A German Protestant pastor named Quinton Ceasar stated that "God is queer" and that "black lives always matter" in a speech at the German Protestant Church Assembly (Kirchentag) last week. "Now is the time to say: Black lives always matter. Now is the time to say God is queer. Now is the time to say: We leave no one to die. An ELCA pastor is publicly stating that he is going to preach "against" the Word of God at his church service. The only surprise here is that he is admitting it. ELCA pastor Clint Schnekloth writes, "this Sunday I plan to preach AGAINST the text. I do so in solidarity with the millions around the world who have been the targets of this non-reciprocal and colonial discipling."

The response from law enforcement came after several weeks of outrage leading up to the team's 10th annual Pride Night at Dodger Stadium. Robert Bowers was found guilty by a jury on all charges Friday after he went to a Jewish synagogue in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and shot 11 people to death in 2018, according to ABC News. Bowers tried to negotiate with prosecutors to take the death penalty off the table if he pleaded guilty but was denied, according to ABC News. Circuit ruled Friday that the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) had no legal basis to rely on pessimistic statistical models to justify imposing costly federal regulations onto lobster fisheries and lobstermen.
