"Officer Safety" uber alles, you know. The eleven-year-old girl shrieked in horror as the shower curtain was ripped away, leaving her exposed to the view of a large male stranger. Her sense of violation was compounded by the threat of immediate, violent death: The marauder was wearing body armor and aiming an assault rifle at the naked, terrified child.Downstairs, the offender's comrades were ransacking the house and barking profane orders at the traumatized child's family. Sterling Harrison, her 19-year-old brother, was sitting in front of a game console when three of the invaders burst into his upstairs room, bound him, and shoved him down the stairway. Her ...

As WND has reported, Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof was a known drug user who was caught with the powerful mind-altering narcotic Suboxone when apprehended by police during an incident on Feb. 28. Suboxone is used to treat addiction to opioid drugs such as heroin. Its adverse effects include anxiety, irritability, depersonalization, confusion, suicidal thoughts and irrational, sometimes violent behavior. Other drugs linked to mass killers have more often been geared toward treating mental illness. According to a data set of U.S. mass shootings from 1982-2012 prepared by Mother Jones magazine, of 62 mass shootings carried out by 64 shooters, the majority of the shooters (41) ...

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The latest data shows that each day, 30 people die from an alcohol-related crash on U.S. roads, but it's not just alcohol that can pose a threat to other drivers. "We're having the interaction with them and looking for any kind of impairment. If it's alcohol, if it's illegal drugs or prescription drugs. Just looking for all those indicators of different influences," South Dakota Highway Patrol Sgt. Steve Schade said. Saturation checkpoints can be an effective way to keep impaired drivers of all types off the roads. Of the 1,950 drivers that made their way through the checkpoint, only one person was arrested for a drug-related charge. It's a ...

What do you think the end result would be for you if you tried to operate this way? Judicial Watch is succeeding in court in its effort to remind the Obama IRS that it isnt above the law. But its clear to us after reviewing a seven-page court filing the IRS finally submitted in response to a court order that the tax agency is working to stonewall our efforts. Last week, just to ...

Trump, who rarely declines an invitation to a verbal food fight, fired right back, saying Clinton "just blamed me for the horrendous attack that took place in South Carolina." I get it. With 15 people onstage, the debates will be enough of a circus without having a clown there. But on what grounds would you go about excluding Trump and no one else? And
wouldnt this backfire tremendously? Lets think this through. His involvement in any televised debate will be damaging, said Matt Mackowiak, a Republican strategist based in Texas. It is my sincere hope that he is blocked from participating. Hes a very toxic addition to the field, said Katie Packer Gage, deputy campaign manager of Mitt Romneys 2012 presidential campaign. Mr. Trump so far has been invited to a number of GOP candidate forums, ...

Dave and Deanna Mitchell appreciate the no-children-in-residence policy at their new home, the Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community in Pleasanton. It's not that the Mitchells don't like children, it's just the opposite in fact. They needed to live somewhere that would finally prevent them from taking them in children to live with them. From 1970 to 2013 the Mitchells, formerly of Danville, took in a total of 431 foster children. "Unbelievable, huh?" laughs Deanna. "It sounds like a big number," Dave adds, "but they only came one, two, or three at a time. Not all at once." The Mitchells met in high school in the 1950's in Missouri and got ...
Republicans Really Not Happy John Kasich Told Them They Are Monsters Post Date: 2015-06-19 17:21:33 by Willie Green

John Kasich is earnestly running for president, perhaps blissfully unaware of just how deeply he violated his partys moral code. As governor of Ohio, Kasich accepted the Medicaid expansion that is part of the Affordable Care Act, thereby providing medical care to some half-million Ohioans. Worse still, Kasich framed his decision not just as a concession to his states budgetary needs but as a matter of conscience. Alex Isenstadt reports that Kasich offended a number of party donors at a Koch-organized conference last year. Randy Kendrick, a major party contributor and wife of the owner of the Arizona Diamondbacks, objected to Kasichs moral defense of the Medicaid ...

