Israel ‘To Evacuate Tel Aviv’ In Event Of Missile Attack

Israel will evacuate the entire population of Tel Aviv if it is hit by missiles, particularly if they have unconventional warheads, the commander in charge of Israel’s central region told AFP. Colonel Adam Zusman, chief of the Home Front Command in Israel’s Gush Dan region, which encompasses the city of Tel Aviv and its environs, said an attack on the centre of the country would force massive evacuations. “In case of a missile attack on the centre of Israel, especially unconventional, the population from Tel Aviv and other cities will be evacuated and relocated in other areas of the country,” Zusman told AFP in an interview at the weekend. “Massive evacuations ...

China And Russia Seal Power Pact

CHINA and Russia vowed to step up joint military exercises yesterday, raising fears of a regional arms race after Washington declared the US Navy was bolstering its presence in the Asia-Pacific. The deal between the nuclear powers capped summit talks in Beijing for the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation. The grouping of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also weighed into the international tensions over the Syrian uprising and Iran's nuclear program. The group said it opposed outside military intervention in the Middle East, a day after the Syrian opposition accused forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad of massacring 100 people. The SCO called for a ...

Obama Ordered The "Code Stux" [Stuxnet Virus]

When Iran's nuclear facilities were publicly crippled in 2011 by what then was considered a revolutionary computer virus which destroys physical equipment, many immediately assumed the virus originated in Israel for obvious reasons. They were wrong. In what can be described as the first presidentially-mandated and condoned act of cyberwarfare, one circumventing the War Powers Act of course, the NYT informs us that the order to physically impair Iranian sovereignty came from none other than the Nobel Peace prize winning president: Barack Obama. From the NYT: From his first months in office, President Obama secretly ordered increasingly sophisticated attacks on the computer systems that ...

Romney's Memorial Day Promise: To Maintain A US Military 'With No Comparable Power Anywhere'

SAN DIEGO — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney promised Monday to maintain an American military "with no comparable power anywhere in the world." The likely Republican presidential nominee faced a San Diego crowd estimated at 5,000 in what was billed as a Memorial Day service paying tribute to the nation's war dead, not a campaign rally. But without naming his general election rival, Romney drew clear contrasts with President Barack Obama on the issue of defense. The Democratic president has proposed reducing the size of the military following the end of the U.S. combat role in Iraq and plans to removes troops from Afghanistan at the end of 2014. "We ...

Medvedev: Infringing National Sovereignty Could Lead To Nuclear Apocalypse

Diminishing the principle of state sovereignty is fraught with the destruction of the world order and a full-scale war, even with the use of nuclear weapons, warns Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. “We have seen many examples of infringements on sovereignty in the recent years. Just remember military operations against foreign countries in violation of UN resolutions, statements that this or that regime has lost legitimacy – by the way, from the point of view of a foreign state rather than the people in question – as well as introduction of sanctions bypassing international organizations,” Medvedev stated at the International Legal Forum in St. Petersburg. He ...

The United States is leading what it described as the "largest military exercises in the Middle East in 10 years" in Jordan on Tuesday. Eager Lion 2012 “is the largest exercise held in the region in the past ten years,” Major General Ken Tovo, head of the US Special Operations Forces, told reporters in Amman. “Yesterday we began to apply the skills that we have developed over the last weeks in an irregular warfare scenario … They will last for approximately the coming two weeks,” he added. “The message that I want to send through this exercise is that we have developed the right partners throughout the region and across the world … insuring ...

'It Will Lead To War' - Ron Paul Fights To End Military Aid For Israel

Presidential hopeful Ron Paul has condemned a plan being considered in the United States House of Representatives that would allow for the US to continue aiding in the defense of Israel by equipping the Jewish state’s military with added weaponry. From Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) attacked the contents of an act currently up for discussion that, if passed, would reestablish America’s major role in Israeli affairs. Rep Paul fears, however, that it would do more harm than good for all nations involved. To House Speak John Boehner, Paul said that H.R. 4133, the United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012, “is another piece of ...

Russia's Military Threatens Preemptive Strike If NATO Goes Ahead With Missile Plan

Russia's top military officer has threatened to carry out a pre-emptive strike on U.S.-led NATO missile defense facilities in Eastern Europe if Washington goes ahead with its controversial plan to build a missile shield. President Dmitry Medvedev said last year that Russia will retaliate militarily if it does not reach an agreement with the United States and NATO on the missile defense system. Chief of General Staff Nikolai Makarov went even further Thursday. "A decision to use destructive force pre-emptively will be taken if the situation worsens," he said at an international conference attended by senior U.S. and NATO officials. Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov ...

BEIJING, April 22 (Xinhuanet) -- China and Russia have begun their first ever joint naval exercises. The war games are taking place in the Yellow Sea and are scheduled to run until April 27th. China has deployed 16 ships and two submarines for the drill. This includes five missile destroyers, five missile frigates, four missile boats, a support vessel and a hospital ship. They’ll be accompanied by 13 aircraft and five shipboard helicopters. The Russian contingent, four warships from their Pacific Fleet plus three supply ships, left their home port in Vladivostok on April 15. 'The Asian Arms Race Is Starting to Look Ominous'

Asia's military might appears to be growing by leaps and bounds these days. Just last month, China announced a significant increase to its military spending. Since then, North Korea attempted (and failed) to launch a rocket into space, the United States began a joint military exercise with the Philippines and, on Thursday, South Korea tested a missile whose range includes all of North Korea. The biggest headlines, however, have been reserved for India's testing on Thursday of a long-range ballistic missile. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh praised the successful launch, saying it was "another milestone" in India's "quest for security, preparedness and to ...

