Charleston is reeling today after a gunman walked into a historic South Carolina church and shot 9 unarmed men, women and children. One of the deceased included a church pastor and former state senator. Reports say a little girl witnessed the massacre and played dead to elude the shooter’s attention. The F.B.I. and multiple online reports say the shooter’s name is Dylann Storm Roof, 21. Associated Press reports Police Chief Greg Mullen said he believed the attack at the Emanuel AME Church was a hate crime.
