Who Has the Solution for Unemployment? Post Date: 2009-12-20 11:32:32 by Abcdefg

The biggest political issue today and in the 2010 election is that one in six Americans are jobless. The political party that offers a solution has the best chance of victory but, so far, both parties just don't seem to get it. We are told that the unemployment rate is 10.2 percent, but that's only part of the problem. When you add discouraged Americans who have quit looking for a job, plus the underemployed (i.e., working only part-time while seeking full-time work), the figure rises to at least 17.5 percent. President Obama plunged America into incredible debt by telling us that his $787 billion Stimulus bill would "save or create" 3.5 million jobs. To borrow a phrase ...

If youre not out buying better Christmas gifts than you receive, or creating tens of thousands of jobs with sexy caulk and insulation, take a few minutes to cast your vote for the Obamateurism of the Week. Surely one of these will get your good, solid B-plus today. We dont want to use scare tactics on you, but if you dont vote, you may be on the precipice of something
good? 1. Obama warns Republicans to "stop trying to frighten the American people after a year of scare tactics 2. Obama gives himself a "good, solid B-plus" 3."We are on the precipice" 4.I have given some good gifts you get ...
Suicide Democrats: Earning the public's disgust Post Date: 2009-12-19 07:47:15 by borntoweardiamonds

Rushing to lock the nation into expensive health-care and climate-change commitments, Democrats are in an understandable frenzy because public enthusiasm for both crusades has been inversely proportional to the time the public has had to think about them. And the president pushing this agenda has seen his job-approval vary inversely with his ubiquity. Consider his busy December -- so far. His Dec. 1 Afghanistan speech to the nation was followed on Dec. 3 by his televised "jobs summit." His Dec. 8 televised economics speech at the Brookings Institution was followed on Dec. 10 by his televised Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech -- which was remarkable for 38 uses of the pronoun ...
Are Americans a Broken People? Post Date: 2009-12-16 22:38:31 by A K A Stone

Can people become so broken that truths of how they are being screwed do not "set them free" but instead further demoralize them? Has such a demoralization happened in the United States? Do some totalitarians actually want us to hear how we have been screwed because they know that humiliating passivity in the face of obvious oppression will demoralize us even further? What forces have created a demoralized, passive, dis-couraged U.S. population? Can anything be done to turn this around? Can people become so broken that truths of how they are being screwed do not "set them free" but instead further demoralize them? Yes. It is called the "abuse syndrome." ...

Oh my: It’s time to kill the Senate ObamaCare bill, says … Kos Post Date: 2009-12-14 22:55:54 by borntoweardiamonds

This is how the 2007 amnesty bill died, you may recall. It wasnt Republicans who killed it, it was Republicans plus big-labor Democrats plus a few pro-amnesty liberal Dems who thought the bill didnt go far enough. Ultimately, the 60-vote needle was simply too narrow to be threaded. And now here we are again. From Koss Twitter feed: Insurance companies win. Time to kill this monstrosity coming out of the Senate. Remember, the overwhelming nutroots CW to this point has been that something must be passed. What, precisely, gets passed is important but ultimately secondary to the task of passing something and thereby avoiding a reprise of the lefts 1994 post-HillaryCare ...
University of Chicago Students Respond to Obama Receiving Nobel Peace Prize (Amusing) Post Date: 2009-12-14 18:48:42 by borntoweardiamonds

Just wanted to share this video the University Republicans made in response to Obama accepting the Nobel Peace Prize. The group went around campus for a couple hours asking students what they "intend" to do to receive a Nobel Peace Prize; for their responses, students were given edible, chocolate Prizes. :-) We wanted to make a serious and entertaining policy critique while showing the various student responses. There are some student responses at the beginning; then a hypocrisy-and-inaction montage of news clips; then back to student responses after Professor Pape's commentary at 3:13. This video is great as it shows many left-leaning students recognizing the ludicrous ...
Obama Inherited Bush Successes Post Date: 2009-12-14 14:16:53 by dont eat that

