Barnie the Faggot Admits Getting Job for Perv Who Gave him a BJ Post Date: 2011-05-26 10:27:48 by A K A Stone

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank admitted he helped his ex-lover land a lucrative post with Fannie Mae in the early 1990s while the Newton Democrat was on a committee that regulated the lending giant but he called questions of a potential ethical conflict nonsense. If it is (a conflict of interest), then much of Washington is involved (in conflicts), Frank told the Herald last night. It is a common thing in Washington for members of Congress to have spouses work for the federal government. There is no rule against it at all. Frank said he helped his former longtime companion, Herb Moses, land a job at Fannie Mae in 1991 after Moses graduated with a ...
Palin 48.5%, Obama 48% in Ohio (Palin 51-49% W/ Assumptions) Post Date: 2011-05-26 09:54:05 by no gnu taxes

Public Policy Pollings magic is back to work again. A new Ohio poll, featuring an important swing state that Obama narrowly won in 2008, is up this week. Like most other PPP polls, Democrats are the overwhelming respondents in this poll. How bad? Lets take a look: The PPP poll had a respondent makeup of 45% Democrat, 35% Republican, 20 Independent, giving the Democrats a +10 Net Advantage over Republicans. In 2010, the Ohio turnout was 36% Republican, 36% Democrat, 28% Independent. So, no difference. The 45% Democrat sample even overdoes Democrat heavy 2008 by 6 points, where still only 39% of the Ohio electorate were Democrats. Its a near impossibility that 45% of the 2010 voting ...

Liberal Woman Begins to Understand What Assholes Liberals are After Ed Schultz Moment Post Date: 2011-05-26 09:40:43 by no gnu taxes

The reality is that progressives have totally turned me off with sexism. It's rampant. The use of the word is merely an extension of the attitudes that have been dominating that bloc for quite a while. I've pointed out numerous times the sexist nature of comments against women who don't happen to agree politically with the group. Are they criticized on the ideas? No, it's nearly always a personal attack, and there's no-holds barred if the criticism is gender-related. So to me, his remark was a "bound to happen" moment. That's the true attitude of progressives toward women. And liberal women? If you think for a minute that you're ...

The U.S. Senate has shot down a plan by Bowling Green Republican Rand Paul to balance the federal budget within the next five years. The resolution failed by a vote of 7-90. Obama budget receives zero votes in Senate (what a loser) Post Date: 2011-05-25 20:26:06 by no gnu taxes

No senators voted for President Obama's 2012 budget when it came up for a vote in the Senate Wednesday. A procedural vote to move forward on the president's plan failed 0-97. Just minutes earlier, the Senate failed to advance Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-Wis.) budget plan by a vote of 40-57 as five Republicans voted against their party. Democrats sought to put Republicans on the defensive over the Ryan budget, which they have described as extreme. But Republicans, who demanded a vote on Obama's plan, sought to flip the script after the later vote. "The Senate just voted unanimously against proceeding to the presidents budget. Thats right, unanimous opposition to ...
Bet You Didn't Know -- Dove Soap Can Turn an Ugly Black Woman Into a Beautiful White Woman Post Date: 2011-05-25 19:31:21 by no gnu taxes

Soap giant Dove has landed itself in hot water after an advert for one of its products appeared to suggest it can change a user's skin colour. The promotion, for Dove VisibleCare Creme Body Wash - a £2.69 product that is available in Boots - features a 'before' and 'after' skin chart behind a black woman, possibly a Latina and a blonde - all wrapped in towels - standing beside each other. The caption reads: 'Visibly more beautiful skin from the most unexpected of places - your shower.' But critics are in a lather over the ad, accusing Dove of implied - and albeit unintentional - racism. Under the headline 'Dove body wash turns black women into ...

Judge: Loughner not competent to stand trial Post Date: 2011-05-25 17:57:07 by Ferret Mike

TUCSON - A federal judge ruled Wednesday that Jared Loughner is not competent to stand trial in the Jan. 8 shooting spree that left six people dead and severely wounded U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz. Judge Larry Burns issued his ruling moments after U.S. Marshals dragged Loughner out of the courtroom because of an angry outburst. As survivors of the deadly January attack looked on, Loughner had lowered his head, raised it and said what sounded like "Thank you for the freak show. She died in front of me." His words were loud but mumbled, and it wasn't clear who he was talking about. Loughner will be hospitalized in a facility in Springfield, Mo., to receive treatment. ...

While Americas flyover country was being ravaged by tornadoes, the President was yucking it up overseas. Apparently, he finally found something he and the Brits can agree on drinking expensive wine! Im not sure if the awkward moment came before or after too much vino. When the president toasted the Queen the orchestra misunderstood a pause and what seemed to be a cue from the president for God Save the Queen to begin playing. Ladies and gentlemen please stand with me and raise your glasses as I propose a toast, the president said, putting down his note cards and grabbing his glass. To her majesty the Queen. Hows this for a humanitarian war? I usually don't write much about politics on this blog since it's covered everywhere else, but I just had to post about what an asshole Obama is with the latest killings in his so called humanitarian war. Talk about disgusting so many after his little comedy central performance last night, Obama's responsible for the murder of little children in attempting to take out Gadhafi. "Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi survived a NATO air strike on a Tripoli house that killed his youngest son and three young grandchildren, a government spokesman said on Sunday." - MSNBC.com Sure, it's a tough world out there, but it's clear these people ...

