Trump: I'll be Vladimir Putin's 'worst enemy' if US-Russia relationship 'doesn't work out'

President Donald Trump vowed in an interview with CNBC that if his dealings with Russian leader Vladimir Putin don't "work out, I'll be the worst enemy he's ever had." But he also said that, "Getting along with President Putin, getting along with Russia is postive, not a negative," Trump said. Trump blasted his predecessor, President Barack Obama, for having been a "patsy for Russia" — while claiming he has been "far tougher on Russia than any president in many, many years." The great dollar dump: Russia liquidates US Treasury holdings

Russia is continuing to diversify state reserves away from US debt. The latest data from the US Treasury shows that Russia's share hit an 11-year minimum and totaled only $14.9 billion. The share of US sovereign debt bonds in Russia's portfolio has been reduced dramatically in recent months. Russia held $96.1 billion in US Treasuries in March before selling half its holdings in April, dropping to 22nd place among major foreign holders of American treasury securities at $48.7 billion. In 2010, Russia was among the top 10 holders of US Treasuries at $176.3 billion. With its holdings falling to $14.9 billion in May, the country is now below the $30 billion threshold for inclusion on ...

First Win for Trump-Putin Summit: Agreement to Restrain Iran in Syria Joel B. Pollack Breitbart 18 Jul 2018 President Donald Trump has been criticized by the media and by Beltway politicians of both parties for his meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on Monday. But the summit has already produced a very significant win: namely, agreement to avoid a war in the Middle East by restraining Iran in Syria. As Breitbart News columnist Caroline Glick noted last month, it was crucial that Trump confront Putin over Syria, because Russia was about to allow Iranian and Hezbollah soldiers, dressed in Syrian uniforms, to move into southwestern Syria along the border with Israel ...

resident Donald Trump says he meant the opposite when he said in Helsinki that he doesn't see why Russia would have interfered in the 2016 U.S. elections. Back at the White House on Tuesday, the president told reporters that he said he meant he doesn't see why Russia "wouldn't" be responsible. He also said he accepts the American intelligence community's conclusion that Russia interfered in the election, but he denied that his campaign had colluded in the effort. Click for Full Text!

Trump calls off Cold War II

- WND - http://www.wnd.com - Trump calls off Cold War II Posted By Patrick J. Buchanan On 07/16/2018 @ 7:03 pm Beginning his joint press conference with Vladimir Putin, President Trump declared that U.S. relations with Russia have “never been worse.” He then added pointedly, that just changed “about four hours ago.” It certainly did. With his remarks in Helsinki and at the NATO summit in Brussels, Trump has signaled a historic shift in U.S. foreign policy that may determine the future of this nation and the fate of his presidency. He has rejected the fundamental premises of American foreign policy since the end of the Cold War and blamed our wretched relations ...

‘Palestinian’ Man Skates Murder Charge for Stabbing Israeli Woman in Back, Sentenced on Assault

A “Palestinian” man was just sentenced to 14 years in prison for his 2015 stabbing of an Israeli woman in the back. But the victim says justice was not done. Why? Nirit Zamora speaks to reporters inside the Judea Military Court beside her husband ahead of the sentencing of her attacker. The stabber, Hamza Faiz, was only charged with aggravated assault, not attempted murder. The Times of Israel has more: A military court on Monday sentenced a Palestinian man to 14 years in prison for stabbing an Israeli woman in the back at a West Bank junction in 2015. The case became controversial after the assailant, Hebron resident Hamza Faiz, was charged with aggravated assault and not ...

Trump Is Right to Meet Putin

Trump Is Right to Meet Putin America needs fewer enemies. What’s wrong with reducing tensions? By SEN. RAND PAUL July 16, 2018 President Donald Trump meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin today, days after meeting with our NATO allies in Europe. Both meetings are important, and both cause confusion among politicians and those who report on them back home. Foreign policy is difficult. It comes in many shades of gray, and those who treat it as a team sport do harm to our safety and to our politics. Politicizing international affairs is a dangerous game, but that hasn’t stopped far too many in Washington, who seem to have forgotten that a vital part of keeping America safe ...

I am going to get to some specifics about the summit in a moment, but let's begin with the big picture. President Trump said in his news conference that our relationship has never been worse, but that changed a few hours ago. How has the relationship, big-picture, between the U.S. and Russia changed today? RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN: Primarily, I think we should be grateful to our staff and our aides who spent several last months working with one another and not just in the preparations of ...

Once Again, President Trump Is Magnificently Right—This Time About Russia By David P. Goldman PJ Media July 16, 2018 President Trump offended the entire political spectrum with a tweet this morning blaming the U.S. for poor relations with Russia. “Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity,” the president said, and he is entirely correct. By this I do not mean to say that Russia is a beneficent actor in world affairs or that President Putin is an admirable world leader. Nonetheless, the president displayed both perspicacity and political courage when he pointed the finger at the United States for mismanaging ...

