Fox Business suddenly cancels 'Lou Dobbs Tonight,' its highest-rated show

Lou Dobbs, the longtime host of the signature right-wing talk show on the Fox Business Network, was canned by the network on Friday night. "Lou Dobbs Tonight" is off the air, effective immediately, a Fox spokesperson confirmed. An interim show will take Dobbs' place at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern starting Monday. Back in the 1960s and 1970s, hippies hated both corporations and the government. To them, the government was a suspect police state while the corporations were evil capitalist tools that exploited people. Now those same hippies have grown up, and they, and their physical and intellectual progeny, have all entered the government and the corporate world. And because history is always ironic, the former hippies and their heirs have made both the government and corporations as evil as the institutions those same hippies long ago feared.

Patrick Leahy, the Vermont Democrat set to preside over the upcoming impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, was taken to a Washington hospital for evaluation Tuesday, his spokesman said. “This evening, Senator Leahy was in his Capitol office and was not feeling well,” his spokesman David Carle said in a written statement. “He was examined in the Capitol by the Attending Physician,” Carle said. “Out of an abundance of caution, the Attending Physician recommended that he be taken to a local hospital for observation, where he is now, and where he is being evaluated.”

As you'll recall, leftists rioted in Seattle for months last year. Rioters attacked cops, set fires and vandalized nearly everything in their path. They even took over a neighborhood and declared it to be an "autonomous zone." In response to months of anarchy, Seattle Police came under fire for treating the protesters too rough and Democrats called to defund the police. Seattle's police chief resigned and Mayor Jenny Durkan announced she would not seek a second term. Good riddance Durkan, to you and your "summer of love."