In case youve been on another planet for the last ten months, you know that President Obamas standard answer for the economic meltdown, and his anemic prescription to fix it, has been that the blame rests wholly on his predecessor. I inherited this has been Obamas mantra from day one of his Presidency with regard to any problem he encounters. In a revealing testament to President Obamas true character, last week when he and his administration touted the success of the TARP program and how banks were paying back their bailout money with interest he never once gave credit to the President responsible for the TARP program. Likewise, when it ...
The HNIC refuses to celebrate Christmas in White House: A first ever. Post Date: 2009-12-13 09:43:30 by dont eat that

Could it be that it goes against his Muslim Faith? A survey of adult Americans finds that an overwhelming majority prefer the seasonal expression "Merry Christmas." More than seven out of ten, in fact. Twenty-two percent, according to Rasmussen Reports, go for "Happy Holidays." However, the Obamas, who won't spend their first December holidays in the White House, apparently don't like either one. The Obamas have just mailed thousands of greeting cards that say simply, "Season's Greetings." They're cream-colored, maroon-bordered cards showing a gold wreath wrapped around the presidential coat of arms. The Obamas' card, paid for by the ...
What Has Obama Accomplished? [Full Thread] Post Date: 2009-12-12 01:55:59 by WhiteSands

By Nancy Morgan Friday, December 11, 2009 Making the rounds of conservative talk shows lately is the question, What has Obama accomplished so far? The question is asked of of Obama supporters and the answers range from abolishing lobbyists to securing world peace to lowering taxes. One thing all answers have in common: They are all grounded in perception as opposed to reality. Obama has accomplished the amazing feat of convincing millions of Americans that black is white, that cold is hot, that the bad economy is the fault of George W Bush, and the only things standing between America and peace on earth are those darn Republicans and greedy ...
John Thune: The GOP's Answer to Obama? Post Date: 2009-12-11 08:27:12 by sneakypete

While names like Palin, Romney and Huckabee get most of the attention when it comes to 2012 presidential speculation, a dark horse may be rising out of the Great Plains. South Dakota Sen. John Thune has $5.5 million in the bank, a handsome face, hoop skills that rival the president's and an upward trajectory in the U.S. Senate. Despite failing at a 2008 bid to head the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), Thune was able to take control of the Republican Policy Committee after Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) fell from grace. Get the new PD toolbar! He's not widely known nationally, which is both an obvious obstacle and perhaps a blessing in disguise: The national media has ...
Profiles of Nationalist Leaders around the World: Joe Arpaio Post Date: 2009-12-10 20:13:02 by Thor

Joseph M. "Joe" Arpaio (born June 14, 1932) is an American law enforcement officer, and the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona. Arpaio, who promotes himself as "America's Toughest Sheriff,"[1][2] has become controversial for his approach to operating the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. He has a large number of vocal supporters as well as opponents. Arpaio continues to earn the support of Maricopa County voters who reelected him sheriff by double-digit margins in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. In 2007 a petition to recall Arpaio from office failed to gain enough voter signatures to get on the ballot. His practices have been criticized by organizations such as ...

The revelations went from every day to every hour after Eldrick Tont Woods slammed his Escalade into that fire hydrant and tree during Thanksgiving Weekend. Now there isn't a nanosecond that passes without something else happening in the suddenly endless soap opera called As The Tiger Goes From Roaring to Purring. This feels like that O.J. thing. Not only that, the coverage of Michael Vick's dogfighting issues was in the vicinity of white Broncos, bloody gloves and Johnny Cochran. To a lesser extent, there were those controversies for the Keeping It Real King named Allen Iverson, otherwise known as A.I., or The Answer, or just plain trouble, especially since he wasn't ...

