Unemployment rate rises to 9.1% (What is Obama's tee off time this weekend?) Post Date: 2011-06-03 09:19:28 by no gnu taxes

Reuters will definitely break out the U word or a variant from todays unemployment report. The jobless rate edged upward to 9.1% as the economy added only 54,000 jobs in May, far below the estimates of 150K or so, and putting us back under the pace needed to keep up with population growth: Nonfarm payroll employment changed little (+54,000) in May, and the unemployment rate was essentially unchanged at 9.1 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains continued in professional and business services, health care, and mining. Employment levels in other major private-sector industries were little changed, and local government employment continued to decline. ...
Detroit's Death Rattle Post Date: 2011-06-03 06:42:24 by CZ82

Detroit's Death Rattle Richard Butrick The Muslim call to prayer can be heard all over Detroit -- the baleful sound of the adhan -- what President Obama called "the most beautiful sound on earth." Here is a YouTube link to Obama reciting the Islamic call to prayer. Recite it and you are a Muslim according to Islamic doctrine -- but I digress. Writing in 2009, Wooldridge's account of the decline of Detroit is frightening. Wooldridge was a long time resident of Detroit and watched it decay before his eyes. For 15 years, from the mid 1970s to 1990, I worked in Detroit, Michigan. I watched it descend into the abyss of crime, debauchery, gun play, drugs, school truancy, ...
Herman Cain a Viable Canidate? Post Date: 2011-06-02 21:44:57 by master_of_disaster

I've been hearing more and more about potential Conservative canidate Herman Cain. He is a self made man of intellect, his points are usually on point. He also isn't against talking about taboo subjects like homosexuals in the military. Why should we all cow tow to the minority because it may offend them, would our grandfathers who fought so hard to keep tyranny out of this country go for that. When is it a crime to fight for morals that you believe in,religion, the constitution, our way of life is in jeopardy. I believe a man like Herman Cain is a strong enough leader to get us back on track,he's a family man. He should be considered not because he could offset the minority ...
Weiner’s Office Calls The Police After CBS Marcia Kramer Asks For An Interview Post Date: 2011-06-02 21:24:17 by A K A Stone

WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork) — Congressman Anthony Weiner said Thursday he’s finished talking about the lewd photo sent from his Twitter account.
But he still wouldn’t say whether he’s the one in the picture.
So CBS 2 political reporter Marcia Kramer decided to go to his office on Capitol Hill to try to get you some answers.
You’ll never believe what happened.
Kramer tried to get an interview with the six-term New York Democrat and as a result had the cops called on her.
Kramer walked in to Weiner’s office, announced herself as being from CBS 2 in New York City and said she’d like to see the congressman. Those few words created quite the stir. Doors slammed and people pretended ...

Sacred White Buffalo Born in Texas Post Date: 2011-06-02 13:20:23 by Fred Mertz

GREENVILLE, Texas - A white buffalo, an animal rich in the lore of Native Americans and sacred to many tribes, was recently born in Texas. Arby Little Soldier said the remarkable animal was born on his ranch near Greenville, about an hour northeast of Dallas, in the middle of a thunderstorm on May 12. White buffalo are extremely rare. To be considered sacred they must also have certain markings. And that is black nose, black eyes and black-tipped tail. Not the pink eyes or the blue eyes or the pure albino, he said. This one here is the full one thats counting now. Hed be the third. And the fourth in our Native American prophecy that is the end of the last ...
Obama Can't See the Entitlement Icebergs Post Date: 2011-06-02 11:50:38 by no gnu taxes

President Obama could learn a lesson from this fable about a great ship. Having received ample warning of icebergs ahead, some of the crew of the HMS Titanic proposed changing course to avoid them. But the captain objected. Making that maneuver would end this cruise as we know it. It would disrupt the passengers peace of mind, discomfiting them as we turn and swerve, especially those below decks in steerage, the captain told them. There is no immediate jeopardy and I am appointing a commission to consider other options. The captain then activated the ship-wide public address system and announced, This is the captain speaking. We are happy to have ...
Suddenly Everyone Is Warning About The Next Financial Collapse Post Date: 2011-06-02 11:36:41 by Capitalist Eric

Are we about to see a repeat of 2008 (or something even worse)? Suddenly all kinds of people are coming out of the woodwork and warning that we could be on the verge of the next major financial collapse. Of course many economists and financial pundits just enjoy hearing themselves talk, and sometimes they will make outrageous claims just to get attention, but when so many ominous warnings come out all at once it does tend to make one sit up and take notice. The truth is that global financial markets are even more vulnerable today than they were in 2008, and all over the globe we are seeing trouble signs. Japan is trying to recover from the worst natural disaster that they have ever seen and ...

