Kenyan McTarball's Approval Rating Falls to 27%

Oklahomans don't like President Barack Obama. A lot. Obama's Oklahoma Poll approval rating fell to 27 percent in July, the lowest for any elected official in the 17-year history of the survey. The previous low for an elected official was former Gov. David Walters' 33 percent in both 1993 and 1994. The previous low for a president was Obama's 36 percent in January of this year. Before that, it was President Bill Clinton's 37 percent at the end of 1994. Reasons for the state's discontent with the current chief executive range from the state of the economy to the belief that he's planning to turn the country over to "his Muslim brothers." The ...

Kenyan McTarball Admits He's A Failure

Obama has once again admitted he sucks. . . well, sort of. While having lunch with some of his fellow Democrats he told them he'd be willing to help them earn re-elections in November, even if that meant staying away from their campaigns. This, in my opinion, is an admission that he knows he is unpopular with the people, and that he is running this country in a manner contrary to the opinion of the populace. “You may not even want me to come to your district,” Obama said. This means Obama will try to help them from afar, but due to his great unpopularity, he will not be arriving in their districts to make speeches. The New York Times says that this is a real shift. He has ...

TRENDING: RNC cancels Breitbart fundraiser Washington (CNN) – The Republican National Committee has cancelled a fundraiser with conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who is under fire for promoting an edited video that falsely portrays former Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod as having boasted about discriminating against a white farmer looking for her assistance. Breitbart was scheduled to appear with RNC Chairman Michael Steele at a reception later this month in Beverly Hills. “We are working on scheduling and we fully plan to have another event scheduled soon based on our existing trips to California,” an RNC spokesman said in a statement sent to CNN. ...

Lemmings March To The Sea; DeMarxist Two-Step.

Despite all the storm warnings, the red flags, the flashing lights and sirens and portents of doom, the Democrat march to November continues unabated. They can’t help themselves. They are what they are. They have shown their true colors again and again, and the American people have decided, “enough!” We didn’t need the politicians of either side to tell us that what the DeMarxists were doing, under the dubious leadership of their poster child Barack Hussein Obama, wasn’t healthy for man, woman, child or fuzzy little animals. We reacted with the largest Patriotic outcry since the revolutionary war. People weren’t just angry at the now obvious lies, deceit and ...

CNN, MSNBC Finally Admit Breitbart Was Right After nearly two weeks straight of non-stop character assassination against Andrew Breitbart for correctly identifying Shirley Sherrod as a recovering bigot (who the NAACP rooted for when she admitted to discriminating against white people), our partisan left-wing "news media" are finally putting down their torches and pitchforks long enough to actually consider the truth. CNN's Anderson CooperChris Matthews and even Salon's obnoxiously brain-dead DNC propagandist Joan Walsh have all now come out and admitted that Breitbart clearly included Sherrod's explanation that she now cares more about class warfare than race in his ...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former Vice President Dick Cheney is still in the hospital after heart surgery in early July. Daughter Liz Cheney says her 69-year-old dad is out of intensive care and hopes to return home this week. She tells "Fox News Sunday" that he's already planning trips for fly fishing and hunting later this year. Dick Cheney has had five heart attacks since he was 37. In his recent surgery at a northern Virginia hospital, Cheney had a small pump installed to help his heart work. After the operation, Cheney said in a statement that he was entering a new phase of treatment for what he called "increasing congestive heart failure."

Florida Church’s ‘Burn A Koran Day’ Brings Islamist Threats

The controversy over the construction of a mosque near Ground Zero in Manhattan has sparked a wave of anti-Muslim activism among some conservative and religious groups, and nowhere is that more in evidence than in a non-denominational church's plan to hold a "Burn a Koran Day" on the next anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.Muslim advocacy groups and evangelical Christian organizations alike have condemned the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, for its plans to commemorate the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a day for burning Islam's holy book. And at least one jihadist organization has promised revenge if the event goes ahead as planned."On ...

Palin blames media for unfavorable rating Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blames her upside-down approval rating among independents on one of her favorite foils: the media. Palin, who serves as a paid commentator for Fox News, said on "Fox News Sunday" that "if I believed everything I read or heard in the media, I wouldn't like me either." Fox host Chris Wallace cited recent polling numbers from Quinnipiac University that showed 50 percent of independents viewed the former vice presidential GOP nominee in an unfavorable light. Just a third said they viewed her favorably. "I've never committed to running for president for one and I know that polls are ...

Mullen says US has Iran strike plan, just in case

WASHINGTON – The chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff says the U.S. military has a plan to attack Iran, although he thinks a strike is probably a bad idea. Adm. Mike Mullen, the nation's highest-ranking military officer, has often warned that a military strike on Iran would have serious and unpredictable ripple effects around the Middle East. At the same time, he says the risk of Iran developing a nuclear weapon is unacceptable. Mullen would not say which risk he thinks is worse. But he tells NBC's "Meet The Press" that a military strike remains an option if need be. And he says that, should it come to that, the military has a plan at hand. He didn't ...

