Kingsport pastor charged with stealing thousands from church

KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) -A Kingsport pastor is now charged with stealing more than $60,000 from his church.
Sullivan County grand jurors indicted Victory Apostolic Church Pastor Boyd Holder this week on a charge of theft over $60,000 and money laundering. Prosecutors confirmed he was arrested and bonded out of jail.
The charge comes more than three months after Kingsport police opened an investigation.On February 6, investigators say several members of the congregation came to police with concerns over a substantial sum of money being missing from the church coffers. I was walking to the store today when I was attacked by a hen sized mutt. This dog was only slightly larger than a house cat. I don't think it was rabid, just stupid. Maybe I passed in front of its house, but I don't know. It came charging at me like a rabid pit bull. I thought it would stop and just bark, but it became clear quickly it wanted to bite me. Okay, I became quickly aware I was going to boot this little vermin like a football. It dodged my initial kick, and leaped and made a slight attempt at a bite towards me from behind. It the ran ran off. Next time, i will just kill it.

One hundred people have been killed in Baltimore this year, a grim milestone that has come faster than in previous years. The city could be headed for its most violent year this decade. The pace of killing is faster than last year, when 71 people were killed by this time. The number of homicides last reached 100 by late May in 2007; the city reached that number on July 4 last year.
