The Republic For Which It Stands At issue in the Hiss case, wrote Whittaker Chambers in his autobiography Witness, was the question whether this sick society, which we call Western civilization, could in its extremity still cast up a man whose faith in it was so great the he would voluntarily abandon those things which men hold good, including life, to defend it. In August 1948, Chambers, an editor at Time, identified Alger Hiss, a former assistant to the Secretary of State and former General Secretary of the United Nations, as a fellow member of his underground Communist cell in the 1930s. Hiss was ultimately convicted of perjury for denying his espionage ...

Today is the 71st Anniversary of D-Day, the anniversary of the invasion of Normandy, one of the most important, most historic and what should be one the most important remembered days in American history. The unspeakable bravery of these heroes of the Greatest Generation must never be forgotten, and one would think that our Commander-in-Chief would use June 6, to remind our great nation that they owe their freedom to these brave men. Yet, America-hating Marxist Dictator Obama issued his weekly address to Americans on D-Day and made no mention of D-Day, but instead used it to honor a different kind of invasion, an invasion of foreigners illegally crossing our border and being ...

"We will always remember..." An emotional Ronald Reagan commemorates the 40th Anniversary of D-Day and its courageous heroes on June 6, 1984 @Pointe Du Hoc and Omaha Beach, France. Poster Comment:Aside from noting the obvious -- how deeply and sincerely Ronald Reagan appreciated those who sacrificed all for a nation he and they profoundly loved -- Reagan's humility stands in stark contrast to the personal arrogance, disdain, and hatred the current President has for America...for those who serve...and for all that this nation has ever stood for.

I have a question
This post is not meant to incite a riot or revolution, it is simply to get a bit of information for an upcoming thought on ChristianPatriot.com.
If a group of 300 combat veterans started assassinating members of Congress, the Court, the Administration and others in g0vt, leaving with each body the notice, "Get back to Constitutional government or else the body count will rise", what do you think g0vt would do?
Would they get back to abiding by the Constitution?
Would Congress, the administration, the courts and other high politicians order the enforcers to hunt down and kill, at all cost, those killing the leaders of the oligarchy, or would the people rise up ...

A graduating teens father, Henry Walker, shouted: You did it, baby. That was enough to have a warrant issued for his arrest. The Mississippi school had asked parents, friends and family to hold their applause until the end. But Walker was so overjoyed that he shouted this cheer out and waved a towel. The crowd was far from angry at him, as his comment drew laughs from the crowd. That was all there was to it. There was no interference with the graduation ceremony, just a proud father who couldnt contain his pride in his daughter. The Mississippi family was shortly thereafter kicked out of the graduation ceremony. But as surprising as that reaction was, they were ...

By Ben Wolfgang - The Washington Times - Thursday, June 4, 2015 In a major blow to environmental activists, the Obama administration said Thursday that the controversial drilling technique known as fracking has not caused any widespread impacts on drinking water, removing a key argument among those who want to limit U.S. oil-and-gas development. The Environmental Protection Agency study, while identifying potential vulnerabilities in the fracking process that could affect water supplies, debunked the claim that the drilling practice is contaminating drinking water all across the country and represents a fundamental danger to clean water. From our assessment, we conclude ...

"Today, I am running for the presidency of the United States of America," Perry said. Perry railed against the economic and foreign policy record of the Obama administration, calling the former a result of tax-and-regulatory policies. (CNN)After decades of a downward trend in crime, residents in some large U.S. cities wonder if a reversal is coming. If you live in Baltimore, you know that May, with 43 homicides, was the deadliest month since 1972. Or if you are a Houstonian, you've probably heard that murders were up 45% through April compared to the same period in 2014. The latest statistics in Milwaukee show a 103% spike in murders year-to-date compared with a year ago. The spike in killings in these major cities would be troubling in itself at any time, but it is especially troubling now, when policing practices, race and social policies are regularly in the news. Shortly before 10 p.m. on a Wednesday in April, Tammy Castro was describing the heartbreaking story of her sons losing battle against drug abuse. The crowded Capitol conference room, packed with marijuana-rights activists, fell silent. Marijuana started her son on a downward spiral to his death, Castro said, holding back tears. If you pass this bill, you are sentencing more youth to certain death. Castro was testifying against House Bill 2165, which would completely legalize adult use of marijuana in Texas. States like Colorado and Washington that have legalized recreational pot have created detailed structures for regulating the plant. Simpsons approach was far ...

An Army bio-defense facility in Utah may have mistakenly sent live anthrax samples to 51 commercial companies, academic institutions and federal labs without proper safeguards, more than double the total disclosed last week, a widening Pentagon investigation has found. Officials said Wednesday that the facilities are scattered across 17 states and the District of Columbia, as well as in Canada, Australia and Korea, suggesting a systemic lapse in the military's little-known program to study defenses against biological weapons agents, including anthrax. Alabama Senate Votes to End State Marriage Licenses [Full Thread] Post Date: 2015-06-02 12:08:07 by cranko

Why are there marriage licenses a permission slip granted or denied by the state rather than just contracts like any other? Why does government stand in the position to veto the choices of two people who want to commit to each other? These are questions that the Alabama Senate considered in May this year. The result was the passage of Senate Bill 377, supported by 22 senators and opposed by only 3. Under this legislation, licenses would no longer exist for marriage. Marriage would become a plain contract filed with the Probate offices. In effect, this would restore the traditional role of law in marriage as it has existed in most times and places, before the ...
