Organizations and lawmakers opposed to the health care reform package are getting their legal briefs in a bunch, threatening to challenge the constitutionality of the sweeping overhaul should it make its way to President Obama's desk. Republicans have agreed to allow the Democratic-led Senate to move up the time for a final vote to 8 a.m. Thursday so that lawmakers and their staff can go home for Christmas. ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A Delaware pediatrician is accused of molesting at least 16 patients, including some who appear to be no more than 6 months old, and police said the doctor used video cameras to record some of the brutal attacks in exam rooms. Dr. Earl B. Bradley, 56, was being held on $2.9 million bond Tuesday, said Sgt. Walter Newton, a Delaware State Police spokesman. Police believe there could be more victims. Two Pierce County Sheriff's deputies were shot shortly before 9 p.m. Monday night outside Eatonville, Detective Ed Troyer said. Both were in critical condition. (AP) Ford Motor Co. says it is offering buyout and early retirement incentives to all of its 41,000 U.S. hourly workers to further reduce its factory work force. Company spokesman Mark Truby said Ford still has too many factory workers for its current sales levels. He would not say how many workers the company wants to leave but said Ford is working that out with the United Auto Workers union. Ford currently has about 600 blue-collar workers laid off but available for recall. The buyout offer includes $50,000 cash plus a $25,000 car voucher or $20,000 more in cash. The retirement package includes $40,000 cash for skilled trades and $20,000 for production workers.

A former Fulton County Jail guard was arrested Friday on charges she hit an inmate in the head with a milk crate while the prisoner was handcuffed.
Denita Shaw, 41, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Gerrilyn Brill briefly Friday afternoon before she was released on a non-monetary bond.
According to a federal indictment returned Tuesday, Shaw attacked the inmate on Jan. 26 and “this assault violated the inmate’s constitutional right not to be deprived of liberty without due process.”
