One of the marvels of modern life is that our cultural behavior still hasnt caught up to the pace and volume that were bombarded with. Human brains never had to consider the concept of trillions until the past hundred years or so, and were simply unprepared for it. One hundred? Sure. One million million? Its somewhere past 100 in the sense that Alpha Centauri is somewhere past Baltimore. The same holds for information. Our ability to filter information is predicated on our adeptness at finding patterns. Given a few things, we can figure out what they have in common, a handy way for our abnormally robust brains to fill in the blanks. But there arent ...

Is ours a government of the people, by the people, for the people, or a kakistocracy rather, for the benefit of knaves at the cost of fools? James Russell Lowell, 19th century American novelist Let us not mince words. We are living in an age of war profiteers. We are living in an age of scoundrels, liars, brutes and thugs. Many of them work for the U.S. government. We are living in an age of monsters. Ask Donald Trump. He knows all about monsters. Any government that leaves mothers and fathers, infants and children, thrashing in pain and gasping for air is evil and despicable, said President Trump, justifying his blatantly ...

A power-tripping police officer unlawfully detained, assaulted, threatened, and accosted an innocent railroad worker who would later report the incident only to watch the department cover it up.Walnut Ridge, AR With great power comes great responsibility, or so the quote goes. However, those who wield this great power over the public are often the ones who irresponsibly abuse this authority to inflict harm and oppress those they ostensibly protect. As the video below illustrates, this abuse of authority by power-tripping police officers lays waste to rights, puts innocent people in harms way, and is the antithesis to a free society. The taxpayers of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas ...

KDVR 31 News WASHINGTON The mayor of Washington, D.C., and a majority of the council are voicing support for letting 16-year-olds vote for president. Local media report that the measure would lower the voting age from 18 for both federal and local elections. Council approval would make the nations capital the first municipality to allow minors to vote in presidential contests, and the first major city to allow them to vote in local races. The Washington Post editorial board is in favor. A similar measure went nowhere when council member Charles Allen proposed it in 2015, but adults are changing their minds as young people nationwide mobilize for gun controls. It was ...

Why it's getting harder to tell "fake news" from real news Of course, that isn't real. It's a video created by comedian and Academy Award winner Jordan Peele, employing increasingly easy-to-use programs to demonstrate the coming age of nearly seamless "fake news" images. A couple months ago, when the Reddit user deepfakes first publicized his ability to swap anyone's face into porn, the reaction was swift and mostly univocal: This was a threat to the very universe! As the reliably alarmist Motherboard hyperventilated: An incredibly easy-to-use application for DIY fake videosof sex and revenge porn, but also political speeches and whatever else ...

Understanding the great American tax rip-off.The cable bill was the last straw, says Kristin Tate. "That's the one that really made me mad." Comcast included $36 in charges for mysterious things like "utility tax" and "government access fee." That motivated her to research obscure taxes and put what she learned in a new book, How Do I Tax Thee? A Field Guide to the Great American Rip-Off. Rip-off? Even limited government needs some taxes to fund basic functions. "Yes," says Tate. "But politicians are cowards. Instead of creating a tax, they magically create these little fees (so) they don't have to tell their voters they raised ...

It doesnt take a math whiz to know that the nation is headed toward a complete bankruptcy. But now, a new CBO (Congressional Budget Office) report released is ripping the mask off of the Republicans in Congress and showing us who they really are: Democrats. After the last horrifying budget deal which saw trillion dollar deficits, Republicans can no longer be called the party of being fiscally conservative. It appears that the Deep State will get their way regardless of who is in power, and theres nothing the rest of us can do about it. Last year the Congressional Budget Office warned that Uncle Sam was racing toward fiscal insolvency. Although the CBO expected the deficit ...

Ladies and gentlemen, it pains me to say this, but the evangelical base was swindled by Donald Trump and the globalists. We all know that the term, drain the swamp, had an impact on the election. The words galvanized voters. They stirred up an emotional response. Why? Because the words offer hope that corruption would be destroyed in Washington, DC. However, for Donald Trump, draining the swamp, was never a part of his plan. Nathan you are lying to us. No my friend, I am not lying. The proof is here. If you watch the video below, you will see that Im telling the truth. Trumps Puppet Master Invented the Slogan Trump did not invent the term. ...

Published on Apr 16, 2018 John Bolton recently stated that America will be in Tehran, Iran before 2019. In order for that to happen, it will require an American and NATO invasion with boots on the ground in Iran to conduct regime change. Donald J Trump is a war president! He has selected his war cabinet. And in the remaining minutes of America, the United States is going to return to the neoconservative doctrine of preemptive war, regime change, imperialism, and chaos. It is happening before our eyes. John Bolton oversaw the recent bombing in Syria. He is going to also oversee many military campaigns that are approaching, because ladies and gentlemen, this is just the beginning. False Flags ...

Two of America's biggest states, New York and California, keep police misconduct info secret. That's starting to change. It's easy to feel cynical after glancing at just a couple of the 1,800 New York Police Department (NYPD) disciplinary records published today by BuzzFeed. It's no fun to see cops losing a few vacation days for behavior that would have gotten you fired from your own job. But let's be happy that this database was published in the first place. The BuzzFeed files feature NYPD misconduct records from the years 2011 to 2015. The media outlet received the records through an anonymous source, and it worked painstakingly to verify their authenticity before ...

The president's controversial, unconstitutional, dumb Syria strikes are insaneand just might mean we can start talking seriously about politics again.Last week President Trump launched military strikes against Syria, as punishment for the Assad regime's apparent use of chemical weapons in its ongoing civil war. The actions were supplemented by leaders of France and Britain, who said the attacks are a protest against the use of chemical weapons, not a call for regime change. Trump, who only weeks ago was calling for the pulling of all U.S. troops from the region, said that the United States will "sustain this response until the Syrian regime stops its use of prohibited ...

U.S. stocks rallied on Monday, with major indexes gaining about 1% as optimism persisted over the first-quarter earnings season and as geopolitical tensions showed signs of fading. The reaction of the markets about the ease of international tensions is NOT about Trump or Jesus; it is about confidence of and about the world around us; for a while there I was worried, too.
