Here's to you, Mr. President: He never wavered. He never faltered. He never surrendered. Despite all the naysayers. Including a host of whiners at Newsweek. It seems so long ago. When the word president meant so much more than it does now.
Missing George W. Bush: A 'trend' -- George W. Bush T-shirts are selling well, 'a trend that will continue.' Post Date: 2010-03-15 14:02:17 by dont eat that

Imagine the delight of a retired president, roosting in Dallas where a presidential library and think tank are being erected in his name and reading the morning headline about Americans missing him. Then again, Matt Damon's Green Zone also made a debut with a graphic and dramatic reminder that the premise for going to war in Iraq was groundless (No WMD's). The Fort Worth Star-Telegram arrived with news that that billboard in Minnesota picturing a smiling George W. Bush with the question, "Miss me yet?'' isn't the only sign of 43 Nostalgia cropping up these days. T-shirts, hats, coffee mugs and other Bushaphernalia are cropping up on the Internet as well. It seems ...

Indonesia, the worlds most populous Muslim country has been in a state of near upheaval over the imminent arrival of his royal douche bag, the one and only O-whatever-his-name-is, who along with his numb skull sidekicks Nancy Mussolini Pelosi and Harry the undertaker Reid are now among the most reviled group of people ever. Yep, I guess those Muslims finally caught on. Gosh darn it! What are we going to do now that the media have been busted foisting a faux Muslim into the starring role of a Wall Street con artist and military industrial complex front man all wrapped into one. Oh, and dont forget the political correctness while youre at it. Yep, ...
Flaming Liberal Says the Economic Recovery is a Sham Post Date: 2010-03-14 16:31:37 by dont eat that

Are we finally in a recovery? Who's "we," kemosabe? Big global companies, Wall Street, and high-income Americans who hold their savings in financial instruments are clearly doing better. As to the rest of us small businesses along Main Streets, and middle and lower-income Americans forget it. Business cheerleaders naturally want to emphasize the positive. They assume the economy runs on optimism and that if average consumers think the economy is getting better, they'll empty their wallets more readily and presto! the economy will get better. The cheerleaders fail to understand that regardless of how people feel, they won't spend if they ...

By DAVID CATANESE | 3/12/10 3:00 PM EST Sen. John McCain's campaign is calling on his primary challenger to disavow the backing of an anti-illegal immigration group that the campaign says permits the use of derisive epithets sometimes used for immigrants on its website. But the North Carolina-based Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC) tells POLITICO those phrases have only appeared in a discussion board on their site and said no member of their group has ever used the offensive terms. ALIPAC organizer William Gheen said the group did not delete the term "Operation Wetback" from postings because it referred to President Dwight Eisenhower's historical effort to remove ...
Thanks To Liz Cheney's 'al-Qaeda Seven' Ad, Dick Cheney May Finally Go Away Post Date: 2010-03-13 14:15:41 by Brian S

It's true that the former vice president's daughter, perhaps hoping to supplant David Addington as "Cheney's Cheney," evoked Sen. Joe McCarthy recently when she challenged the loyalty and patriotism of nine Justice Department lawyers who had represented Guantanamo detainees before joining the department. Since then, virtually anyone who is anyone has taken a page from the same history, channeled Joseph Welch and asked Cheney, "Have you no sense of decency?" The infamous "al-Qaeda Seven" ad put out by Cheney's Keep America Safe organization has incurred the wrath not only of the usual suspects on the left, but of many members of the Bush ...

More than a year after President George W. Bush left the White House, some people are getting a little sentimental about him. Several weeks ago, a billboard popped up in Minnesota featuring a cheery picture of Bush smiling and waving, next to the phrase "Miss me yet?" Now T-shirts, hats, coffee mugs and other items featuring the same photo and phrase are selling on the Internet at a steady clip. This is a far friendlier reception than when Bush left office Jan. 20, 2009, with an approval rating of 22 percent the lowest for a president in at least 70 years. It also comes after a year of Democratic-led initiatives in Congress, including federal stimulus projects and ...

Republican leaders are prodding former Bush adviser Dan Senor to challenge Democrat Kristin Gillibrand for her New York Senate seat, the New York Times reported Thursday. Senor, an author, private equity executive, former Defense Department adviser to President George W. Bush and husband of CNN's Campbell Brown, is the latest on a list of candidates vetted by the GOP as potential New York Senate candidates. Though Rudy Giuliani, George Pataki and Mort Zuckerman didn't bite, the Times reports that Senor might seriously be considering sinking his teeth into this political endeavor. A number of Republican bigwigs are now encouraging Senor to throw his hat in the ring. Former New York ...
Highschool Dyke Constance McMillen Ruins High School Dance For Everyone Post Date: 2010-03-11 19:14:21 by A K A Stone

JACKSON, Miss. – Constance McMillen didn't believe her Mississippi school district would really call off her senior prom rather than allow her to show up with her girlfriend and wear a tuxedo.
On Thursday, a day after the Itawamba County school board did just that, the 18-year-old lesbian high school senior reluctantly returned to campus to some unfriendly looks, she said.
"Somebody said, 'Thanks for ruining my senior year.'" McMillen said.
The district announced Wednesday it wouldn't host the April 2 prom. The decision came after the American Civil Liberties Union demanded that officials change a policy banning same-sex prom dates because it violated students' rights. And the ...

Inventories shrank 111 billion cubic feet in the week ended March 5 to 1.626 trillion cubic feet, according to the Energy Department report today. Supplies were 1.2 percent above the five-year average, unchanged from last weeks report. Stockpiles typically drop this time of year as heating needs boost demand. Were going to end the heating season a little bit above the five-year average, said Tom Orr, research director at Weeden & Co., a brokerage in ...

I dont care who you are, this is funny. Hahahah, hilarious, right? Comparing African Americans to apes has long been part of dehumanizing, which suggests that people of color are less than human. And when the good ole Tennessee boy Walt Baker was first asked about the email, he dismissed any ...
