Here are nearly a dozen natural phenomena which conflict with the evolutionary idea that the universe is billions of years old. The numbers I list below in bold print (often millions of years) are maximum possible ages set by each process, not the actual ages. NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The federal pointman for the BP oil spill says results are short of ideal in the new cap but the oil will stay shut in for another 6 hours at least. Retired Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen said on a Friday afternoon conference pressure readings from the cap have not reached the level that would show there are no other leaks in the well. He said the test will go ahead for another 6-hour period before being reassessed to see if BP needs to reopen the cap and let oil spill out again.

In the runup to the Nevada GOP primary, Mason-Dixon and the Las Vegas Review-Journal understated Sharron Angle’s support by 8 points, and cut her 14 point win almost in half to 8. Now the pair releases their first post-primary poll. Are they gauging Angle’s support accurately this time? I have to question whether they are. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) holds a seven-point lead over Republican challenger Sharron Angle in a poll released Friday. The Las Vegas Review-Journal/Mason-Dixon poll shows that, if the election were held today, Reid would defeat Angle 44-37 percent. Ten percent of respondents were undecided and five percent did not choose a candidate. Reid's lead comes after a week in which he slammed the Tea Party-backed Angle in a new television ad.
