Madison Police Chief Asks Walker To Explain ‘Troubling’ Comments Post Date: 2011-02-24 15:46:33 by Brian S

Police chief Noble Wray of Madison, Wisconsin on Thursday asked Republican Gov. Scott Walker to explain "very unsettling and troubling" comments made in what he thought was a private phone call. Pranked by a gonzo journalist pretending to be conservative billionaire David Koch, Walker said on the 20-minute call that his administration considered planting "troublemakers" in the crowd of demonstrators opposing his budget, which curtails the collective bargaining rights of public employees. "I spent a good deal of time overnight thinking about Governor Walker's response, during his news conference yesterday, to the suggestion that his administration 'thought ...
Scott Walker… Wisconsin Governor – Keeping His Election Promises Post Date: 2011-02-24 15:39:14 by no gnu taxes

One of the craziest things I have heard floated by the Left is that Governor Walkers initiatives are a surprise
that somehow he duped the voters into voting for him and that he is somehow now undertaking policies that run counter to what voters expected. This is not so in the least. It is a sad attempt to discredit Wisconsin voters. It is a canard designed to undercut the validity of the election in November. The piggies on the Left never tire of floating lies
even when the truth is so very obvious to anyone armed with a search engine. Governor-elect Walker campaigned for 18 months on controlling state spending, part of which is bringing public sector benefits in line ...
Goldman Sachs: House Spending Cuts Will Hurt Economic Growth Post Date: 2011-02-24 15:34:52 by go65

A confidential new report prepared by Goldman Sachs for its clients says spending cuts passed by the House of Representatives last week would be a drag on the economy, cutting economic growth by about two percent of GDP. Under the House passed spending bill [which cut spending by $61 billion], says the report, which was obtained by ABC News, the drag on GDP growth from federal fiscal policy would increase by 1.5pp to 2pp in Q2 and Q3 compared with current law. The report, which is signed by Goldman economist Alec Phillips, goes on to predict that the House- passed bill is unlikely to become law because it wont pass the Senate and, in any case, the president ...
Democrats Silent on Gas Prices Unlike the Bush Years Post Date: 2011-02-24 15:26:35 by no gnu taxes

Heard on the radio this morning that analysts are expecting $4/gallon gasoline by summer and $5/gallon by 2012. Back in 06, 07 and 08 there was a lot of public outcry and political pressure on President Bush to do something. Its curious to me why no one seems to care about high gasoline prices like they did 5 years ago. I suppose that people have simply gotten used to paying $3/gallon. Why, just last month Ford sold more of their gas guzzling Explorer vehicles than ever before. I wonder how people will react to $5/gallon gas. I know I wont be happy. The Democrats were quick to blame Bush over high prices. Im not hearing any Democrats have as much concern ...
Hold Obama Accountable for High Gas Prices Post Date: 2011-02-24 13:50:52 by no gnu taxes

Whereas someone like me always cares about keeping the price of gas low so that our economy can boom and so that poor people can get to work, many only care about high gas prices when a Republican is in charge. Through the beauty of custom search tools on google, you can now time-travel back and see how journalists and bloggers and politicians in the past reacted to certain events and then compare their reactions to events of the present day. You can expose them then as hypocrites and opportunists, who only care about a subject when it suits their interests, and who seize on bad information merely to move their political agenda. Let's compare the reaction of the liberal elites in the ...

When Saddam Hussein's tank battalions brutally invaded Kuwait in 1992, the United States was able to knock Saddam's Air Force out of the sky in a matter of days. In the subsequent tank battles the United States ruled the air. After kicking Saddam out of Kuwait we maintained a no-fly zone over half of Iraq for the next six years, thereby stabilizing the Gulf on both sides. Where the USAF and USN ruled the skies Saddam could not launch a single plane or missile. The world's oil supply was protected, allowing European leftists to drive their cars at reasonable gas prices to noisy demonstrations to scream and rage at us, all because Uncle Sam was the good cop and kept them free.

Obama cares nothing for this country, the extent of his concern is where he will take his next vacation or which golf course he will tee off on. Our country is in the middle of the worst economic downturn since the great depression: * Unemployment over 10%(perhaps as high as 17%). * Rising inflation. * Record debt and deficits. Since taking office Obamas foreign policy has consisted of: * Apologizing to our enemies and dictators around the world for American aggression. * Embracing our enemies. * Giving lip service to our allies. * Turning his back on Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East. As far as domestic policy is concerned, Obama has been and is a ...

