A super political action committee (PAC), founded by former President Trump, is expected to disclose its spending more than $40 million in legal bills. Sources told The Washington Post that the PAC, Save America, is expected to disclose the sum, $40.2 million, in a filing Monday. The sum is more than any other expense the Trump-led PAC has incurred in its 2024 presidential campaign, also more than what the campaign raised during the second quarter of 2023, according to federal filings. Giuliani Admits His Oft-Told Tale of Georgia Election Fraud Was Not True
Post Date: 2023-07-31 20:26:33 by Charles_Byrd

Late Friday night, a federal judge in Florida tossed a lawsuit in which former President Donald Trump argued that CNN had defamed him by labeling his stolen-election fantasy "the Big Lie." A few days earlier in a different defamation case, Rudy Giuliani, who as Trump's lawyer helped propagate the claim that systematic fraud delivered the White House to Joe Biden, belatedly admitted that he had falsely and repeatedly accused two Georgia election workers of participating in that imaginary conspiracy. Whatever you think of the notion that people have a right to protect their reputations in court, the conjunction of those two developments starkly illustrates the difference ...

Religious groups are backing a push for the Supreme Court to reverse precedent that gives deference to agency interpretations of laws, arguing that the nearly four-decades old ruling has been the impetus for several church-state conflicts. The Supreme Court will hear a case next term, Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, that challenges “Chevron deference,” a legal doctrine rooted in a 1984 precedent that instructs courts to defer to administrative agency interpretations of laws when the language is ambiguous. While the Loper Bright case stems from family-owned fishing companies’ fight against an agency requiring them to pay the salaries of state-mandated observers onboard ...

The leader of Israel's parliamentary opposition on Sunday demanded that the government freeze its judicial overhaul for 18 months if it wants to resume negotiations on a consensus formula for the changes. Last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing coalition pushed through the first elements of an overhaul of Israel's judiciary, seeking to restrict judges from challenging some government decisions. The moves have triggered months of demonstrations among Israeli opponents. Click for Full Text!

Prominent Unrepentant Gay Man from SBC Church Plugs His Gay Bible Study’s Good Deeds

First Baptist Church Orlando is a 14,000-member Southern Baptist megachurch led by David Uth that continues its quest to brazenly and flagrantly violate scripture. Years ago they infamously offered a full- blown ecumenical statement devoid of any Gospel truth and antithetical to the teachings of scripture by highlighting how many illegal immigrants, pro-choice democrats, and LGBTQ folk were ‘serving’ in his church. Last year they knowingly baptized Joe Mills, an out-and-out gay, unrepentant gay man, who is ‘married’ to his ‘husband’ and has been leading a small group of FBCO congregants in a bible study for the past few years, with the knowledge of Pastor ...

The recent House Judiciary Committee on July 27 saw a heated confrontation centered on censorship complaints against Big Tech, with particular emphasis on perceived incursions on rights to free speech. The remarks came from Rep. Mike Johnson (R-AL) as he confronted DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, addressing concerns regarding repeated instances of government-led censorship primarily targeting conservative views on several Big Tech platforms. The crux of the dispute arose when Johnson questioned Mayorkas’ stance on alleged “misinformation” online. He challenged the DHS Secretary’s viewpoint, arguing that it could lead to chilling effects on constitutionally guaranteed ...

Lawmakers Pass Key Part Of Netanyahu's Sweeping Judicial Overhaul As Protesters Seek To Blockade Knesset

Following almost 30 weeks of some of the largest protests Israel has seen in its history, Israeli lawmakers on Monday passed a key part of the Netanyahu government's ultra-controversial overhaul plan which will see the independent judiciary severely weakened. It is being widely called the biggest and most far-reaching shake-up to the Israeli system, and the judiciary in particular, since 1948. The 'Reasonableness bill' passed with 64 votes in favor and 0 against, given that opposition members of the Knesset boycotted the final vote in protest, as raging demonstrators took over streets, in many cases blocking roadways and city centers across the country. Protesters tried to ...

How's this as a consequence of radical leftist policies that coddle society's troublemakers? As of Sunday, the San Diego Union-Tribune ran a Page One above-the-fold story by Paul Sisson headlined "Hospitals in County Look for Ways to Cut Attacks on Workers," which is an important story indeed because it points to the consequences to innocent hospital workers of constantly coddling bums, illegals, drug addicts and criminals, all of whom were named as perpetrators in the piece.
