From a top level source in the House comes the news that the Democrats are still short of the 216 votes they need to pass Obamacare. They have decided, however, to go for broke on Sunday and attempt to pass it whether or not they have enough support. They feel that only by forcing a vote can the force members off the fence. They hope that by employing all means at their disposal, they can round up enough votes for passage. But, if they don't have the votes, they will allow the measure to be defeated. When you lose Howard Stern you’ve lost ordinary, everyday people. Politically, Stern is left-center to left-leaning and casually to moderately well-informed. He is done with democrats. He now sees them as communists. Many of his listeners will follow his lead.

It happened in Rhode Island, at a failing high school where all of the teachers -- including the one who hung the effigy -- had been fired as of the end of the school year. In a 222-203 vote, Democrats beat back a GOP resolution offered by Democrat-turned-Republican Rep. WASHINGTON — A federal grand jury reportedly has issued subpoenas in a probe of Sen. John Ensign of Nevada, who has been under scrutiny for his efforts to find lobbying work for the husband of his former mistress. According to one subpoena obtained by a Las Vegas television station, recipients were ordered to testify March 31 in Washington, D.C., and to turn over documents relating to the Republican senator. Not only are those numbers important for the debate, but Democratic leaders refuse to release the actual text of their changes until CBO releases the specifics of its analysis. Convergys, which has operated in the city since 2007, has a work force of 677. The company says it will begin laying off employees starting March 31 and continuing through June. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, announced Wednesday that he would vote for the Senate health care bill, becoming the most prominent House Democrat to reverse his opposition. Kucinich voted against the House bill in November and has opposed the Senate bill because it doesn't include a government-run insurance plan. Kucinich has been under enormous pressure in recent weeks to lend his support to the bill, especially from Obama, who visited the Kucinich's district on Monday.
