a path to citizenship for illegal aliens and instead support the 85 percent of congressional Republicans who want to tighten law enforcement first. Signers include William J. Bennett, Robert H. Bork, Ward Connerly, David A. Keene, Phyllis Schlafly and a number of think-tank academics and pundits. The immigration debate is the first major issue on which Mr. Bush finds himself opposing a majority of Republicans in Congress and depending on Democrats to deliver a victory. In their letter, the conservatives tell Mr. Bush to side with his fellow Republicans in Congress or risk ...

President Bush has said it over and over again. "Mexico is our friend." You've heard him say it. I've heard him say it. I've just never heard him explain what he means. Do you think "Mexico is our friend"? Do friends treat friends like Mexico treats us? Do friends encourage the violation of other friends? Do friends take strong stands contrary to the stands take by their friends? Do friends jeopardize the health and safety of friends? Do friends violate the space of friends? Do friends support the sworn enemies of their friends? I could go on and on, of course. You could probably join me. But let's talk specifics. Let's talk about what prompts my latest rage ...

We're Being Cheated By Frosty Wooldridge 6-12-6 How's immigration doing in your city or state? In Colorado, immigration adds four million people in 60 years, which will place our state in a water crisis we won't be able to solve. We'll be 'eating' the Brown Cloud over Denver with every breath because it will double in toxicity. Gridlock traffic will paralyze transportation. Our schools already suffer 67 percent drop out/flunk out rates in Denver Public Schools. It's already happening and that's why the 'white flight' articles showed Denver parents taking their kids away from schools inundated with illegal alien kids. The fact stands that 60 percent of Mexican illegals quit school before ...

AP - Washington 7:57 PM Eastern Hopes for a quick compromise on immigration were dealt a blow Tuesday after House Speaker Dennis Hastert said he wanted to take a "long look" at a Senate bill offering possible citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants. Hastert said hearings on the Senate bill should be held before appointing anyone to a House-Senate committee to negotiate a compromise immigration bill. Later, he said he was unsure what the House's next move would be. "We're going to take a long look at it," Hastert said late Tuesday. House Majority Leader John Boehner agreed. "I think we should know clearly what's in the Senate bill," Boehner said. But ...

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn. Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman’s Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation’s most modern highway straight into the heart of America. Without announcing his intentions to do so, President Bush has decided to support the creation of a North American Union through a process of governmental regulations, never having to bring the issue before the American people for a clear referendum or vote. The Bush Administration has decided to "back-door" the creation of a North American Union political entity that would effectively erase our borders with Mexico and Canada and create several super-regional governing bodies that would have jurisdiction over the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court. This analysis has been advanced by economist Miguel Pickard at the Center for Economic and Political Research for Community ...

I know there isn't much good news about the border, but we should all encourage and support the people really giving an effort to protect the borders, even with a government unwilling to give them much help. I know ther was a bill passed to build 735 miles of wall around the border. The mexicand don't like it because we take their criminals and they send money back to good ole mexico. We have the technology to create a shock line against anyone crossing in illegally. Who believes we will utilize it?

- Guillermo Martínez could see the promised land of Southern California from the cramped three-bedroom house he shared here with his mother, his wife and two small children. The smooth, dry hills of San Diego County lay just beyond the slum where he lived, past the cinder block shacks, the garbage-strewn streets and rusted-out cars, past the corrugated steel fence that marks the border, and past the taller metal-columned fence put up in the 1990's to stop people like him from crossing. It was in the no man's land between the fences that he was fatally shot by a United States border patrol agent just after dark on Dec. 30. Powell Says Border Walls Won't Work MEXICO CITY Former Secretary of State Colin Powell said Thursday that extending walls along the U.S.-Mexico border will not solve the problem of illegal immigration. "The Berlin Wall did not work perfectly and the wall that the Israelis are putting up is not going to work perfectly," Powell said. "So, a wall alone is not the answer." An immigration measure approved by the U.S. Senate offers illegal immigrants a chance at citizenship while extending fences along the border. The House passed a measure making all illegal immigrants subject to felony charges. Negotiations to reconcile the proposals have yet to begin. Powell, speaking ...
