Teen fighting for right to recite 'under God' in Pledge A New Jersey high school senior has won her case to keep "one nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, defeating atheist attacks that sought to strike the language from the pledge. Samantha Jones, a senior at Highland Regional High School, declared victory Friday in protecting what she has described as the right of her fellow students to continue reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in its entirety. After hearing the teen and her family's case, a state judge dismiss the latest efforts by the American Humanist Association to remove "under God" from the Pledge. The legal battle first began when an ...

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone spells out schools’ sex doctrine

The conservative Roman Catholic archbishop of San Francisco has developed a new document for Catholic high school faculty and staff clarifying that sex outside of marriage, homosexual relations, the viewing of pornography and masturbation are “gravely evil.” Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone’s document applies to faculty and staff at four Catholic high schools: Riordan and Sacred Heart in San Francisco, Marin Catholic in Kentfield and Serra High School in San Mateo. It states that administrators, faculty and staff “affirm and believe” the controversial statements, which will be part of the faculty handbook. The document goes on to say that marriage is between ...

Current U.S. Rules Of Engagement In Afghanistan ProblematicBy WILLIAM MAYER December 17, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The response to president Obama's much delayed announcement regarding increased troop levels in Afghanistan has been predictable, with opinion divided predominantly along ideological lines and less concern devoted to matters of military necessity. Generally, the left hates the idea of committing as many as 30,000 additional troops to the Afghan theater by next summer with many on the political right, though basically supportive of the mission, in large part demanding the full complement of 40,000 troops that Gen. McChrystal had originally requested [that ...

IRS EITC Refunds To Illegals Show Obama Amnesty Fraud

Immigration: Aliens granted executive amnesty by President Obama will be eligible for tax credits for the years they worked here illegally. But wasn't amnesty supposed to benefit the economy and not drain the U.S. Treasury? Subverting the Constitution to grant millions of illegal aliens work permits and freedom from deportation apparently isn't enough for the Obama administration. It now intends, through the Internal Revenue Service, to subvert the tax code to let these illegals collect billions in retroactive Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) payments. IRS Commissioner John Koskinen, an unindicted co-conspirator in the cover-up of the IRS Tea Party targeting by Lois Lerner, confirmed ...

Charges were dismissed Thursday against a man whose confrontation with an ABC officer outside a Fayetteville liquor store went viral on YouTube nearly two years ago and became known as the Arizona iced tea case. Christopher Lamont Beatty, 28, of New York, was charged with trespassing and resisting a public officer after the incident at the ABC store on Morganton Road on April 27, 2013. Beatty refused to give the officer, who approached him in the parking lot, his can of Arizona brand iced tea. On Thursday, Cumberland County District Court Judge Lou Olivera agreed with defense lawyer Allen Rogers' motion to dismiss the case based on a lack of reasonable suspicion for a stop. ...

Ohio Police Officer: Hey, Thanks For Carrying A Concealed Firearm

Now, here’s something you don’t see everyday; a police officer from Ohio doing a routine traffic stop thanked the person he pulled over for having a concealed carry permit. The man, who recorded the traffic stop, was driving 15 miles per hour over the speed limit. According to Ohio law, if you’re approached by law enforcement– and you’re carrying a concealed firearm– you must inform them. “I’m happy to see more people with their CCWs [concealed carry weapons permit], especially with the world becoming the way it is,” said the officer.

Detained and jailed for 23 hours; Video proves TSA agent lied in courtA man who was jailed on charges of making “terroristic threats” following a run in with the TSA was acquitted within minutes at a court hearing, after video proved that a TSA agent lied. Roger Vanderklok was arrested at Philadelphia International Airport when a TSA supervisor named Charles Kieser confronted him at a security line and asked whether he had “organic matter” in his bag. It emerged that Kieser was referring to protein bars that Mr Vanderklok was carrying. The Supervisor raised the question after also seeing a watch in the same bag and concluding that the items combined could be some kind of ...

When did the roles reverse? When did the hero become the person who saved people from the police instead of the other way around? Louisville, KY — Louis Mossey was driving down a county highway when the car in front of him unexpectedly swerved off the road and hit a tractor in a John Deere store parking lot. He had no idea what he was about to witness. When Mossey gets out of the vehicle to check on the well being of the occupants in the crashed car, he is immediately met with yelling and cursing from a belligerent man. The man yelled at Mossey and then went back to yelling and cursing at the female driver. The occupants of the crashed vehicle were officer Jonathan Osborne, ...

Primed to kill: Law enforcement officers at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, August 1992. Somewhere, a figure clothed in a pseudonym has been tracking the box office returns of “American Sniper” with great interest and no small measure of envy. He may be among the tens of millions who contributed to its unprecedented commercial success, assuming that a visit to the local Cineplex is permitted under the terms of the federal witness protection program. Many who have seen the cinematic tribute to the late Chris Kyle describe the experience in religious terms, recalling how a chastened, reverent silence descended on the theater as the end credits rolled. SHERIFF CLARKE: DOJ TRYING TO ‘EMASCULATE’ COPS

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (D) alleged that the Justice Department was trying “to emasculate the American police officer” and “turn them into social workers” on Tuesday’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on the Fox News Channel. “‘Transforming local policing,’ if you will, is nothing more than a knee-jerk reaction to what went on in Ferguson, Missouri, and it’s not necessary. Look, Neil, this is a slippery slope toward federalizing local law enforcement. That’s something that the founders of this country resisted, it was talked about by the Congress after World War I. and then as recently as the 9/11 Commission report to ...

