A gunman killed seven people at two Half Moon Bay, California landscaping nurseries Monday night, just days after another highly deadly mass shooting in the state. The 67-year-old suspect in the Half Moon Bay shootings has been arrested, and San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus said one person was in critical condition at a hospital, NPR reported. A new class-action lawsuit alleges that the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) knowingly allowed hundreds of children to be wrongfully incarcerated in juvenile jail. A small number of classified documents was found in former Vice President Mike Pence's personal residence in Indiana earlier this month, according to reports. Pence officials found two boxes of possible classified materials inside the home on Jan. 18, as well as another two boxes that contained copies of vice presidential papers, according to CNN. The vice president's team notified the National Archives and Records Administration upon its discovery, officials said. A group of vicious teenaged thugs attacked at least two people and severely beat a Fox News meteorologist in the early morning hours on Sunday. Nearly a year after his property was seized by the town of Bolton, Massachusetts, for property taxes owed, Alan DiPietro, an Alpaca farmer, filed suit this month against the town of Bolton for “home equity theft,” claiming that the seizure constitutes an unlawful taking of his property in violation of the Massachusetts Constitution and the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. This morning, the Knights of Columbus released the results of their annual Marist poll on sanctity-of-life issues. They surveyed 1025 adults between January 6 and January 9 of this year. This Knights have been commissioning annual abortion polls for the past 15 years and inform debates over sanctity-of-life issues.
