Here's a quick guide:Abercrombie & Fitch: The preppy classic clothing store is closing 60 U.S. stores during the 2017 fiscal year as leases expire, CNBC reported. Reversing a policy of the Obama era, the Trump administration announced Friday that it will not release records on visitors to the White House, claiming that doing so would present grave national security risks and privacy concerns. Photo by Diego Cambiaso Under the new policy, logs of people entering the White House to lobby or meet with the president or his aides will not be made public until five years after President Donald Trump leaves office. Watchdog groups on the left and right quickly denounced the decision, arguing it casts a shroud on whom the president is meeting with and what groups are trying to influence him. This new secrecy policy undermines the rule ...

I had this dream last night. The Astros were playing the Dodgers. A batter for the Dodgers hit a high fly ball down the right field line. It was a fair ball and barely cleared the wall. However, a fan trying to catch the ball muffed it and the ball fell back into the field of play. An outfielder for the Dodgers caught it. A home run, right? Yet in my dream an umpire ruled an out. Was my dream correct?
Wisconsin Says You Can’t Buy Kerrygold Butter Until A Bureaucrat Tastes It For You Post Date: 2017-04-14 22:46:21 by Deckard

It may well be the Platonic Ideal of Butter. But folks in Wisconsin will never know because some apparatchik on the sixth floor of the Department of Agriculture has not yet spoken.Wisconsin law forbids the sale of any butter unless it has first been sampled and graded. This is not to ensure the product is not contaminated or otherwise dangerous. It is not even to determine whether it has nutritional value. It is, rather, a mandatory taste test in which a government connoisseur must assess whether a butter has fine and pleasing flavor or tastes too acidic. This bureaucrat must evaluate its aroma and texture and affix a letter grade. That grade ...

And so Donald Trump flips on yet another issue. One day after the President reversed his core stance on a broad range of policies including the US Dollar, interest rates, the futures of Janet Yellen, the Ex-Im bank, the obsolescence of NATO and whether China is a currency manipulator, on Thursday afternoon he took aim at Wikileaks and Julian Assance, when CIA Director, Mike Pompeo, in his first public appearance since taking the top intel post in the Trump administration, called the whistleblower organization a "non-state hostile intelligence service" abetted by state actors like Russia. "It's time to call out WikiLeaks for what it really is: A non-state hostile ...

Weslaco, TX Americans, it seems, are increasingly becoming desensitized to police violence to the point that unarmed fathers being gunned down in front of their children barely registers as a blip on the nightly news radar. According to newspaper editors, however, stories about animal abuse often generate more responses from upset readers than articles about violence directed toward humans. Reports from police agencies support the claim that shooting a dog brings more heat down on an agency than an officer-involved shooting of a human. One would think that because the stigma associated with police officers shooting dogs is often worse than police ...

Two Georgia police officers have been fired today after videos surfaced online showing a man being punched and kicked during a traffic stop, police said. Marksville, LA The officer-involved wounding of Christopher Few and the murder of his son Jeremy Mardis has taken a perverse and bizarre turn, if prosecutors of former Marksville, Lousiana Police Officer Norris Greenhouse, Jr. are to be believed. Marksville law enforcement officer, Derrick Stafford, was recently convicted of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter in the shooting that led to Mardis death, and Fews close brush with death. Now its Greenhouses turn to be tried for second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. In a recent court filing, Greenhouse was accused by prosecutors of having a habit of abusing the authority implicit in his badge ...

William Norman Grigg died this afternoon. He was a journalist, broadcaster, editor, musician, father, husband, and a self-described Christian Individualist. He was also my hero. Wills main beat was stories about individual victims of the state: particularly Americans who have been unjustly imprisoned or wrongfully assaulted by government officers. His research for each article was exhaustive. From his home in Idaho, he traveled all around the northwest to get the story in person. He would get to know each subject personally, and seek face-to-face interviews with their powerful persecutors. His tireless work has saved several innocent lives from being slowly drained away in prison. He ...

DEA Just Admitted It Lets Drugs Into Communities & Pushes Them on Citizens Post Date: 2017-04-12 13:16:50 by Deckard

When Richard Nixon decided to bring the War on Drugs into full force, he signed Reorganization Plan No. 2, in 1973, which established the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). For decades, the DEA has carried out a war on people as it enforces the senseless, unjust prohibition of arbitrary substances. Government ruins countless lives locking people in cages for years or life, tearing apart families for victimless crimes such as possessing cannabis or other illicit drugs. In a glaring example of hypocirsy, however, the DEA is teaching Americans a telling lesson youre not supposed to sell or possess substances that are deemed illegal by the ...

President Trump, With Respect, Start Ruthlessly Purging The U.S. General Officer Corps Post Date: 2017-04-12 07:32:23 by Deckard

President Trump: Last time we discussed your refusal to abide by the Constitutions hard-and-fast war-making provision, a decision that merits as it did for most of your post-1945 predecessors impeachment proceedings. Waging war in the manner you did in Syria is the work of an absolute monarch or a dictator, not that of a popularly elected president of this republic. Today, we must discuss a topic that has been covered in this space on multiple occasions; namely, the need for you to immediately purge via forced retirement scores of your general officers. The American fetish for treating these officers as god-like wonders is baseless and must be curtailed to ...

Donald Trump’s Pick For Top Economic Adviser Is Pro-Immigration, Pro-Outsourcing Post Date: 2017-04-10 08:48:15 by Stoner

President Donald Trump has picked an economic advisor who believes in growing the nations economy by importing workers and consumers, and by expanding free-trade outsourcing, despite Trumps buy American, hire American campaign promises. Kevin Hassett is slated to become chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors if he is approved by the Senates banking committee. If Hassett is confirmed, that will be a win for the corporatist, business-first faction in Trumps White House, which fights for influence in the Oval Office against the populist, America-first faction that helped Trump win the election in November. The Debt Crisis Of 2017: Once Their Vacation Ends, Congress Will Have 4 Days To Avoid A Government Shutdown On April 29 Post Date: 2017-04-10 06:35:22 by HomerBohn

April 2017 could turn out to be one of the most important months in U.S. history that we have seen in a very long time. On April 6th, Donald Trump attacked Syria on the 100th anniversary of the day that the U.S. officially entered World War I, and now at the end of this month we could be facing an unprecedented political crisis in Washington. On Friday, members of Congress left town for their two week Easter vacation, and they wont resume work until April 25th. What this means is that Congress will have precisely four days when they get back to pass a bill to fund government operations or there will be a government shutdown starting on April 29th. Up to this point, there ...

Ft. Collins, CO Bystanders at Barstool Sports Bar near Colorado State University were treated to a front-row seat at what could easily be described as a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) takedown of a fragile woman by what could be characterized as a bully cop. But, of course, police see the altercation differently. You decide. When the video (taken by a bar-goer) begins, a woman can be seen arguing with a Ft. Collins police officer. But when one looks closely, the officer can be seen positioning his hands on the woman in such a way as to be able to effect a near perfect body slam. And flawless it was. The seemingly fragile woman who was dressed in a party dress and high heels was, as ...