President Obama has been on a weeklong trip to Europe, ahead of the G8 meeting. In 2008, Obama The Messiah spoke to throngs in Berlin. In 2011, Obama The Mortal showed up in Dublin and London. Some of my favorite highlights from the Bama's trip so far: His presidential limo, nicknamed "The Beast," got stuck on a ramp in Dublin. It's supposed to withstand a terrorist or nuclear attack, but an exit ramp? Not so much. If Bush's limo had bottomed out while abroad, David Letterman would have a yearlong field day. Michelle Obama got caught in the wind, which blew her hair up into something resembling Ed Grimley ("I must say!") or Cameron Diaz's character in ...

It was all going so well. But when the time came for President Obama to deliver his toast to Queen Elizabeth Tuesday night, the meticulously planned state dinner at Buckingham Palace turned, well, awkward. As Obama began wrapping up his remarks, he put down his notecards and picked up his glass. Ladies and gentlemen, please stand with me and raise your glasses as I propose a toast, the president said, as the guests stood up. To her majesty the Queen. At this point, the band queued up God Save the Queen. But Obama wasnt quite finished yet. So he kept talking over the British national anthem and the president competed with orchestra ...
[Former President Bill] Clinton: NY win is no excuse on Medicare Post Date: 2011-05-25 15:33:16 by Ferret Mike

WASHINGTON (CNNMoney) -- Bill Clinton had a word of warning on Wednesday for fellow Democrats: Don't get too cocky about voters' rejection of Paul Ryan's Medicare plan. In a special election for a vacant House seat on Tuesday, a Democrat candidate upset a Republican in a GOP-stronghold in upstate New York. The race was widely seen as a proxy on Ryan's controversial Republican proposal plan to convert Medicare into a voucher program. Clinton, speaking at a fiscal summit sponsored by the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, said the race showed that voters don't like the Republican plan. But he also told Democrats not to shy away from tackling entitlement programs. "You ...
No link between tornadoes and climate change Post Date: 2011-05-25 15:23:25 by no gnu taxes

The United States is experiencing the deadliest year for tornadoes in nearly six decades, but a top US weather expert said Monday there is no link between the violent twisters and climate change. Instead, the reasons for the spiking death tolls are more likely due to the rise in the number of mobile homes and the chance paths taken by a series of tornadoes that have happened to target populated areas. "This year is an extraordinary outlier," said Harold Brooks, research meteorologist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, Oklahoma. A massive tornado tore though the Missouri town of Joplin over the ...

Herman Cain opposes targeting terrorists who are U.S. citizens for assassination. Expressing surprise and disbelief that the Obama administration has such a policy, the presidential candidate told The Atlantic that Americans accused of terrorist activity should be granted due process, unlike foreigners. "This is the first that I have heard -- you're saying it's okay to take out American citizens if he suspects they are terrorist related. Is that what you said?!" the former Godfather's Pizza CEO said when queried on the topic. "I've got to be honest with you. I have not heard that. I don't believe that the president of the United States should order the ...

WASHINGTON The recovery of the American auto industry, which repaid a significant part of its debt to the federal government on Tuesday, has sparked a political battle over who deserves credit and who deserves blame. On the day that Chrysler wrote a check repaying $5.1 billion to the United States Treasury, President Obama and his Democratic allies claimed credit for saving a crucial industry in Michigan, a state that will be a critical battleground in the 2012 presidential election. Democrats also sought to highlight past statements from Mr. Obamas likely Republican rivals, who had criticized the president for a federal bailout that they said was unnecessary and wasteful. ...

Shortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon with a request. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin's governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential ...

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Sen. Rand Paul introduced eight amendments and co-sponsored one amendment to the USA PATRIOT Act extension bill. During the initial debate on PATRIOT Act reauthorization earlier this year, Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid said he would allow amendments and debate when the bill was brought up again. Senator Reid's (D-Nev.) comments in the Feb. 15, 2011, Congressional Record: Mr. REID. Mr. President, I express my appreciation to everyone involved. It has been a difficult issue, but I will put on the record what I have told a number of Senators personally, and that is that we will, prior to this expiration occurring, bring up the PATRIOT Act and have an ...

As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a warm welcome from a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, freshman Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) skipped out on the speech, sitting quietly at his Senate desk shuffling through papers and newspapers. Earlier this year, Paul proposed eliminating all U.S. aid to Israel, but his office and other Republican senators said Pauls decision to remain on the Senate floor during the address concerned a dispute with Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) over amendments Paul proposed to the Patriot Act extension.