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., blasted President Trump for his comments during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday afternoon, and called it "one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president" in his lifetime. McCain said in a statement that the summit with Putin was a "tragic mistake" that showed off Trump's "naivete" and "egotism." He also said Trump "proved" that he is unable to stand up to the Russian president. “Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory," McCain said. Reality vs Fantasy: President Trump warns Europe is ‘losing its culture’ by allowing ‘millions and millions’ of migrants, PM Theresa May praises their’ fantastic contribution’

While Theresa May clings to the idea just by saying something (and having it repeated incessantly by a sharia-compliant media), then it will be so. But reality has a nasty way of shattering delusions. The fact is that mass Muslim migration into Europe has been a disaster. The continent is in a perpetual state of impending terror — London, Nice, Berlin, Paris, etc. It is a security state. And no less than 50% of British Muslim males and 70% of females are on welfare and entitlements. NATO’s Problem Is that Europeans Won’t Fight

President Trump outraged European opinion by denouncing his allies on the far side of the Atlantic for their failure to meet NATO’s spending target of 2% of GDP. Other alliance members, he added, should spend 4% of their output on defense, just like America does. His dudgeon at the Europeans was more than justified: the Europeans really are deadbeats who don’t pay their fair share of the cost of defending their own countries and leave the burden in the hands of American soldiers and taxpayers. Trump’s remonstrations will fall on deaf ears. Why should Europeans spend money on arms, when they have no intention of using them? A recent opinion poll found that small minorities in ...

Trump now wants NATO allies to spend 4 percent of GDP on defense
Post Date: 2018-07-11 21:28:40 by Tooconservative

President Trump is suggesting that NATO allies double their military spending goal to 4 percent of their gross domestic product, the White House confirmed on Wednesday. Trump previously pressed members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to raise their spending to 2 percent by 2024. Most NATO nations spend less than 2 percent of their GDP on military programs, though the U.S. spends more. Trump has argued the U.S. effectively subsidizes its allies' defense. The new 4 percent goal was initially disclosed by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, a supporter of the idea, following a meeting with Trump, and was later confirmed by White House press secretary Sarah Sanders. “During ...

The Muslim invasion of France has made it dangerous for Jews. And they have been forced to flee in record numbers. The French authorities say they will fight antisemitism, but in reality, Jews have nowhere to turn. Going to the police is futile. They do not respond. I receive regular correspondence from French Jews who describe the deteriorating conditions for Jews in France. Every day is filled with small terrors. And despite the daily horrors, the perps, their ideology is scrubbed, censored, respected and protected. Islam must always and in all cases be protected. “French Court Convicts Antisemitic Gang for Brutal Robbery, Rape of Jewish Couple in 2014,” by Ben Cohen, ...

Angela’s ashes: Merkel’s grand project is crumbling

‘This is not about whether Mrs Merkel stays as chancellor next week or not,’ said Xavier Bettel, the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, as he came out of an emergency summit on immigration last weekend. He was joking. That was exactly what the meeting had been about, and everybody there knew it. The summit was Operation Save Mutti. Their mission: to stop Merkel’s government collapsing by thrashing out a tough stance on immigration to assuage her critics. It’s quite a turnaround. Once, Merkel was queen of Europe, now she’s a beggar. Suddenly, European politics has changed beyond recognition. Merkel may, by now, regret standing for re-election last year. There was a ...

THE COLD WAR isn't over for Anatoly Golitsyn. Since last summer's failed coup in Moscow, he has been churning out memos for the CIA, warning them of what he regards as the true import of the tumultuous events taking place in the former Soviet Union. It is all "pretense," he says -- an elaborate exercise in strategic deception, designed to gull the West into embracing what is still an evil empire, still run behind the scenes by communist ideologues. Mikhail Gorbachev is in on the scheme. And so, too, says Golitsyn, is Boris Yeltsin. "At the end, when they win," Golitsyn declares, "they {will} get rid of capitalists forever." Golitsyn, you may ...

‘Dystopia’ in Chinese Surveillance Looks a Lot Like US Surveillance

(FAIR) — There’s a category of story we call “Them Not Us”—US media reporting on problems abroad, and seemingly not noticing that they have the same problems at home. There’s a great example of that in the New York Times (7/8/18), headlined “Inside China’s Dystopian Dreams: AI, Shame and Lots of Cameras.” In China, the New York Times (7/8/18) sees facial recognition as a sign of dystopia; in the West, the Times (7/9/18) reports on Amazon‘s promotion of the same technology as a “reputational risk.” Reporter Paul Mozur writes: “Beijing is embracing technologies like facial recognition and artificial ...

Trump says Germany 'is captive to Russia' in fiery opening salvo against NATO

BRUSSELS — President Trump unleashed a blistering attack Wednesday on Germany and other NATO allies, wasting no time to take the offensive before a week of high-stakes diplomacy on both sides of the former Cold War divide. The series of meetings — beginning with NATO and capped by a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin — has been largely framed around Trump’s claims that Washington bears an unfair burden to help protect its allies. “Germany, as far as I’m concerned, is captive to Russia because it’s getting so much of its energy from Russia,” Trump told NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in a fiery on-camera exchange that was ...

It’s a first 100 days in office that might have made Franklin D. Roosevelt’s head spin. Abiy Ahmed Ali, the 41-year-old former intelligence officer who was elected prime minister in early April, has hit the ground sprinting, African analysts say, bringing vitality and movement to one of the continent’s biggest countries. A short list of his moves to date includes the release of thousands of political prisoners and the lifting of other political restrictions, ending a state of emergency imposed by his predecessor, initiating a historic diplomatic outreach to neighboring Eritrea, and announcing plans to privatize key state industries such as aviation and energy. Since he ...

U.S. Seeks to Thwart Iran Flying Millions in Cash Out of Germany [Trump at NATO summit]

Top Trump administration officials are working to stop Germany from allowing Iran to fly more than $350 million in cash out of the country and back to Tehran as part of a bid by the Iranian regime to restock its coffers ahead of a major financial crackdown by America, according to conversations with senior U.S. diplomats and officials on Capital Hill. The Trump administration is already working to stop the German government from allowing this transfer following weekend reports that Iran is poised to fly around 300 million Euros out of the country as part of an ongoing scheme to skirt tough new U.S. economic sanctions, which were put back into effect after President Donald Trump decided to ...