WASHINGTON (AP) — A second House Democrat, Rep. Maxine Waters of California, could face an ethics trial this fall, further complicating the election outlook for the party as it battles to retain its majority. People familiar with the investigation, who were not authorized to be quoted about charges before they are made public, say the allegations could be announced next week. The House ethics committee declined Friday to make any public statement on the matter. Waters, 71, has been under investigation for a possible conflict of interest involving a bank that was seeking federal aid. Her husband owned stock in the bank and had served on its board. BATTLE CREEK, Michigan (AP) — Officials investigating the cause of a huge oil spill along a major river in southern Michigan say it will take months to clean up the mess, and damage to wetlands and wildlife may last considerably longer. Enbridge Inc., the Canadian owner of the ruptured pipeline that released the crude into the Kalamazoo River, says the spill is contained. Gov. Jennifer Granholm said after a helicopter inspection of the stricken area Friday that the company's handling of the problem had improved since she gave it poor reviews earlier this week. Nebraska Democrat Ben Nelson announced late Friday he would vote against the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan. In a statement released this evening, Sen. Nelson said, "I have heard concerns from Nebraskans regarding Ms. Kagan, and her lack of a judicial record makes it difficult for me to discount the concerns raised by Nebraskans, or to reach a level of comfort that these concerns are unfounded. Therefore, I will not vote to confirm Ms. Kagan’s nomination." Nelson is the only Democrat to oppose Kagan at this point. Five Republicans, on the other hand, have said they will support Kagan's nomination, giving her more than enough votes to win confirmation. ...

America’s hero has more guts than all the Feds combined… and that includes MaoBama and the Marxist clown college, and you can throw his lame rear-ended administration into that mix for good measure. Joe Arpaio put an exclamation point to Arizona’s defiance of the Feds’ blatant abrogation of the Constitution and the state’s individual right to defend its citizens. Illegals were bussed in from as far as Texas and California to demonstrate for non-existent ‘rights’ in our country. I guess La Raza couldn’t find enough local illegals to rabble rouse. Forever FUBAR! or, Patriotic thoughts on Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday the 22nd, I had the telescreen in the front room tuned to one of the news channels as I puttered around in the kitchen, dividing my attention between coffee-making and the latest grim tidings of the world's Great Grinding Badness. It was commencement morning at West Point, and while the reporters impatiently awaited the arrival of Emperor Barack, they filled the time with uplifting progressive-nationalistic chatter. I ignored most of it, but then one of them said something that surprised me a little but also made me happy: viz., that women made up 50 percent of this year's graduating class. At least, I ...

Obama pushes for Rangel exit President Barack Obama is sending a strong signal to ethics-embattled Harlem Rep. Charles Rangel, telling CBS news that the time has come for tjhe 80-year-old dean of New York’s congressional delegation to end his career “with dignity.” But a person close to the Rangel tells POLITICO the embattled Democrat “doesn’t give a damn about what the president thinks about this” and won’t step down. After days of administration officials dodging questions about Rangel, Obama took ...

NEW YORK (AP) -- The nation's leading Jewish civil rights group has come out against the planned mosque and Islamic community center near ground zero, saying more information is needed about funding for the project and the location is "counterproductive to the healing process." The Anti-Defamation League said it rejects any opposition to the center based on bigotry and acknowledged that the group behind the plan, the Cordoba Initiative, has the legal right to build at the site. But the ADL said "some legitimate questions have been raised" about funding and possible ties with "groups whose ideologies stand in contradiction to our shared values." ...

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Former Vice President Al Gore won't be prosecuted over allegations by a masseuse that he groped and assaulted her in his Portland hotel room in 2006, the county prosecutor said Friday. District Attorney Michael Schrunk said the case has numerous problems and isn't appropriate for a criminal prosecution. Among the difficulties that Schrunk cited: Although the red-haired masseuse said she was terrified of Gore, she also said she called him after their encounter and told him to "dream of redheaded women." Schrunk also said the woman - Molly Hagerty - told the hotel she appreciated the business referrals it had given her, and didn't mention any ...

Alaska (Reuters) - All four crew members were killed in a U.S. Air Force cargo plane that crashed in flames while practicing for an aviation show at Elmendorf Air Force Base, the Air Force said Thursday. The C-17 Globemaster went down Wednesday evening in a wooded area near an airfield in Anchorage shortly after taking off, the military said. The accident is believed to be the first crash of a C-17, manufactured by Boeing, since the massive jet joined the Air Force fleet in 1995 as its newest cargo plane. "We are confirming four dead," said Lieutenant-Colonel Karen Platt, an Air Force spokeswoman. A fireball and plume of smoke over the area were visible to nearby residents ...

After Revisions, Real GDP And PCE Even Farther From Previous Peak*

[*Estimates changed for quarters till peak.] These two graphs show the revisions for real GDP and PCE. The recession was clearly worse than originally estimated (we suspected this already using Gross Domestic Income). In fact real GDP in Q2 2010 was lower than originally reported for Q1 2010. And annualized real GDP is still 0.85% below the pre-recession peak. This means that real GDP would have to grow at a 3.4% rate in Q3 to reach the recession peak by the end of Q2 2011. A Democratic congressional candidate has told police he was assaulted near downtown Spokane after making sexual advances to another man. David R. Fox, who moved to Spokane from Port Angeles recently to run against Republican U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, told police he wasn't injured in Sunday's altercation. But he is pressing charges against the man. Fox is one of four Democrats in the Aug. 17 primary. The attorney entered the race at the last minute and has no known campaign office or website. He could not be reached for comment. Fox has come to the attention of law enforcement several times in the past year in Clallam County and Spokane.

That was soon to change, as shortly afterward we received a comment from a reader regarding yesterday’s article (‘Meg Whitman: The Next Arnold In Waiting‘), which covered Whitman’s opposition to SB1070. Call me old-fashioned if you wish, but I find the use of foul language unsavory to say the least. This is a political disaster for Democrats. There’s no way to spin a 2.4% GDP rate as a positive step in a recovery. Worse yet, the pattern has been to revise these numbers downwards when Commerce firms up its data. The next statement of Q2 GDP will come on August 27, just before Congress comes back in session and right at the prime time of summer campaign season, just a week before Labor Day. If this drops much lower in the next iteration, Democrats will have to explain the failure of their economic program to angry voters across the nation — and they’re not going to want to hear “It’s Bush’s fault!” two years after electing Obama and four years after ...
