Common Core School Assignment FORCES Students to Make Islamic Prayer Rugs, Recite Muslim Prayers (Jeb Bush, Islam Packet)

A father in Seminole County, Florida, is stunned after discovering a indoctrination “lesson” on Islam in his son’s 10th-grade history textbook, a book that is also used as part of the Common Core standards across the state. Ron Wagner, who said he admittedly doesn’t normally pay as much attention to his son’s school assignments as he should, just happened to read from his son’s world history book a statement which read, “There is no god, but God. Muhammad is the messenger of God.” Wagner found out that his son is being indoctrinated in the religion of Islam in his 10th grade class from a history book used in school districts across the State of ...

AP Photo/Cliff Owen Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker finished second in the straw poll at CPAC, but he’s the frontrunner in another individual state poll. VoterGravity.com gave Breitbart a preview of its weekly GOP Presidential “flash” poll. The latest survey, conducted last week in Georgia, asked 6,745 “Super Primary” GOP voters to select a candidate. Walker came out on top, with 26 percent. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who skipped CPAC, was second at 22 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was third at 17 percent. “This continues a trend that we’ve been seeing in our previous polls in Ohio, North Carolina, and Iowa,” said Ned Ryun, founder ...

An open letter to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus regarding his comments at CPAC (Republican Liberty Caucus)

Attendees at CPAC Friday were treated to 13 minutes of vacuous remarks and awkward one-liners by RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, the highlight of which was his announcement that the RNC was now in control of how the presidential debates will be handled in the media during the 2016 presidential cycle. Matt Nye, National Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus, wrote this open letter to Chairman Priebus in response:Dear Chairman Priebus,First of all, I commend you on appearing at CPAC to speak to the conservative activists in attendance there. It took guts to appear in front of the same conservative activists who have been repeatedly insulted and betrayed by the Republican Party under your ...

C.I.A. Is Said to Have Bought and Destroyed Iraqi Chemical Weapons

The Central Intelligence Agency, working with American troops during the occupation of Iraq, repeatedly purchased nerve-agent rockets from a secretive Iraqi seller, part of a previously undisclosed effort to ensure that old chemical weapons remaining in Iraq did not fall into the hands of terrorists or militant groups, according to current and former American officials. The extraordinary arms purchase plan, known as Operation Avarice, began in 2005 and continued into 2006, and the American military deemed it a nonproliferation success. It led to the United States’ acquiring and destroying at least 400 Borak rockets, one of the internationally condemned chemical weapons that Saddam ...

ISIS Releases Video Purportedly Showing Beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians The terrorists known as ISIS released a video on Sunday that seems to show the militant group beheading 21 Egyptian Christians kidnapped in Libya. The Egyptians, dressed in orange jump suits, were beheaded after being forced down on the ground on a beach. An early caption in the video says the location is "Wilayat Tarabulus by the Mediterranean Sea," which suggests that it was filmed near Tripoli. Each of the victims, who are all male, is paired with a masked, knife-wielding terrorist and, after a brief statement by the ISIS leader, they are all beheaded. The video is called "A Message signed with ...

Is Jeb Bush a Republican Obama? (I’m whatever a W-A-S-C would be … no longer a WASP)

The GOP may have found its own candidate for the age of fluidity represented—and accelerated—by the presidency of Barack Obama. President Obama shakes hands with Jeb Bush at Miami Central Senior High School in 2011. (Jason Reed/Reuters) Margaret Thatcher famously said that her greatest success as a politician was the rise of Tony Blair to lead a party he called New Labour: “We forced our opponents to change their minds.” As yet, Barack Obama can make no similar boast. Just the opposite: He radicalized his Republican opponents, and empowered most those who agreed with him least. With the presidential campaign of Jeb Bush, Obama can finally glimpse Thatcher-style ...

The Pat Tillman Freedom Plaza is situated just a couple hundred yards away from the entrance of the University of Phoenix Stadium, the host of this year's Super Bowl. Built by the home franchise Arizona Cardinals, the memorial features a solemn concrete slab surrounding a life-size bronze statue of its namesake, forever frozen in a warrior's roar. Patrick Daniel Tillman instantly became an icon of self-sacrificial patriotic enthusiasm when he walked away from a multi-million dollar NFL contract to join the Army Rangers in the wake of 9/11. His legend was secured when he was killed in action in April 2004. Tillman was a man possessed of exceptional bravery and a fiercely independent ...

If you follow Tom Tancredo you know he makes it clear where he stands on people, like Ryan Call (dislikes him), and places, like Mecca (bomb it). So, even as Republicans are still warm from hugging each other, it's no surprise that Tancredo is launching a new campaign to stop New Jersey Gov. Chis Christie's presidential aspirations. Tancredo doesn't like Christie, and you can't blame him. You recall Tancredo's promising path to the Colorado governor's office was upended this summer by his own party, through a vicious ad campaign orchestrated surreptitiously by the Republican Governors' ...

Former Bush Official: We Went Into Iraq Because 'We Were Looking For Somebody's Ass To Kick': Report

New York Times reporter Peter Baker is out with a new book that reportedly reveals some eyebrow-raising details about the Iraq War. A senior official from former President George W. Bush's administration is quoted in “Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House” saying American troops went into Iraq because the U.S. was looking for a fight. "The only reason we went into Iraq, I tell people now, is we were looking for somebody’s ass to kick. Afghanistan was too easy," the anonymous official said, according to Politico. Politico also reports the book details the differences in Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. The two reportedly "were on opposite ...