Things are about to get real bad for Hopenchange. For a community organizer who sold himself to be a savior, he is about to enter very dark times. And he will not enter the abyss alone. Obama will take a good part of the Democrat party down with him. The last election will look like an ACORN meeting after extorting a bank and buying Cadillacs come November 2012. Gas prices are going to skyrocket like never before. The radical Islam movement that is about to overtake the Middle East will reduce the flow of oil to America to a trickle. Obama and his disgraceful EPA have illegally shut down off shore drilling in Louisiana and those platforms are now in Brazil and other parts. They wont ...
Oil At $101 A Barrel. What's Obama And Reid Doing About It? Post Date: 2011-02-24 13:36:42 by no gnu taxes

Oil is now over $101 a barrel and gas prices are going to go up and up and up. $4 a gallon of gas soon, hurting the poor and middle class the hardest. Las Vegas is going to be hurt terribly, all at a time when the economy needs to improve. So, what is Obama's solution to the problem? Green energy, send in union thugs to make sure taxes go even higher and then nothing. Reid's: Outlaw prostitution. Can't wait for 2012. The American people will realize what a mistake the 2008 elections were and in 2012, the conservatives, not RINOs, will be swept into office.

President Obama established a bipartisan debt-reduction commission -- and then ignored its findings, which called for unpopular reductions in entitlements and across-the-board spending cuts. His first two budgets led to the largest deficits in U.S. history. The ensuing $3 trillion dollars in red ink prompted the tea party movement and led to the largest midterm defeat of the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives since 1938. No matter. The president has proposed a new budget with an even larger, $1.6 trillion deficit. That record federal borrowing prompted columnist Charles Krauthammer to describe it as Louis XV indulgence, an allusion to the wild royal spending that brought ...

California To See $4 A Gallon For Gas; Obama Must Be Happy Post Date: 2011-02-24 13:29:12 by no gnu taxes

Remember predictions just last week that gas prices in California could top $4 a gallon before Memorial Day? Bank on it, and possibly within a few weeks. -- The uprising in Libya unleashed the specter of record-setting prices in the state Wednesday, fueled by crude oil touching the benchmark of $100 per barrel for the first time since 2008. Investors and speculators didnt get too excited with unrest in Tunisia, Egypt and Bahrain, said Tom Robinson, president of Robinson Oil of San Jose. But Libya has really spooked them. Robinson, whose company owns the Rotten Robbie gas stations, said spot market prices for unleaded gas in the Bay Area jumped 10 cents ...

The U.S. army reportedly deployed a specialized "psychological operations" team to help convince American legislators to boost funding and troop numbers for the war in Afghanistan. Lt. Gen. William Caldwell, a three-star general in charge of training Afghan troops, ordered the operation, Rolling Stone Magazine reported in a story published late on Wednesday. An officer in charge of the unit objected when he was ordered to pressure the visiting senators and was harshly reprimanded by superiors, according to the magazine. "My job in psy-ops is to play with people's heads, to get the enemy to behave the way we want them to behave," the officer, Lt. Colonel Michael ...
10 Things You Need to Know About High Gas Prices and Obama’s Oil Policy Post Date: 2011-02-24 12:10:20 by no gnu taxes

This week the medias attention is finally focused on oil prices. After two years of continually rising consumer gas prices in America, the oil futures market has captivated the Mideast storyline. And attention is much needed. December 2010 saw the highest gas prices for the month of December in our nations history. This month, were setting similar records with the national average of $3.14/gallonfifty cents higher than it was a year ago. If this trend continues, the summer of 2011 will hit consumers much harder than in the summer of 2008 when prices soared above $4/gallon. But if you only read, hear or see this weeks news reports, you would think that oil and ...

Bush, the Justice Department said Thursday. FBI agents arrested Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, who was admitted into the United States in 2008 on a student visa, in Texas on Wednesday. The Justice Department accuses him of purchasing chemicals and equipment to make an improvised explosive device. Aldawsari, a student at South Plains College near Lubbock, allegedly referred to Bush's Dallas home as "tyrant's house" and possibly contemplated using dolls to conceal the explosives, the statement said. He is due to ...

Trump spoke at the beginning of the video about a Newsweek/Daily Beast poll released on Tuesday. The poll showed Trump only two percent behind Obama in a hypothetical match-up. By comparison, Sarah Palin trailed Obama by eleven percent, Mitt Romney by two percent, and Mike Huckabee tied with Obama. The poll came out, and were in a virtual tie and I havent campaigned, Trump said in the video. Im not really, despite that, that surprised, because ...

CHICAGO Membership in anti-government extremist groups continues to explode in the United States amid frustration over the lagging economy and the "mainstreaming of conspiracy theories," a study released Wednesday found. After nearly tripling in 2009 in the wake of the election of the nation's first black president, anti-government 'patriot' groups and militias grew another 61 percent in 2010 to 824, the report by the Southern Poverty Law Center found. Meanwhile, the number of active hate groups rose 7.5 percent to top 1,000 for the first time since the civil rights group first began tracking them in the early 1980s. Combined with modest growth among ...

Socialism (and Communism) is the government taking from one person and giving it to another. Alaska is merely taking revenues derived from people owned resources and distributing it back to the people with the government having no say in who gets what; it's distributed equally without regard to so called "need." The oil is not State owned. It is people owned. They are simply giving the residents back the money that the oil companies paid to drill on their lands. Being a resident means they own a piece of that land so if money is made off of it they should have a right to it. I know you fucking moron socialists who think everything is State owned won't get this, but ...
