Last Modified: Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 - 9:17 am WASHINGTON California and other financially strapped states will lose tens of millions of federal dollars that they spend to jail illegal immigrants charged with crimes, under Congress' latest spending bill. The $1.1 trillion plan, finalized by House and Senate negotiators Tuesday night, combines six of the large yearly appropriations bills passed by Congress to keep the government running. State officials and members of the California congressional delegation had lobbied hard once again to increase aid to the states for the program, hoping to cash in on California's increased clout in Washington this year. But their ...

Perez, De Leon reach truce over speakership By Anthony York | 12/10/09 12:00 AM PST Email Print Assemblyman John Perez, D-Los Angeles, is set to become the next choice for California state Assembly's next speaker, after meeting with his top rival, Kevin De Leon, and De Leon supporters in the Capitol Thursday morning. Perez told reporters Thursday he expected the caucus to vote on a new leader today. It was still unclear whether that leadership change would be formalized in an Assembly floor vote or not. Perez met with about one dozen Assembly Democrats who were still backing De Leon for the Assembly's top job. De Leon supporters came out of the meeting voicing support for ...

An illegal immigrant injured on the job is entitled to state worker compensation benefits, according to a Nebraska Court of Appeals decision released Tuesday. Odilon Visoso was injured May 9, 2006, at Cargill in Schuyler when a 100-pound slab of meat fell from a hook and hit the back of his head, neck and shoulder. Visoso, who used the name Adam Rodriguez, continued to work at Cargill on light duty until surgery in early October 2008. The company fired him late that same month because he was an illegal worker. The appellate court upheld a Worker Compensation Court decision that the worker compensation law covers all employees injured on the job -- even those in the country illegally. So ...

On Sunday afternoon, Boynton Beach police arrested Leticia Flores, 28, for the hit-and-run killing of 10-year-old Darness Brown. The girls 13-year-old sister, Darneisha Ellis, was also injured when Flores allegedly hit their scooter. Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said the girls were riding their scooter on Southwest Ninth Avenue at Southwest Third Street when Flores hit them with her Honda SUV. In what had to be a sickening scene, Darneisha told the police that as her sister was dying next to her, Flores jumped out of her vehicle and screamed at the two girls for being on the street, she then fled the scene. The girls story was supported by an eyewitness. ...

People who believe they've been wronged by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office now have a tip line to call, thanks to the U.S. Department of Justice. People who call the tip line, which is in English and Spanish, at 877-613-2137 are asked to leave their names and numbers. The DOJ is investigating claims of racial profiling by Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his deputies during crime-suppression sweeps, traffic stops and immigration raids. Sources also said the FBI is investigating claims that Arpaio is abusing his power as sheriff by targeting those who disagree with him with investigations. Justice Department spokesman Alejandro Miyar told the Phoenix Business Journal that the tip line is ...
OBAMA IS A FUCKING LIAR SEEKS ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN Post Date: 2009-02-26 08:56:50 by A K A Stone

The Obama administration will seek to reinstate the assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 during the Bush administration, Attorney General Eric Holder said today. "As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder told reporters. Holder said that putting the ban back in place would not only be a positive move by the United States, it would help cut down on the flow of guns going across the border into Mexico, which is struggling with heavy violence among drug cartels along the border. "I think that will have a ...

I had the opportunity today to witness a historic event. I was at the Nutter Center in Dayton Ohio when John McCain announced his running mate to the world. He chose Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin. The place was packed. The crowd was enthusiastic. McCain was tied up in traffic on interstate 675 so he arrived a little late. There was rock music playing to warm up the crowd. When John Mccain came out the crowd gave him a very loud applause that lasted for about 5 minutes before he was able to speak. McCain spoke briefly before announcing that he had chosen a woman. He mentioned something about her being a union member, a mother, and some other things. The crowd grew enthusiastic as they knew ...
US border wall increases risk to lives of Tohono O'odham from monsoon flash floods Post Date: 2008-08-17 21:24:58 by A K A Stone

LUKEVILLE, Ariz. - The risk to the lives of Tohono O'odham and other residents living on the Arizona and Sonora border due to monsoon flash floods has increased because of a newly constructed border wall. Homeland Security flaunted federal laws and the laws of nature to build the border wall in 2008. In a report made public this week, the National Park Service details the ecological and infrastructure damage in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument caused by flood obstruction and debris accumulation along recently constructed portions of the border wall. Tohono O'odham and others reside in the area on both sides of the international border. The report points out that the border ...

LOS ANGELESAn immigration activist who sought refuge inside a Chicago church for a year was arrested in Los Angeles this afternoon after taking her campaign on the road. Elvira Arellano was arrested about 4:15 p.m. Chicago time by law-enforcement officials after leaving Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in downtown Los Angeles, said Emma Lozano, an adviser who was there during the arrest. After talking to news media inside the church, Arellano and her supporters got into their van to head north to San Jose, where she was scheduled to speak at another church, Lozano said. Moments after they entered the van, an unmarked vehicle stopped them. The driver of Arellano's van, Roberto ...