Over the last month we have reported on the numerous and increasingly alarming purchases of hollow point ammuntion by the Department of Homeland Security. While many have claimed that it is completely normal for domestic government agencies to order over 750 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammo, the fact remains that these purchases have been anything but normal and signal a full scale militarization of various government agencies that could one day take on the American people. Now, a new post on the infamous FBO.gov website by Homeland Security is once against raising eyebrows. In the request, the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation shows that the following ammunition is set to be ...

A group of criminal terrorists and mercenaries cooperating with them has been arrested," the ministry said in a statement picked up by the Iranian outlets. Russian Security Council head Viktor Ozerov said that Russian General Military Headquarters has prepared an action plan in the event of an attack on Iran. Dmitry Rogozin, who recently was the Russian ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, warned against an attack on Iran. "Iran is our neighbor," Rogozin said. ) Russian Defense Ministry sources told the semiofficial news agency Interfax that action plans are being finalized to react to an armed conflict involving Iran and its nuclear program. The General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces “calculates” that military action against Iran will commence “in the summer” of 2012. Since Israel does not have sufficient assets to defeat Iranian defenses, the Russian military considers US military involvement inevitable (Interfax, March 30). Bits of information have been appearing, indicating the essence of Russian military action. Last December it was disclosed that families of servicemen from the Russian base in Armenia have been ...

Driving Inside the Soviets’ Secret Submarine Lair [Pics and Video]

View as gallery In 1953, Joseph Stalin signed the plans for a top-secret nuclear submarine base that would become the operational home for the fearsome Soviet Black Sea Fleet. Hidden inside the base of a mountain in the port town of Balaklava on Ukraine’s Crimean coast, the 15,300 square-foot facility took nine years to build and its entrance camouflaged from spy planes. It could survive a direct nuclear hit and at maximum capacity could hold 3,000 people with supplies to sustain them for a month. Best of all, the vast subs that slunk in and out of here between tours of duty could enter and leave underwater, keeping them from prying eyes at all times. Once the most sensitive and ...

Why Does The Department Of Homeland Security Need 450 MILLION Hollow Point Bullets?

Somebody out there has decided that the Department of Homeland Security needs a whole lot of ammunition. Recently it was announced that ATK was awarded a contract to provide up to 450 million hollow point bullets to the Department of Homeland Security over the next five years. Is it just me, or does that sound incredibly excessive? What in the world is the DHS going to do with 450 million rounds? What possible event would ever require that much ammunition? If the United States was ever invaded, it would be the job of the U.S. military to defend the country, so that can't be it. So what are all of those bullets for? Who does the Department of Homeland Security plan to be shooting at? ...

Cold as in non-violent and Civil as in nationwide; an attempt to force a new government-controlled ideology upon an unwilling public. And the forces implementing this agenda are relentless. The ...

Pentagon Finds Perils for U.S. if Israel Were to Strike Iran

WASHINGTON — A classified war game held this month to assess the American military’s capabilities to respond to an Israeli attack on Iran forecast that the strike would lead to a wider regional war, which could draw in the United States and leave hundreds of Americans dead, according to American officials. The officials said the war game was not designed as a rehearsal for American military action — and they emphasized that the exercise’s results were not the only possible outcome of a real-world conflict. But the game has raised fears among top American planners that it may be impossible to preclude American involvement in any escalating confrontation with Iran, the ...

A Russian military unit has arrived in Syria, according to Russian news reports, a development that a United Nations Security Council source told ABC News was "a bomb" certain to have serious repercussions. Russia, one of President Bashar al-Assad's strongest allies despite international condemnation of the government's violent crackdown on the country's uprising, has repeatedly blocked the United Nations Security Council's attempts to halt the violence, accusing the U.S. and its allies of trying to start another war. Now the Russian Black Sea fleet's Iman tanker has arrived in the Syrian port of Tartus on the Mediterranean Sea with an anti-terror squad from ...

One argument you’ll hear from the majority of Americans who refuse to wake up to the madness around them is that if there truly was an economic and financial cabal in cahoots with the government we would have heard about it. If this was actually happening, wouldn’t there be insiders from the private and public sectors that would have alerted us to the conspiracies? And wouldn’t the mainstream media report on it? And wouldn’t the Justice Department vigorously pursue and prosecute those responsible for the fraud, theft and manipulation? It turns out that there are whistle-blowers - hundreds of them. But any attack on the establishment is met with either a full-on ...

(CBS News) Meir Dagan has been described as "hard-charging" and "stops at nothing." For more than eight years, Dagan made full use of those qualities as chief of Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency, where he focused on keeping Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. When that job ended, Dagan did something unheard of for an ex-Mossad chief: he spoke out publicly, voicing opposition to Israel launching preemptive airstrikes against Iran's nuclear facilities anytime soon. Dagan believes the Iranian regime is a rational one and even its president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - who has called for Israel to be annihilated - acts in a somewhat rational way when it comes to ...
