A man was bit by a rattlesnake at the Ocean Beach dog beach, the San Diego Fire Department said. The incident happened around 2:25 p.m. on Voltaire Street. The adult man was transported to the UC San Diego Medical Center. The condition of the victim is unknown. Last year, warmer weather at the start of the year resulted in more than triple the number of rattlesnake calls to the County's Department of Animal Services.