Even as Sen. Barack Obama found himself under fire from the Hillary Clinton campaign over what she called his "naive" intention to meet with leaders of countries hostile to the U.S., the presidential hopeful praised the recent court decision overturning one city's attempt to protect itself from hostile foreigners filling their streets with drugs, crime and gangs as "a victory for all Americans."
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge James Munley overturned Hazleton, Pa.'s "Illegal Immigration Relief Act" in a 206-page opinion that declared states and municipalities have no authority to stem illegal immigration.
As WND reported, Hazelton passed an ordinance July 13, 2006, to deter housing ...
Sheriff perfects method for catching illegals Post Date: 2007-06-27 18:21:56 by A K A Stone

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) - The sheriff's department has developed a remarkably effectiveand controversialway of catching illegal immigrants: Deputies in patrol cars pull up to a construction site in force, and watch and see who runs. Those who take off are chased down and arrested on charges such as trespassing, for cutting through someone else's property, or loitering, for hiding out in someone's yard, or reckless driving, for speeding off in a car. U.S. immigration authorities are then given the names of those believed to be in this country illegally. "It's not wrong for them to run, but it's not wrong for us to chase them either," said ...

http://VDARE.com note: Readers are aware of how much we like to publish what the MSM is too politically correct and cowardly to report. This PowerPoint slideshow from NumbersUSA is an example of exactly that. What is this un-reportable information? That there are armed and dangerous foreigners manning Listening Posts and Lookout Posts (LP/OPs) for at least 200 miles into US soil. They are heavily armed Mexicans, with military and police training, who have invaded and occupied southern Arizona to protect drug runnerswho are also, of course, illegal alien smugglers. And we have the pictures to prove it. [Click to see full-sized version] After working with several federal agencies in ...

WASHINGTON, June 11, 2007 A senior defense official expressed hope today that a provision in the stalled immigration bill that would have allowed some undocumented aliens to join the military wont fall off the radar screen. The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors, or DREAM, provision in the immigration bill was expected to help boost military recruiting, Bill Carr, acting deputy undersecretary of defense for military personnel policy, said today during a telephone conference with veterans group representatives. The DREAM provision offered a way for high-achieving children of undocumented or illegal residents to join the military and, ultimately, become ...
Fred Thompson: No Restrictionist Hero Post Date: 2007-06-06 00:26:17 by A K A Stone

Mitt Romney is rightly being hit for his flip-flop on immigration. However, Fred Thompson's "tough" stance isn't exactly enough to make him the restrictionists' hero, either. As recently as 2006, Mr. Thompson clearly stated that some sort of legalization or "amnesty" would be necessary. He seems to be for a virtual border fence (like President Bush) instead of a brick-and-mortar one. And he doesn't want tough sanctions for employers. This all puts Mr. Thompson roughly in line with Rudy Giuliani. On a path to citizenship: "[B]ecause we allowed ourselves to wait until we woke up one day and found 12 million illegals here, there's ...
Robo-Snipers, "Auto Kill Zones" to Protect Israeli Borders Post Date: 2007-06-06 00:05:16 by A K A Stone

For years and years, the Israeli military has been trying to figure out a way to keep Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip from crossing over into Israel proper. The latest tactic: create a set of "automated kill zones" by networking together remote-controlled machine guns, ground sensors, and drones along the 60-kilometer border. Samson_rcws Defense News' Barbara Opall-Rome reports that "initial deployment plans for the See-Shoot system call for mounting a 0.5-caliber automated machine gun in each of several pillboxes interspersed along the Gaza border fence." Connected via fiber optics to a remote operator station and a command-and-control center, each ...

Satire By John W. Lillpop Open Letter To President Felipe Calderon: "Undocumented Boomers" Coming to Mexico! Dear President Calderon: As you are no doubt aware, America the Great is quickly becoming America the Gray. The so-called "boomer" generation, comprised of approximately 40 million Americans, will soon reach retirement age. America's boomers are generally well educated, financially solvent, socially active, and, quite frankly, dead tired. Our seniors yearn for a less frantic pace and a lifestyle that allows one to pause and smell the roses now and again. In other words, boomers are looking for the "Good Life" which is supposed to accrue to ...

2/25/2007 2:58 PM As America's war on terror president, George W. Bush is perfectly right to be obsessed with homeland security as a means for combating terrorism. Unfortunately, the president's concern applies only to borders in Iraq and Afghanistan, and not here at home. Although President Bush has ordered more than one hundred fifty thousand (and counting) American men and women to serve in harm's way 8,000 miles from home, and has spent nearly one half trillion dollars of taxpayer money on the war, he refuses to secure America's borders and to enforce U.S. immigration laws. The Bush position on illegal aliens seems to be based on the following nonsensical ...

By John W. Lillpop Is Mexico Governed by Complete Idiots? With 30 million third-world Mexican illegal alien peasants dumped on the backs of U.S. taxpayers, one would expect Mexican officials to keep their mouths shut about border violation issues. You know, do not bring up a subject that will expose your own criminality and vulnerability. But Mexico is obviously a land of pandemic stupidity. What else can one conclude after learning that Mexico's Congress has condemned what it says is a border violation by U.S. workers building a controversial barrier between the two countries? Bank of "AMERICA"? Hardly! Satire by John W. Lillpop As further testament to the fact that some American business entities will stoop to unbelievable and despicable depths in pursuit of more profit, the so-called Bank of America has decided to troll the illegal alien market for gold. Forsaking legitimate concerns about homeland security, rule of law, U.S. sovereignty, and American language and culture, vipers at BofA have announced that credit cards will be offered to "undocumented immigrants," more correctly known as illegal aliens. Under this anti-America plan, criminals here illegally will be able to establish credit without providing a social security ...

John W. Lillpop America has not always been governed by a pro-illegal alien president who works on behalf of big business and the Mexican government. Our CEO has not always been willing to sacrifice homeland security for cheap fruit. We have not always been cursed with a sell out president who bases all of his immigration policy on a philosophy of "No Wetback Left Behind." There was a time when our president really cared about American sovereignty, borders, culture, and language. The last best example of this was during the administration of Republican Dwight Eisenhower, under whom which "Operation Wetback" was launched. The following description of ...