The Confederate flag is having a moment in the news today. First, the Supreme Court ruled that the state of Texas does not have to issue Confederate flag license platesand, if you want the truth, I was actually a little surprised that the state didnt want to issue them. But hey, a little improvement is always nice. Then came the news that while the South Carolina State flag and the American flag at the Statehouse were at half mast in response to the mass shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Churchthe Confederate flag, which also flies there, was still at full mast. Now youd think, given what had just happened not even a full day before, that ...
While MSM Fixates on Charleston Shooting, Obama Granted Special Powers for Ominous Secret Deal Post Date: 2015-06-19 08:42:10 by Deckard

As Americans were focused on the spectacle of racial depravity and stark brutality, seen at the church shooting in Charleston, the U.S. House of Representatives quietly voted to grant President Obama fast-track authority on numerous international trade deals. The suspected gunman in the church killings, Dylan Storm Roof, entered the church and sat with parishioners before allegedly opening fire. Police officials have indicated that they believe there is a racial motive behind the deranged acts. Coverage of the killings, and ensuing 13-hour manhunt, which resulted in the capture of Roof, was relentless, with little room in the 24-hr news cycle for any other news, much to the delight of the ...

This week, 60-year-old radiologist Kenneth Najarian was killed by a drunk driver when he took a bike ride through his neighborhood before dinner. The driver may actually end up getting off easy, because she happens to be married to a cop. He said he was going for a quick bike ride, and he would be back, but he wasnt back, Najarians wife Krissi told reporters with the Burlington Free Press. I couldnt find him anywhere. I was afraid he went into some tall brush. Thats when I came upon the accident scene, she recalled. Najarian was sadly run down by 36-year-old Holly Gonyeau, the drunk wife of Williston police officer Keith Gonyeau. ...

Morning Joe: Joke Could Be On Those Who Mock Trump Post Date: 2015-06-19 01:35:18 by Gatlin

"People who think he's a joke and a fool need to be careful because by the end of the campaign, the joke may be on them." That's how Joe Scarborough summed up the surprisingly respectful analysis of Donald Trump's candidacy on today's Morning Joe. Introducing the segment, Scarborough suggested that if Trump sticks to a Perot-like populist message, he could get 15% of the primary vote. When Joe turned to Steve Schmidt, this NewsBuster expected the former McCain campaign manager and establishment Republican to dump on Trump. But to the contrary, Schmidt agreed heartily with Joe and went on to make the case that Trump is channeling widespread popular resentment, is ...

Several TV shows from the past decade, such as Two and a Half Men, The Office, and How I Met Your Mother have had a deep impact in popular culture by introducing a myriad of terms, slang, and rhetoric to a national audience. One of the more interesting examples from these shows were jokes aimed at macho culture, such as How I Met Your Mothers The Bro Code mocking the pseudo code of conduct for the interrelation between men. These shows had immature male characters who often used the phrases Bro to denote men, and Ho for women, a play on the immature male stereotype the show made fun of. And, combining these two childish terms, they made various ...

June 18, 2015 Sen. Rand Paul took a risk Thursday. Speaking to an audience of religious conservatives in the wake of a racially charged shooting in South Carolina, Paul delicately suggested that Republicans might want to start focusing on other parts of the Bill of Rights than the Second Amendment. "Everybody is for the Second Amendment. All 55 candidates running for president are for the Second Amendmenton our side," Paul told the crowd. "But the thing is that a lot of young people, that might not be their primary issue." Leaving room, even rhetorical room, to one's rightparticularly on an issue as important to the Republican base as gun rightsis ...

Actually, President Obama, Mass Killings Arent Uncommon In Other Countries JUNE 18, 2015 By David Harsanyi President Barack Obama responded to the horrific shooting at a historic black church in Charleston that left nine dead with an earnest statementwell, other than that contention that was completely untrue. Once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun.
We as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. Lets set aside the assertion that its too easy to obtain guns in America and deal ...

The statists are coming for your kids, and the conditioning has already begun CHAPTER ONE War is a Racket WAR is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes. From Major General Smedley ...