America Still Needs the Neocons Post Date: 2009-12-09 20:49:03 by Racism_Boot

Neoconservatism: can there be a label more reviled? Condemned abroad, blamed for Iraq and Katrina, neoconservatism would seem dead and buried. But not only will neoconservatism return, it remains the best hope for balanced two-party democracy in the United States. The American right that has emerged since 2008, of Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, is a movement of cultural protest. But protest is not enough. Americans won't reject even a badly damaged incumbent unless they see a credible alternative. Neoconservatism's mission from the start has been to create such an alternative. As the late Irving Kristol wrote in 2003, "[T]he historical task of neoconservatism [is] to convert ...

What Do Barack Obama and Levi Johnston Have in Common? Gregory of Yardale Saw this item about how Levi Johnston has become a gay icon about the same time I saw Van's Merry Hunter's post about Tiger Woods and Barack Obama, and something clicked. Both of these guys have an awful lot in common in terms of being celebrated by the progressive left, and in the reasons for which they are celebrated: 1. Both are celebrated by the progressive left despite a conspicuous lack of real accomplishments. 2. Barack Obama was abandoned by his father, Levi Johnston abandoned his son. It all gets back to the leftist celebration of sex as a consequence-free recreational activity: The progressive ...
Obama Not Cutting It On The Economy Post Date: 2009-12-09 03:15:37 by WhiteSands

Much like Wednesday was once Prince Spaghetti Day, Tuesday is fast becoming political juggling day for the Obama administration. In his Afghanistan speech last week, the president struggled to keep his dueling objectives (surging but not staying) in the air without crashing into each other. In Tuesday's speech re-setting his economic policy, the president similarly strained to sate the left's demands for more spending on job creation to deal with the unnerving unemployment numbers and the center's demands for more fiscal restraint to deal with the exploding debt. By typical Washington standards, the economic balancing act was executed more deftly. Unlike the confusing ...

The next slogan could easily be "6 Million More" This poster has called for Slitting Jews throats. For Nuking Jews. That the Jews should all be killed save a few self hating jews Now this pitifully evil human being thinks it would be funny to murder 6 million jews. This poster is trying to make this site a nazi site. Do the people here support this evil statement by this evil person?
Poster Comment:Since this person is for murdering jews. Wouldn't it be funny if one killed this person first? I don't condone that or want that to happen but it would be poetic justice.
Roubini: “When Governments Reach the Point Where They Are Borrowing to Pay the Interest on Their Borrowing They Are ... Running a Ponzi Scheme" Post Date: 2009-08-31 07:25:14 by A K A Stone

In a new essay in Forbes, Nouriel Roubini writes: Net public debt is going to double as a share of GDP between 2008 and 2014. Even using the very optimistic forecasts of the Congressional Budget Office, which anticipate growth of around 4% over the next few years, the net debt burden will rise from 40% of GDP to 80%--that's an increase in the debt stock of about $9 trillion. The interest charge alone on that increased debt will be in the region of $300 billion to $400 billion a year, which in turn may mean more borrowing to pay the interest if primary deficits are not reduced. When governments reach the point where they are borrowing to pay the interest on their borrowing they are ...
Nixon Is Suddenly Our Hero Post Date: 2009-08-29 15:29:28 by A K A Stone

Nixon had Teddy tailed so that he could catch him doing what he did best, which is knocking off women and being a playboy, while simultaneously portraying himself as some kind of American hero of the political left. Listen to the tape of Nixon talking about Kennedy and his jet set friends here. I hate to break the news to everyone, but Teddy was nothing but a playboy, who masqueraded his lifestyle in politics. And in order to bolster his case, Teddy hung out with the far left in the entertainment world, which was back then the cornerstone of the leftist movement in America. You see, they had an agenda to sell to everyone of one world without borders and in which everyone is the ...

Eventually, we had a complete failure of the system and it shut down. Our Sysop went in and due to access time costs was only able to jerry-rig a new fan, and we crossed our fingers that no permanent damage had impacted the ...
