Second Monumental Arch of Titus Post Date: 2017-07-21 11:36:35 by redleghunter

Full title: Second Monumental Arch of Titus Celebrating Victory Over Jews Found in Rome Arch unearthed at the entrance of the Circus Maximus was built by Titus' brother Domitian, boasting of how the Romans had done the undoable and 'subdued the Jews'. It wasnt enough for the Romans to enslave the Jews, plunder Judea, conquer Jerusalem, destroy the Temple and then erect a massive triumphal arch to commemorate those feats of war for millennia to come: They had to build a second, even larger monument to celebrate their victory. Archaeologists in Rome have uncovered the remains of a second triumphal arch dedicated to the emperor Titus and his success in putting down the ...

He had lugged the 50 lb. bag of Milorganite into the garden in order to discover, as on many prior occasions, that he had nothing with which to open it. He blamed this on the war on terror and the TSA. As a youth he, as did every boy, had a pocket knife. Always. It was expected. There was no school rule against pocket knives. Once for a period they even all had switchblades. You could get them for 99 cents, a large amount in those days, enough to buy a case of 24 Coca-Colas. The switchblades met with school and parental disapproval as they smacked of New York gangs. But before teachers and parents came up with a policy, the boys had abandoned the switchblades. The knives had weak springs. ...
The Boston Marathon Bombing After Four Years Post Date: 2017-07-11 13:51:50 by Deckard

April 15, 2017, was the fourth anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing, a hoax event performed by crisis actors and tell-tale bright red Hollywood blood. Sheila Casey has done a good job of exposing the hoax just by using the time line and photos of the event. https://truthandshadows.wordpress.com/2013/05/08/false-flag-theatre-boston-bombing-involves-clearly-staged-carnage/ A number of agencies run training programs in which amputees working as crisis actors have a prosthesis afixed to resemble a bone as a remaining piece of a leg or arm. Casey examines the Boston event by timeline. First the crisis actors are assembled. Then the prosthesis is attached. Then the blood appears. Notice ...

Patrick K. O’Donnell: How an Elite Unit of Iron Men Saved George Washington’s Army and Changed History Post Date: 2017-07-04 15:05:08 by Hondo68

Military historian Patrick K. ODonnell, author of Washingtons Immortals: The Untold Story of an Elite Regiment Who Changed the Course of the Revolution, joined SiriusXM host Alex Marlow for a special Independence Day edition of Breitbart News Daily. Washingtons Immortals tells the story of a heroic regiment that saved the Continental Army from destruction at the Battle of Brooklyn by holding the British at bay. Despite the pivotal importance of their sacrifice, the regimental dead are buried in a mass grave with only the most minimal markings, their story largely unknown to the modern public. ODonnell said the story of the Immortal 400 came looking for him and ...

How the CIA Turned Us onto LSD and Heroin: Secrets of America's War on Drugs Post Date: 2017-06-25 12:19:00 by Deckard

"There's a huge story to be told," says Anthony Lappé, "about the actual extent of the U.S. government's involvement in drug trafficking." And that's exactly the story Lappé and his co-producers Julian Hobbs and Elli Hakami tell in a mesmerizing four-part series that debuted this week on cable TV's History Channel. Through dramatic recreations and in-depth interviews with academic researchers, historians, journalists, former federal agents, and drug dealers, America's War on Drugs (watch full episodes online here) tells true tales of how, for instance, the CIA and Department of Defense helped to introduce LSD to Americans in the 1950s. ...

George W. Bush’s Horrific Legacy Post Date: 2017-05-31 10:28:53 by Deckard

As part of the drive to drive President Trump from the White House, some never-Trumpers are rehabilitating George W. Bush as a relative moderate and thus whitewashing his war crimes, notes Lawrence Davidson. By Lawrence Davidson There is an ongoing reality that is destroying hundreds of thousands of lives in the Middle East. And though most Americans are ignorant of the fact, and many of those who should be in the know would deny it, the suffering flows directly from decisions taken by Washington over the last 27 years. Plagues, revolutions, massive wars, collapsed statesthese are what reliably reduce economic disparities Calls to make America great again hark back to a time when income inequality receded even as the economy boomed and the middle class expanded. Yet it is all too easy to forget just how deeply this newfound equality was rooted in the cataclysm of the world wars. The pressures of total war became a uniquely powerful catalyst of equalizing reform, spurring unionization, extensions of voting rights, and the creation of the welfare state. During and after wartime, aggressive government intervention in the private sector and disruptions to capital holdings wiped out upper-class wealth ...
Special Cinco de Mayo Greetings from Chicano Icon Che Guevara Post Date: 2017-05-10 13:38:49 by Tooconservative

Mexicans are mostly a rabble of illiterate indians (Che Guevara, 1955). In the historic annals of unrequited love few cases rival the affair by Chicanos with Che Guevara. I trust Ches iconization is sufficiently documented by U.S. Chicano groups in their murals (i.e. graffiti.) They seem to plaster this lily white Argentinian racists mug on practically everything they paint to celebrate their Amerindian Aztec culture. Go figure. Perhaps a word with some Bolivian Amerindians who actually experienced Che Guevaras plans to Stalinize their culture would help. In 1967 these (overwhelmingly indigenous) Bolivians (with help from U.S. Green Berets) made short ...