So I was watching Exit Through the Gift Shop, which spends a lot of time on Shepard Fairey's efforts to plaster his OBEY image far and wide, and I thought, wait, don't I know this guy? And moments later the film reminded me that this was the same schmuck who would later create the Obama HOPE poster, because, and I quote: I have made art opposing the Iraq war for several years, and making art of Obama, who opposed the war from the start, is like making art for peace. I know I have an audience of young art fans and Im delighted if I can encourage them to see the merits of Barack Obama. Curious to see how delighted Mr. Art-For-Peace has been feeling after watching President ...
LIBERALLY INSANE=THE “DEMOCRATIC” MINDFUCK OF THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY Post Date: 2011-06-02 08:28:25 by no gnu taxes

Dont get me wrong, Im nowhere near the far right on any subject. I am just as disgusted by the thought that far-left liberalism has better benefited the struggle of black folks any better. People forget that The Democratic Party was once literally overrun by far left lunatics like Bull Connor, and his fellow sheet wearing, inbred, brotherhood. George Wallace, once considered a beacon of Southern good ole boy democracy, stood his punch- drunk, greasy haired ass in the way of equal education for black students. Many of the church bombings, were not committed by Republicans, but by Democrats, who were literally insane from breeding with their fucking ...

Police and firemen in Alameda, California watched a man drown on Monday after realizing they did not have proper certifications for water rescue, leaving them open to possible lawsuits if they attempted to save him. The drowning victim, 53-year-old Raymond Zack, was apparently suicidal, according to a report from the scene. He waded out about 150 yards into cold waters off Crown Beach in Alameda and took about an hour to drown himself. A crowd of about 75 gathered to watch the bizarre scene, which saw police and firemen just standing at shoreline watching helplessly. After the man had drowned, authorities couldnt even go into the surf to retrieve the body. They instead recruited a ...

The New York Democrat continued to claim that a hacker sent the photo to a 21-year-old college co-ed in Seattle. My system was hacked, pictures can be manipulated, dropped in and inserted, he said. Michelle Obama destroy!! When did the First Lady start taking HGH? She's got to be 6'4" in this picture and an easy 200 lbs! Does the White House have a big flag football game coming up against the Kremlin? Because Michelle looks like she's ready to make some blocks and free up some running lanes. That pic is from Reuters, btw, and is undoctored.
Donald Trump: Ryan’s Plan Is A ‘Death Wish’ For GOP Post Date: 2011-06-01 11:38:19 by Brian S

Ever since New Yorks 26th District delivered a stunning upset by electing Democrat Kathy Hochul, the GOP has been struggling to deny that the election was a referendum on House Budget Chairman Paul Ryans (R-WI) plan to end Medicare. Despite ranking as one of the biggest political fails among Americans, the GOP is committed to walking Ryans plank. But one (current) Republican is not buying it. This morning on Fox and Friends, perennial presidential candidate Donald Trump lambasted the GOP over the Ryan plan. Calling it a death wish, Trump noted that the plans horrendous timing delivered the GOP an impossible loss and will cause ...

This is comedy gold! Rep Anthony Weiner being grilled by reporters on CNNs the Situation Room and cant answer a direct question with a straight answer. Did you send that picture to a college girl in Seattle? Well, lets say that I was giving a speech to 45,000 people a guy in the back of the room threw a pie at me
Congressman, thats not the same as this situation. Okay, let me answer it this way. Suppose I was giving a speech
Looking guiltier and guiltier as the minutes drag on. Look how he tap dances around the direct questions. Liberals HATE being accountable for anything! LOL #weinergate
Horrible Economic Data Continues: ADP Plunges To 38K On Expectations OF 175K; Downward NFP Revisions Next (How's that stimulus working for you?) [Full Thread] Post Date: 2011-06-01 08:29:09 by no gnu taxes

The latest economic data is out and it is horrendous: with expectations for the ADP employment number to come at 175K, following a downward revised 177K print previously, it tumbled to a puny 38K in May. While this number is extremely irrelevant in terms of correlating to the actual NFP number due out this Friday, expect to see a spate of downward NFP revisions on this latest confirmation that the US economy has stalled even with QE2 still in effect for another 29 days (and soon to be extended). From the report: "Todays ADP National Employment Report suggests that employment growth slowed sharply in May. Employment in the nonfarm private-business sector rose 38,000 from April to ...
America Upside Down. Faggot Crowned "Prom Queen" in Sick School District Post Date: 2011-06-01 06:59:13 by A K A Stone

