Union communist goons bussed in In lengthy interviews with a conservative magazine, the billionaire Koch brothers mounted an aggressive defense of their business and political interests, describing their liberal critics as “very, very extreme” and “very dangerous” and President Barack Obama as a “radical” with “Marxist” ideas whose success is owed largely to his “silver tongue.”Obama is “the most radical president we’ve ever had as a nation … and has done more damage to the free enterprise system and long-term prosperity than any president we’ve ever had,” David Koch is quoted saying in a story posted late Friday on ...

Charges dropped against boy,11, as 'shoplift' mom rants atManhattan court appearance Grand larceny charges have been dropped against an 11-year-old boy whose mother would allegedly take him to stores and direct him to shoplift --- and the kid has now been placed to live with his grandmother, The Post has learned. Meanwhile, the mom hollered wildly at news photographers today during a routine trip to a Manhattan courthouse. "Next time, I'm coming back here with a thousand Muslims and kick your ass!" Carolyn Taylor railed at a pair of lensmen as she stormed down a hallway of Manhattan Criminal Court, having just learned prosecutors have yet to convene a grand jury in ...

An asshole cop conducting what should be a constitutionally illegal traffic checkpoint stops a guy and shines his pig light into the guys car. He notices several large knives and bellows through his donut enlarged frame, "just what the hell do we have here"? The man tells him that he is a juggler and that those are his props, and he is traveling to his next show. The rotund porker in blue then tells him, "Oh yeah, well you better prove it or you're going to jail. Juggle those knives, boy." The man gets out and proceeds to juggle his knives. The guy in the next car in line comments, "Man, I'm glad I don't drink anymore. Those tests they make you do ...

Obama = Bush and Clinton at the Same Time

I think I have figured out the new formula in presidential politics. The current president is essentially as bad as the last two combined. We might call this the "Presidential Fibonacci Sequence." Bush II was every bit as bad as his father, with the addition of Clinton mixed in. Life under Clinton was like living under Bush I and Reagan simultaneously. Bush the First was so horrible he was like Reagan and Carter were ganging up on American liberty. Maybe this is a flawed formula, but it does seem to hold in the current case. Let us consider the evidence. Obama is doing everything that his immediate predecessor did: Subsidizing the bubble economy, ratcheting up the regulatory ...

Indiana prosecutor resigns after suggesting Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker stage fake attack against himself 5:42 PM, Mar. 24, 2011 | An Indiana deputy prosecutor and Republican activist resigned Thursday after the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism published an email in which he suggested faking an attack on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. Carlos F. Lam submitted his resignation shortly after the Center published a story quoting his Feb. 19 email, which praised Walker but went on to say that the situation in Wisconsin presented “a good opportunity for what’s called a ‘false flag’ operation.” “If you could employ an associate who pretends to be ...

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Target Corp. is suing a San Diego pro-gay marriage group to get it to stop canvassing outside its San Diego County stores, alleging its activists are driving away customers. Rights advocates say the trial between Target and Canvass For A Cause that begins Friday could further strain relations with the gay and lesbian community after controversy over its $150,000 donation to a business group backing a Minnesota Republican candidate opposed to gay marriage. Minnesota-based Target insists it remains committed to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and its lawsuit has nothing to do with the political agenda of the organization. "Our legal action was in ...

WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Barack Obama had to try a couple of doors at the White House before finally gaining access to the Oval Office on Wednesday. Returning from a five-day trip to Latin America, video shows the president strolling up to french doors at the White House and trying the handle on a locked door. He appeared to be whistling as he made his way down to another set of doors that were open. White House staff was apparently not informed that the President was coming back to work before his arrival. You can watch the video above. If Donald Trump's goal is to differentiate himself from those jelly-kneed Republican candidates too timid to ask even the most basic questions about President Barack Obama's origins, he is doing a bang-up job of it. Wednesday morning on The View, Trump refused to buckle under the hectoring protests of the View panelists and even Whoopi Goldberg's shameless race baiting. "I want [Obama] to show his birth certificate!" said Trump defiantly, adding with a knowing edge, "There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like." Here, Trump made precisely the right point. It is not that Obama was born in Kenya, but rather that there may very ...

Rep. Anthony Weiner said Wednesday he was looking into how a health law waiver might work for New York City. Weiner, who is likely to run for mayor of New York, said that because of the city’s special health care infrastructure, his office was looking into alternatives that might make more sense. Weiner is one of the health care law’s biggest supporters; during the debate leading up to reform, he was one of the last holdouts in Congress for the public option. “The president said, ‘If you have better ideas that can accomplish the same thing, go for it,’” said Weiner. “I’m in the process now of trying to see if we can take [President Barack Obama] up ...