Warner Bros., IStock In a memo dated November 30, 1957, an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation identified as A. Jones raised an issue of critical importance: "Several complaints to the Bureau have been made concerning the 'Mad' comic book [sic], which at one time presented the horror of war to readers." Attached to the document were pages taken from a recent issue of Mad that featured a tongue-in-cheek game about draft dodging. Players who earned such status were advised to write to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover and request a membership card certifying themselves as a full-fledged draft dodger. At least three readers, the agent reported, ...

Documents reveal how Trump’s racist dad inspired Woody Guthrie’s most bitter writings Post Date: 2017-03-10 16:03:21 by Willie Green

In December 1950, Woody Guthrie signed his name to the lease of a new apartment in Brooklyn. Even now, over half a century later, that uninspiring document prompts a double-take. Below all the legal jargon is the signature of the man who had composed This Land Is Your Land, the most resounding appeal to an equal share for all in America. Below that is the signature of Donald Trumps father, Fred. No pairing could appear more unlikely. Guthries two-year tenancy in one of Fred Trumps buildings and his relationship with the real estate mogul of New Yorks outer boroughs produced some of Guthries most bitter writings, which I discovered on a recent trip ...

1854 Kansas-Nebraska Act Post Date: 2017-02-13 19:06:36 by A K A Stone

Illinois Senator Stephen Douglas, one of the architects of the Compromise of 1850, proposed to organize governments for two new territories that belonged to the Louisiana Purchase Lands, Kansas and Nebraska. His motivation had political and economical roots. He had envisioned a transcontinental railroad crossing the country west to east with Illinois, his state, as the eastern terminal. He needed the support of the south. And because the territory was above the 36Ú30 line of the 1820 Missouri Compromise, the bill would open up territory not previously available to slavery. The bill was approved and signed by President Franklin Pierce. The Kansas-Nebraska Act drew new borders ...

A war undertaken and brazenly carried for the perpetual enslavement of the colored men, calls logically and loudly for the colored men to help suppress it. Growing political tensions over the spread of slavery started a decade before the beginning of the war. As a preamble to the Civil War, between 1854 and 1861, there were a series of violent political confrontations known as Bloody Kansas or Bleeding Kansas as a result of the Kansas-Nebraska Act. The conflict arouse primarily on the subject of Kansas being accepted into the Union as a slave-free or slave state. The election of Abraham Lincoln as president in 1860 and the of Republican Partys determination to stop the ...

Who was Frederick Douglass? More importantly, why does Frederick Douglass matter to todays America? The above questions are not merely rhetorical, as the recent controversy surrounding President Trumps Black History Month statement illustrate. Frederick Douglass, Trump said, is an example of somebody whos done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more, I notice. The mainstream media have caste Trumps curious mixture of both past and present tenses whos done (past) vs. is being recognized (present) - as an incongruous construction at best, and at worst as a clueless invocation of one of ...

On August 15, 1971, President Richard M. Nixon announced his New Economic Policy, a program to create a new prosperity without war. Background Consider These Questions John Dickinson drafted the Olive Branch Petition, which was adopted by the Second Continental Congress on July 5 and submitted to King George on July 8, 1775. It was an attempt to assert the rights of the colonists while maintaining their loyalty to the British crown. King George refused to read the petition and on August 23 proclaimed that the colonists had "proceeded to open and avowed rebellion." Approved by the Continental Congress on July 5, 1775 To the King's Most Excellent Majesty. Most Gracious Sovereign, We your Majesty's faithful subjects of the colonies of New-hampshire, Massachusetts-bay, Rhode island and ...

Look at what the Lincoln Administration mass produced at the Government Printing Office at taxpayer expense. Rev. Mitchell was the man with a plan to perfect the existing colonization plans of the Lincoln administration. Mitchell had previously recruited Lincoln for the Colonization Society. Mitchell was kept onboard until removed by President Andrew Johnson. Under Lincoln, the letter was published by the General Publishing Office in 1862 as a pamphlet.