The two public defenders who appeared in a violent rap video calling for cops to be executed have resigned and the director of their taxpayer-funded organization has been suspended without pay for 60 days, according to documents released Wednesday. The Post reported exclusively in December that the Bronx Defenders, which has been paid more than $40 million by the city over the past two years to represent the poor, took part in the sickening “Hands Up” video. Ryan Napoli and Kumar Rao, the two attorneys who acted in the video and arranged for it to be filmed at their Bronx Defenders headquarters, have both resigned, according to a letter sent from the organization to the ...

Republicans unveil new ObamaCare replacement plan

Congressional Republicans are unveiling what they say is a new plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare, but the ‘blueprint,’ as they call it, looks an awful lot like what’s been floated before. The Patient Choice, Affordability, Responsibility and Empowerment – or CARE – Act was crafted by Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and House Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich. The first bicameral proposal of the 114th Congress calls for the outright repeal of President Obama’s signature health care law, and with that, the individual mandate to buy insurance or pay a fine. It provides for targeted tax credits ...

Col. Allen West Gets Inducted Into MilitaryCorruption.com's Hall of Shame!

TO OUR READERS Back in 2011 we inducted one of the biggest phonies in American politics into our MilitaryCorruption.com HALL OF SHAME. When the self-proclaimed "Guardian of the Republic," former Congressman Allen West, got in trouble out in Iraq for putting his troops' safety ahead of political correctness, we backed him up. In 2008, when the retired Army lieutenant colonel ran for a House seat in Florida, we did something we almost never do - MCC endorsed a candidate for office. In that race, we raised money for West and gave him our enthusiastic support. By 2010, West ran again with our endorsement, and this time won. We congratulated him and he even took our phone ...

The myth of 5.6% unemployment: Why US official rate is a big, fat lie

Here's something that many Americans -- including some of the smartest and most educated among us -- don't know: The official unemployment rate, as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor, is extremely misleading. Right now, we're hearing much celebrating from the media, the White House and Wall Street about how unemployment is "down" to 5.6%. The cheerleading for this number is deafening. The media loves a comeback story, the White House wants to score political points and Wall Street would like you to stay in the market. There's no other way to say this. The official unemployment rate, which cruelly overlooks the suffering of the long-term and often permanently ...

NBC Nightly News' Brian Williams recants claim he was on chopper that took fire in Iraq

NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams admitted Wednesday that he was not aboard a helicopter hit and forced down during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, recanting a claim that he and the network had repeated for years -- most recently on Friday night. Contrary to Williams' past claims that he was traveling in a Chinook helicopter that was hit by two rockets and small arms fire on March 24, he arrived at the scene in a separate helicopter about an hour later. He apparently was never in any danger, and the Chinook that took fire, one of three in its formation, was able to make an emergency landing with no casualties. "I want to apologize," Williams said on Wednesday night's ...

Kansas Supreme Court Limits Use Of Portable DUI Tester

High court in Kansas compares DUI sobriety test to Magic 8 Ball and Ouija Board. The Kansas Supreme Court on Friday slammed the use of the horizontal gaze nystagmus (HGN) test commonly given on the side of the road to motorists suspected of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. The court made the point in reversing the conviction of William J. Molitor, a driver who showed few signs of intoxication and was only given a breath test after he failed the controversial eye test.Nystagmus is the abnormal and involuntary jerking of the eyeballs as they track an object to the extreme range of their motion. The jerking movement tends to occur earlier for those who are either intoxicated or ...

Cops Hate Waze (That’s a reason to love it)

One of the clearest indications you live in a police state – or one well on its way to becoming one – is “rules for us” (you and me) and “rules for them” (government officials and enforcers). This manifests in numerous ugly ways, the latest being the controversy over an app called Waze. Among other useful functions such as alerting drivers to traffic jams down the road, it alerts drivers to cops down the road. Cops, of course, do not like this at all. It is bad for business. And that is exactly the right word. We’re told that radar traps and so on exist not to extract dollars from our wallets but for “safety.” If so, why do the cops squeal so ...

State senator says all white people are racist and ‘polluted’ his blood

LINCOLN, Neb. — Omaha Sen. Ernie Chambers said all white people are racist and that his blood was “polluted” by white people last week while filibustering a bill and lambasting a state education board member who has rejected calls for his resignation after his blog called the president a “half-breed.” Chambers, a 77-year-old African American senator who is the state’s longest serving lawmaker, made the comments about race while filibustering a bill that would increase the fee for marriage licenses. His comments came after three weeks of debate and calls for the resignation of State Board of Education member Pat McPherson, whose blog repeatedly used ...

IRS offers extra tax refunds to illegal immigrants granted amnesty by Obama

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen confirmed Tuesday that illegal immigrants granted amnesty from deportation under President Obama’s new policies would be able to get extra refunds from the IRS for money they earned while working illegally, as long as they filed returns during those years. Illegal immigrants who are granted the amnesty will be given official Social Security numbers, which means they can go back and amend up to three years of previous tax forms to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, potentially claiming billions of dollars in additional payments they were ineligible for before the amnesty. Mr. Koskinen said they will have to have already filed returns for those ...

Republicans Scramble As Dems Block Bill Defunding Executive Amnesty

With top Senate Democrats resolutely vowing to block any bill that seeks to restrict from President Obama’s desk, and filibustering the Department of Homeland Security funding bill to prevent it from even coming to the Senate floor, GOP senators are all over the map on how to respond. Conservatives including Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) want to press on, making Democrats pay a political price for instituting gridlock on behalf of the president’s unpopular order. But moderates such as Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) are openly expressing fear about the outcome of a partial government shutdown if no agreement is reached. “I don’t know. We are having constant discussions on what the ...
