(Reuters) - The former president of Blackwater Worldwide, Gary Jackson, and four other company officials were indicted on Friday for firearms violations and making false statements. Jackson, along with the defense contractor's former general counsel, Andrew Howell, and three others were charged with illegally possessing machine guns, receiving firearms that were not registered, and making false statements, according to the indictment filed in a North Carolina court. California's unemployment rate reached a new high in March, hitting 12.6%, bolstering fears that joblessness will remain a persistent problem for the foreseeable future.
