Obama Manages To Bring Racism Into His Official Statement Marking Passover
The bridge he talks about Civil Rights leaders marching across into the Promised Land in his Passover statement just happens to be the one featured in the White House Twitter feed(and out of which he cut George W. Bush who was walking on the right hand side): Via WhiteHouse.gov: Statement from the President on Passover Michelle and I send our warmest greetings to all those celebrating Passover in the United States, in the State of Israel, and throughout the world. Tonight, for the seventh year, Ill hold a Seder in the White House, and well join millions of Jewish families as we ...

As horrific as the Boston Marathon Bombing was, it could have been even worse, according to court testimony. According to the Boston Herald, Trooper Robert McCarthy of the state bomb squad took the stand in Tsarnaev's trial on Wednesday, the 9th day of testimony. Among his chilling revelations: that Tsarnaev had abandoned three additional bombs. Two bombs were left at the site of a police shootout; a third one was left in the driver's seat of the 2013 Mercedes SUV that Tsarnaev had stolen while fleeing police. McCarthy said the bomb left in the Mercedes was in a clear, square Tupperware container packed with "two to three pounds" of blast powder and "multiple ...

Be careful what you post on Facebook, or you could be charged with a crime over your smiling selfie. This is something 26-year-old Kristin Holmes learned the hard way this week when she was arrested and charged with a crime she referred to as Facebook Thugging, for posting of a photo of herself with a handgun. Its not just photos that can get you in trouble though, the Fraternal Order of Police is warning that in Virginia, you can be charged with this crime even for swearing. Holmes was charged with harassment by computer after a case of mistaken identity escalated into a Facebook comment feud. A woman had reportedly mistaken Holmes for ...

In September of last year, he and his daughter had been hard at work and were unable to cut the lawn on their Grand Prairie home. Islamic State has taken control of 90 percent of a Palestinian refugee camp on the Damascus outskirts where 18,000 civilians have suffered years of bombing, army siege and militia control, a monitoring group said on Saturday. The hardline group's offensive in Yarmouk gives it a major presence in the capital. Islamic State, the most powerful insurgent group in Syria, is now only a few kilometers from President Bashar al-Assad's seat of power. The United Nations has said it is extremely concerned about the safety and protection of Syrians and Palestinians in the camp. Civilians trapped there have long suffered a government siege that has led to starvation and disease. "The ...

LOS ANGELES "The Price is Right" model Manuela Arbelaez thought she would have to come on down to the unemployment line after she mistakenly revealed the price of a new car on the game show. The 26-year-old model said in an interview Friday that she lost her train of thought while exposing the answers to "Five Price Tags," a game that involves correctly choosing a vehicle's value among five oversized tags. Arbelaez accidently unmasked the correct $21,960 price after the contestant's first pick, even though the participant still had two more chances to guess. "It was a brain fart," said Arbelaez. "I just zoned out. I literally did not see ...

Phoenix, Arizona It was reported this week that the police officer who shot and killed unarmed Rumain Brisbon on his doorstep will have no criminal charges filed against him. As some of you may remember, back in December, Officer Mark Rine of the Phoenix Police department shot and killed 34-year-old Rumain Brisbon because he mistakenly thought that Brisbon was carrying a gun. According to police, the officers involved were investigating Brisbon because some neighbors allegedly told them that someone in an SUV was selling drugs in a nearby apartment complex. From the start, this story seems suspicious as police often use fabricated anonymous tips as a justification to ...

In a video posted to Facebook on April 2, two Chicago police officers are seen confiscating a basketball goal belonging to Diego Chavarria, 22, as he looked on and filmed the destruction of his property. According to Chavarria, the incident took place on Thursday around 4:30 pm on West 26th and South Kedvale Avenue. The young man and his friend were playing a game in the street, when the police pulled up to harass them. Instead of telling the young men to move the game to a safer area, or into their own yard or driveway, the officers not only confiscated it, but destroyed the rim, beating it against the ground as if it was an unarmed citizen. They said we ...

Port Acres, TX After setting a legal precedent for medical marijuana use in the state of Texas, courts are now going back on their decision allowing an epileptic man to use his medication during probation. Last month, we reported on the case of Jeremy Bourque, an epileptic, and self-prescribed medical marijuana patient. He was facing jail time for growing three marijuana plants; the intended use of which being personal medical consumption. Jeremy had contacted us with the good news that not only was he able to avoid jail time, but the terms of his probation would also allow for him to test positive for marijuana. This decision was monumental and truly unprecedented for the ...

Is There Such a Thing as Too Much Democracy? Post Date: 2015-04-03 14:45:14 by Biff Tannen

Observing the rapt eulogies of former Singapore president, Lee Kuan Yew, Richard Cohen in the Washington Post writes that we appear to be suffering from an acute case of authoritarian envy. We suffer from an excess of democracy. We have a Congress that has been gridlocked for as long as anyone can remember. It is at the mercy of any extremist from anywhere in the country who can threaten a primary fight. Our infrastructure is eroding, yet we seem incapable of doing anything about it. Lee also knew the value the sheer utility of education
Yet the left and the right are united in opposition to national education standards ...
Rand Paul Has J.C. Watts in His Corner Post Date: 2015-04-03 14:07:24 by A K A Stone

When Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky kicks off his campaign for president on Tuesday, one of the people who will endorse him and share the stage is former Representative J.C. Watts, one of the few black Republicans to have served in Congress. Mr. Watts is expected to be a vocal surrogate for Mr. Paul, who has made clear he is trying to show he can broaden the Republican Partys base to newer voters. Senator Paul has shown what I have always believed, a leader can be a strong economic and social conservative and yet be concerned about the least of these, Mr. Watts, who retired from Congress in January 2003, said in a statement. Mr. Watts, a college quarterback for the ...

The close ties between university officials and big oil companies is a conflict of interest that is hampering research that the industry sees as unfavorable Many Oklahomans can still vividly recall the day they experienced their first earthquake. Ever since 2009/2010, earthquakes in the state have increased exponentially leading to what are called seismic swarms. In 2000 there was not a single earthquake, but in 2014 we experienced 585 quakes of magnitude three or larger. Oklahomans want to get to the bottom of this mystery increase of quakes and are turning to state officials for answers. As a state legislator, I am concerned that a conflict of interest in universities ...

Say that "Bestiality Is Wrong" or "Polygamy Is Wrong" and it's not considered hate speech, but if you have the opinion that "Gay Marriage Is Wrong" the whole world jumps up and down screaming "racism" "bigotry" and "hatred". This is becoming the politically-correct norm, but no matter what one argues, this is suppressing free speech. No one targeted pro-gay bakeries, but gay activists target Christian bakeries. "Support Gay Marriage" is one Christian bakery was sued for refusing to put that slogan on a cake for an event to support the gay agenda.