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., lifted his hold Monday on the nomination of James B. Comey to head the FBI after the agency sent the senator a letter in response to his concerns about domestic surveillance drones. The Senate then proceeded to approve Comey’s nomination on a 93-1 vote, with Paul the lone objector. Democratic Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden, both of Oregon, voted present. “The FBI today responded to my questions on domestic use of surveillance drones by saying that they don’t necessarily need a warrant to deploy this technology. I disagree with this interpretation,” Paul said in a statement before the vote. “However, given the fact that they did respond ...

Former U.S. president George W. Bush accidentally voted for Barack Obama today at a polling place near his Crawford, TX home. According to local reports, the two-term Republican was confused by the instructions on his electronic voting machine and mistakenly cast a ballot he intended to discard. Witnesses say Bush argued with poll workers for several minutes afterwards in a effort to redo his vote, but in accordance with state law they ultimately denied his request. The embarrassing incident may have gone unnoticed if it weren't for a local newspaper reporter who happened to be voting in the next booth. Suzanna Everett, a politics correspondent for the Waco Times witnessed the entire ...

2012 Voting Machines Altering Votes (for Romney)

My wife and I went to the voting booths this morning before work. There were 4 older ladies running the show and 3 voting booths that are similar to a science fair project in how they fold up. They had an oval VOTE logo on top center and a cartridge slot on the left that the volunteers used to start your ballot. I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted. I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney. Being a software developer, I immediately went into troubleshoot mode. I first thought the calibration was off and tried selecting Jill Stein to actually highlight Obama. Nope. Jill Stein was selected ...

On Wednesday, Kentucky senator Rand Paul issued a scathing criticism of Mitt Romney’s foreign policy speech delivered earlier in the week. In August, Paul came out in support of the Republican presidential candidate much to the dismay of his father’s supporters and others who saw him as inheriting Ron Paul’s political mantle. “Romney chose to criticize President Obama for seeking to cut a bloated Defense Department and for not being bellicose enough in the Middle East, two assertions with which I cannot agree,” Paul said. “In North Africa and the Middle East, our problem has not been a lack of intervention. In the past 10 years we have fought two full wars ...

Mitt Romney addresses veterans in Indianapolis With the Republican National Convention at last in full-throated roar, nominee Mitt Romney and his team reached out today to critical voting groups — veterans, Hispanics and women — while gleefully mocking the man he is out to defeat in November. The Republican nominee ducked out of his own convention in Tampa to tell the American Legion Convention in Indianapolis that a Romney administration would do better by a military threatened with "reckless" defence cuts and by veterans hungry for jobs. "This president's biggest failure is that he's not delivered those jobs," Romney said. "As president, I will ...

He wore the typical Paul paraphernalia and looked to be in his sixties. "I've waited 40 years for this experience." He had tears in his eyes. "Just put that I'm an unknown veteran that went through the hard times." Pressed on why he was so upset, he said: "Because this country is over if we don't pull this off." The Pentagon is conducting surprise military drills with increasing frequency around the country, alarming citizens and acclimating them to the presence of obtrusive combat technology and simulated warfare. The latest in-your-face training exercise occurred in Plainville and Worchester, Massachusetts. As usual, most citizens were unaware of the drills until helicopters swooped over their neighborhoods. “Many residents were surprised and scared Wednesday evening when military helicopters descended on the vacant Wood School into the late hours of the night in a scene that might have appeared to simulate the United States’ special forces attack on Osama bin Laden’s compound ...

Iraq failed to attract partners for most of the 12 oil and natural-gas exploration licenses offered in a two-day auction at which Asian and Russian bidders were more prominent than Western companies. The Oil Ministry awarded three blocks, two for oil and one for gas, at the auction ceremony in Baghdad. Russia’s OAO Lukoil and Inpex Corp. of Japan won a joint bid to explore for crude in southern Iraq, and Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. won rights to an eastern gas block, Abdul Mahdy Al-Ameedi, the head of the ministry’s licensing department, said today. Kuwait Energy Co. led a group awarded rights to an oil area yesterday. The licensing comes amid an energy-industry revival that has ...

US government officials have accused Ali Musa Daqduq, a Lebanese citizen, of involvement in a string of attacks, including the killing of five US soldiers on a base in the Iraqi city of Kerbala in 2007, while he was acting as the group's liaison to a shadowy Shia insurgent group, the League of Righteousness. The group was also behind the kidnapping of five British contractors including Peter Moore – who was freed while his four bodyguards were murdered. Daqduq, who had been held in US custody ...

Asked whether Syrian president Bashar al-Assad was a war criminal, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the Senate Appropriations Committee that "Based on definitions of war criminal and crimes against humanity, there would be an argument to be made that he would fit into that category," although she downplayed the idea of charging him as such, in the interest of persuading him “perhaps to step down from power.” And with maybe 7,000 Syrian civilian deaths in the past year, probably few outside of al-Assad’s power apparatus would argue strenuously with her characterization. There was a rather large elephant in that committee room, though. The Senate and the ...