Becoming prom queen at Blacksburg High got harder this year. Young women aspiring to wear the tiara don't just have to worry about the other girls anymore - guys can become prom queen at the high school now too. The proof: Senior student Jake Boyer took the title at this year. "This prom queen thing sort of became a manifestation of 'all right, this is who I am'," Boyer told WDBJ News. "It's time to show it off." Boyer came out as gay publicly during the school year. Encouraged by his friends, he entered into the running for queen of the Blacksburg Prom this spring. The night of the dance, Boyer showed up wearing a green Lady Gaga-inspired outfit. ...
Obama’s Nightmare: Palin Sweeps All 57 States Post Date: 2011-05-31 20:27:23 by Mad Dog

Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World in the summer of discontent for the MSM. Sarahs Magical Mystery Tour de force was highlighted today by a typically vacuous dinosaur-media headline: Palins much-hyped bus tour
Huh? She showed up. I dont recollect any pamphleteering or phone banks prior to the rollout. As I recall it, all was calm within the Beltway
A yuppie couple was strolling along pushing a pram down Massachusetts Ave. A handful of tourists from North Carolina were getting off a chartered bus in front of the Capital. Someone yelled, Its too hot here! Then, Bam! Let the gnashing of teeth begin. George Will was the first of course, but ...
Sessions Leads Budget Battle Post Date: 2011-05-31 19:19:02 by CZ82

Sessions Leads Budget Battle By Jed Babbin on 5.31.11 @ 6:08AM "A lie can travel halfway round the world before the truth has got its boots on," as then British Prime Minister Callaghan said in 1976. Callaghan was, of course, a Labour PM and thus knew first-hand how political falsehoods work. I don't know what kind of boots Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions wears, but he got them on fast enough to enable Senate Republicans to catch up with the Democrats' budgetary misinformation and carry some important truths past them. A few of Sessions' truths are matters of the calendar and arithmetic: it's been more than 760 days since the Democratic Senate passed a budget. In ...

Senators Propose Closing State Offices to Save on Budget By Paul Bedard Posted: May 31, 2011 There may be no better example of how bloated the government is than the number of offices each senator has. First, theres a senators official Washington office in one of three massive buildings on Capitol Hill, especially busy during the 153 days the Senate is scheduled to be in session this year. Add to that a myriad of committee offices. And many senators have hideaways tucked in the Capitols corners, where they can hold private meetings with colleagues and constituents or sneak a nap, lunch, or respite. And then there are the 460 state satellite offices. ...

The House Appropriations Committee today will review the fiscal year 2012 appropriations bill for the Department of Agriculture that includes $71 billion for the agencys Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Thats $2 billion less than what President Obama requested but a 9 percent increase from 2011, which, critics say, is too large given the sizeable budget ...
Are Taxes in the U.S. High or Low? Post Date: 2011-05-31 17:46:56 by Skip Intro

Bruce Bartlett has served as an economic adviser in the White House, the Treasury Department and Congress. Historically, the term tax rate has meant the average or effective tax rate that is, taxes as a share of income. The broadest measure of the tax rate is total federal revenues divided by the gross domestic product. By this measure, federal taxes are at their lowest level in more than 60 years. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that federal taxes would consume just 14.8 percent of G.D.P. this year. The last year in which revenues were lower was 1950, according to the Office of Management and Budget. The postwar annual average is about 18.5 percent of ...
WHO: Cell phone use can increase possible cancer risk Post Date: 2011-05-31 15:11:11 by go65

Radiation from cell phones can possibly cause cancer, according to the World Health Organization. The agency now lists mobile phone use in the same "carcinogenic hazard" category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform. Before its announcement Tuesday, WHO had assured consumers that no adverse health effects had been established. A team of 31 scientists from 14 countries, including the United States, made the decision after reviewing peer-reviewed studies on cell phone safety. The team found enough evidence to categorize personal exposure as "possibly carcinogenic to humans." What that means is they found some evidence of increase in glioma and acoustic neuroma brain ...

I think Obama has lost his mind. He is doing, saying and behaving in the most peculiar ways. His comments in Texas about putting a mote and alligators in the mote to protect the border was so ignorant...then at the last minute when he was talking to the "arab spring" folks he totally throws Israel under the bus, while Bibbi is enroute to the US?? then he heads for the UK..drinks some Guiness and thinks he can speak Gaelic. His toast to the queen was an epic fail and he signs the guest book and dates in 2008..WTF? Is his mental health in question. Does Michelle need to take him to the Doc for psych. evaluation? Is he possible 51/50 material? I think something is very wrong. Maybe ...
