Having said that, the system that allows this shakedown is corrupt. I suspect that a settlement was reached because it has become so obvious that the case against Zimmerman is falling apart to the point of non-existence, which is what the initial police investigation found. Trappedinca March 22, 2013 On September 12, 2001 I was outside my Bay Area house hanging our flag at half mast when a black child about 10 years old rode his bike past me yelling Fuck America over and over. A few days later a neighbor, who is an Hispanic attorney, told me that I was over-reacting to 9/11 and that terrorist attacks like this happened all over the world all the time. She suggested I “get over it.” That was when I realized I would have to leave CA. Unfortunately, the malaise I always think of as being indigenous to CA has infected the whole country at this point.
