I have never understood airline pricing and fees and I certainly am not going to defend a crazy system of charges. But it’s no crazier then the myriad of taxes placed on an airline ticket by government. What I do know is when the government steps in and begins telling business what it can and cannot charge for, it is one more symptom of a government out of control and one more roadblock to profitability and jobs. The March report on Georgia’s unemployment rate came out and once again, a record has been broken. According to the Georgia Department of Labor, the rate rose to a record 10.6 percent. This is up from 10.5 percent in February. Last year, the March rate was 9.0. This makes 30 months in a row that Georgia’s unemployment has been higher than the national rate which is currently at 9.7 percent.

In the past Ron Paul has never been on my radar. Sure there were the anti-black/ anti-Semitic Newsletters which were published under his name (which he claimed he never read). And yes there were those really whacko public statements like; the federal reserve was behind Watergate, that Lincoln was wrong to push us into a Civil War over slavery, or his assertion that condemning the HAMAS terrorist rocket attacks promotes violence.