DALLAS (AP/CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant found himself at the wrong end of the law for not properly covering his hind end Saturday. Bryant and three of his friends were ejected from the NorthPark shopping center Saturday after a dispute between Bryant and two off-duty officers over the men sagging their pants below their hips, exposing their underwear. A Tuesday police statement says officers working off-duty Saturday as security at NorthPark encountered Bryant and three companions wearing the drooping pants. When the officers asked the four to pull up their trousers, Bryant launched into a profanity-laced tirade. According to the statement, when confronted, ...

Detroit's Population Crashes

The flight of middle-class African-Americans to the suburbs fueled an exodus that cut Detroit's population 25% in the past decade to 713,777, according to Census Bureau data released Tuesday. That's the city's lowest population level since the 1910 census, when automobile mass production was making Detroit Detroit. The decline, the fastest in city history, shocked local officials, who had expected a number closer to 800,000. Mayor Dave Bing said the city would seek a recount. "If we could go out and identify another 40,000 people that were missed, and it brings us over the threshold of 750,000, that would make a difference from what we can get from the federal and state ...

Abe Mashal, a 31-year-old dog trainer from St. Charles, says FBI agents told him he ended up on the government’s no-fly list because he exchanged e-mails with a Muslim cleric they were monitoring. The topic: How to raise his children in an interfaith household. Mashal said he has never had any links to terror or terrorists and is a “patriotic,” honorably discharged Marine Corps veteran. He found out he’d been flagged last April, when he tried to board a flight to Spokane, Wash., to train dogs for a client. Since then, his family members and friends have been questioned, and he said he has lost business because he isn’t allowed to fly. Mashal is one of 17 ...

South of El Paso, Texas, on Mexico’s side of the border, lies Juarez – the most dangerous city in the world. CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reports ATF Special Agent Rene Jaquez has been stationed there for the past year, trying to keep U.S. guns from being trafficked into Mexico. “That’s what we do as an agency,” Jaquez said. “ATF’s primary mission is to make sure that we curtail gun trafficking.” That’s why Jaquez tells CBS News he was so alarmed to hear his own agency may have done the opposite: encouraged U.S. gun dealers to sell to suspected traffickers for Mexico’s drug cartels. Apparently, ATF hoped that ...

British cleric Anjem Choudary says al-Qaida and the Muslim Brotherhood have assets on the ground in Libya and are ready to take control if Moammar Gadhafi is removed from power. The top Muslim cleric accuses the U. S. and French-led coalition trying to topple Gadhafi of working to install a puppet regime, but he says there are al-Qaida operatives in Libya who will stop the West from installing a friendly government. "Al-Qaida has their own agents and their own people in the region who are propagating their own Islamic ideas and their agenda. At the right time they will make the move, and we will see the emergence of Islam and Shariah in that particular region," Choudary said. ...

The F-35: A Weapon That Costs More Than Australia

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is an impressive aircraft: a fifth generation multirole fighter plane with stealth technology. It's also a symbol of everything that's wrong with defense spending in America. In a rational world, U.S. military expenditure would focus on the likely threats that the United States faces today and in the future. And at a time of mounting national debt, the Tea Party would be knocking down the Pentagon's door to cut waste. But the only tea party in sight is the one overseen by the Mad Hatter, as we head down the rabbit hole into the military industrial wonderland. The F-35 is designed to be the core tactical fighter aircraft for the U.S. ...

The fun part is where Microsoft says Barnes and Noble violated its patent portfolio with its Google (GOOG) Android OS: Technologies that enable natural user interaction are key to the success of mobile devices. o People ...

Kirk, William Shatner has cemented himself into geek science fiction lore forever. Today he begins his ninth decade on this planet — yes, Captain Kirk is now 80 years old. William Shatner has starred in numerous television & movie productions besides Star Trek, including winning Emmy awards and a Golden Globe for his work on Boston Legal and The Practice. U.S. President Barack Obama said Saturday the "Odyssey Dawn" operation launched under a UN Security Council resolution was a "limited military action," unlike the regime change aims of the war against Iraqi president Saddam Hussein. Justice Department details legal blessing of warrantless wiretapping in 2004 The Justice Department has released portions of a detailed legal analysis from 2004 of President George W. Bush's warrantless wiretapping program--an opinion which concluded that a law Congress passed restricting surveillance in the U.S. was unconstitutional if it barred Bush's program. At its core, the 74-page opinion by Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel chief Jack Goldsmith (viewable here) makes two legal arguments--both highly controversial. First, that the Authorization for the Use of Military Force passed by Congress in 2001 implicitly authorized surveillance like that under the warrantless ...
