I got a little too excited when the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) chief called Adblock Plus (ABP) "an unethical, immoral, mendacious coven of techie wannabes." I immediately wanted to know when the next coven meeting was and how many stars to sew onto my witch cape. Netflix has a lot of streaming content, but so do services like Hulu and HBO. The Pirate Bay has put them all to shame now with the combination of in-browser streaming technology combined with its usual disregard for copyright. TPB is the first major torrent tracker to support a new streaming plugin called Torrents-Time. After downloading, users can stream any video listed on the site. I've noticed some issues with the site being inaccessible recently. A check has shown the difficulty has been with the entire linode data center, as linode.com (the host for the web server for this site) has also been inaccessible. A check just now with linode shows a report by linode staff that a DOS attack has been in play against the data center, likely having nothing to do with this site. They are taking care of it, and hopefully all will be well soon. Linode has been a very reliable and high quality service, consistently, for the many years I've been with them, so this type of thing is very unusual, but they are on top of it.

Okay - this is really dumb - and kind-of embarrassing. Computers have audio jacks - right? Sure they do. They USED to be LABELED as to what they are. Right? And they still ARE labeled (sometimes) with little itsy bitsy symbols molded into the black plastic. These symbols cannot easily be read and understood - (except by blind people). So that is why - luckily - someone, about 35 years ago - came up with a color scheme for the jacks (plugs). Just suppose that I wanted to create a machine that would boot from a USB flash drive - a relatively big flash drive - 32gb to 64gb - or whatever is required. And I wanted this thing to boot either Win7 or XP. Anybody here have any experience with such an experience? FYI - I am planning to create this thing on a new Zotac 'ZBox' with a Celeron processor and 4GB of memory (which I have - the memory - not the Zbox). So what I'm basically trying to do is create a 'disk-less' computer. Shouldn't be fraught with problems - Eh? Thanks for any help / insight! ZBOX 1320-U:
