For many it’s a live long dream to get “off the grid” and live self-sufficiently. But unplugging from municipal services has been ruled illegal by a court in Cape Coral, Florida. Special Magistrate Harold S. Eskin ruled that Robin Speronis is not allowed to live on her own private property without being hooked up to the city’s water system. He admitted that she had the right to live without utility power, but said that her alternative power sources must always first be approved by the city. He was severely injured when a Long Beach police officer encountered Feras Morad last week. By Saturday law enforcement officials had released 20-year-old Morad’s name, saying that he allegedly “threatened” a Long Beach officer before being fatally shot. Morad died at a hospital after Wednesday evening’s shooting. After riding in the cab all the way to her destination, Bascom jumped out of the cab without paying. Bascom was found guilty, so Judge Cicconetti gave her a choice: serve 60 days in the county jail or walk that thirty miles within 48 hours. Bascom began her walk Friday afternoon. She was also sentenced to four months probation and ordered to pay the cab company $100 in restitution, according to WOIO.

Now all it needs is the governors signature and Maine will have Constitutional Carry, no license required to carry a concealed weapon. Praise God. We will need, I think, a state issued license to carry in other states, but no longer in Maine. Now crime will go thru the floor. I want to take a minute to publicly thank Senator Eric Blakely, as a freshman senator this kid drove this bill through both houses. Lots of folks will take credit, but it was this young man who did the work and never quit. God be with and bless him and God willing he will be our next Governor.

A Kissimmee pastor is in the Osceola County Jail on charges of swindling Medicaid out of $94,000 for mental-health care that patients never received, according to the state Attorney General's Office. In September of last year, I was pulled over by a quota-driven cop and given a ticket for speeding. The ticket carried with it a significant fine and the addition of 4-points onto my license. This past Thursday (May 28, 2015), I successfully defended myself in court, and had the charges dismissed. Highway patrol troopers in Oklahoma fatally shot a man whom they had been trying to get out of high water, authorities said. The two troopers responded to a stranded motorist call south of Tulsa late Friday and found two men with two vehicles, said Capt. Paul Timmons of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The troopers told the men to come toward them to safer ground out of the high water, Timmons said. But at some point, an altercation broke out. public high school teacher in Greeley, Colo. who is also a pastor at a Methodist church was busted last week in a prostitution sting at a motel in nearby Fort Collins. The teacher and pastor is John Derek Haffner, reports the Greeley Tribune. Haffner, 52, is a career and life choices teacher at Greeley Central High School. He is also a student graduation interventionist. In addition, Haffner is a pastor at First United Methodist Church in Pierce, Colo., a tiny town just north of Greeley. After his wife found thousands of files on his computer, a children's pastor was arrested on child porn charges, but new information shows he may not have been around children just at church.
Tony Waller was the children's pastor at Jonesboro First Assembly of God and was arrested last week on child porn charges.
While Waller was a children's pastor, he also had a job at a Region 8 school.
