Americans Against Antisemitism (AAA) released a report revealing that 97% of hate crimes against Jews in New York between 2018 and 2022 were committed by other minority groups. AAA’s report was first posted on AAA founder Dov Hikind’s Twitter account Wednesday. The report documented 194 cases of assault against Jews from April 2018 to August 2022, and, in 99 of those assaults, official reports included the ethnicity of the perpetrator revealing 97% were committed by other minorities. $3.5 billion seized by regulator from FTX to 'safeguard' it

The Securities Commission of The Bahamas announced late Thursday that it had seized $3.5 billion worth of crypto assets from bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, formerly owned and headed by disgraced billionaire and Democratic mega-donor Sam Bankman-Fried. FTX lost nearly half a billion dollars in a suspected hack on Nov. 11, with the attack beginning just hours after it filed for bankruptcy in the U.S., CNBC reported. The regulator decided to seize the assets on Nov. 12 because they believed there was a “significant risk” they might be stolen or otherwise dissipated, apparently based on information from Bankman- Fried regarding the alleged hacking incident, according to ...

Big Brother in the Big Apple

“Big Brother is protecting you.” That is a quote from New York City Mayor Eric Adams in a Saturday article at Politico. Adams made the comment in defense of the extensive web of high-tech surveillance his city government deploys against people in America’s most populous city, as well as the mayor’s desire to expand the surveilling. Such a comment is very disturbing for any liberty loving individual who has a basic understanding of George Orwell’s novel from which the “Big Brother” mention is derived as well as the amazing capability of the surveillance technology available to governments nowadays. NYC Electric Garbage Truck Plans Hit Wall After Trucks "Conked Out" Plowing Snow After Just Four Hours

In a move that absolutely nobody could have seen coming, New York City is scrapping its brilliant idea for electric garbage trucks after finding out the truck simply “aren’t powerful enough to plow snow”. The pipe dream of converting the city’s 6,000 garbage trucks from gas to electric in order to try and limit carbon emissions (because there’s no other problems that need to be dealt with in New York City right now) is “clashing with the limits of electric-powered vehicles,” Gothamist wrote this week. New York City Mayor Eric Adams Wants You to Love Big Brother

There's a common type of government official who sincerely believes the world would be better and their suffering subjects much happier if the restraints were removed and politicians were free to act as they wish. That their sincere belief in their goodness is exactly why we need those restraints always escapes them. The latest example of the breed is New York City Mayor Eric Adams who, unironically, urges his constituents to embrace the surveillance state because "Big Brother is protecting you." What the Southwest Meltdown Means for Airline Policy
Post Date: 2022-12-30 17:55:59 by Charles_Byrd

In the wake of the Christmas 2022 breakdown of airline service, politicians and consumer advocates are calling for tougher antitrust policy and even the re-regulation of U.S. airlines. While a once-in-a- generation blizzard encompassing about three-quarters of the continental U.S. would obviously disrupt air (and rail and highway) travel, especially over a major holiday weekend, most airlines recovered pretty well from this unprecedented storm. But not Southwest. With outdated flight- and crew-scheduling technology, the popular lower-cost airline melted down, stranding huge numbers of holiday travelers. To get planes and crews to where they need to be to restore normal service, Southwest ...

Libertarian Radio Host Ian Freeman Convicted for Helping People Buy Bitcoin
Post Date: 2022-12-30 17:54:15 by Charles_Byrd

Ian Freeman believes he is, as a minister for the Shire Free Church in Keene, New Hampshire, a force for creating a more peaceful and just world. He thinks using and selling bitcoin is a key part of his ministry. As he said on a recent episode of his nationally syndicated radio show Free Talk Live, "I felt my calling to do this mission, to spread peace, and ultimately what bitcoin is doing is undermining the warmonger state. The more dollars are out of circulation, the more disempowered that state is." Freeman—not the last name he was born with—moved to New Hampshire from Florida in 2006 as an early participant in the Free State Project (FSP) because he wanted to help ...

New York Times Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Reject Terms Like ‘Chestfeeding,’ ‘Latinx’

Americans whole-heartedly reject several woke terms created by radical leftists to control ideas and dialogue, the New York Post reported, citing a recent poll from the far-left New York Times. The New York Post Editorial Board on Wednesday pointed to the Times’ online quiz and accompanying poll of 4,000 adults as evidence that “the majority of Americans are not on board with this effort to warp the language to ideological ends.” Some of the jilted words include “chestfeeding,” “birthing parent,” and “Latinx.” Click for Full Text!

Biden administration doubles down on abortion-for-all agenda

One of Joe Biden's highest priorities during his term in the Oval Office has been to promote abortion. He's even, in the face of the Supreme Court overturning Roe, insisted that he can change the "rules" for hospitals nationwide and demand they violate state laws to do abortion. Click for Full Text!

Homeless Man Deemed Whitmer Kidnapping Plot 'Ringleader' Sentenced to 16 Years in Prison

Adam Fox, the homeless man the feds framed as the "ringleader" of the FBI- led plot to "kidnap" Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, was sentenced to 16 years in prison on Tuesday. The feds were asking for Fox to be given a life sentence but the judge -- despite being totally biased in favor of the prosecution -- seems to have been uncomfortable with giving him life in prison just for political gain. The “Unseen Effects” of California’s New Minimum-Wage Law

French economic journalist and satirist Frédéric Bastiat, widely known for his sarcastic opposition to protectionism, observed in the mid-1840s, “In the economic sphere an act, a habit, an institution, a law produces not only one effect, but a series of effects. Of these effects, the first alone is immediate; it appears simultaneously with its cause; it is seen. The other effects emerge only subsequently; they are not seen; we are fortunate if we foresee them.” Click for Full Text!

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is offering up to $50,000 for information leading to an arrest after a deadly Christmas evening hit- and- run during an illegal street takeover. A driver doing donuts in a circling contest against other drivers during the street takeover in the area of Los Angeles’ Hyde Park neighborhood lost control and went into a crowd of watching pedestrians, killing Elyzza Guajaca and striking other individuals, Detective Ryan Moreno said at a Wednesday press conference covered by Fox 11 Los Angeles. Two other vehicles also participated in the contest, Moreno reported, and an up to $50,000 is available to community members for information leading to the ...

New Report Details Media Malfeasance Regarding Climate Change

If you happen to believe that much of the hype surrounding so-called climate change is manufactured by an agenda-driven mass media, you’re not alone. A new report created by the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), the Heartland Institute, and other climate realism groups presents several examples of media hyperbole in regard to the climate-change narrative currently being pushed by globalist entities such as the United Nations. Climate Fact Check 2022 details just a few instances of how mainstream media exaggerates weather events, making them seem unprecedented or historical when the actual truth is far different. Congress and the Federal Reserve Could Be Setting Us Up for Economic Disaster
Post Date: 2022-12-29 21:13:42 by Charles_Byrd

In the final week of 2022, we Americans can foresee two significant economic risks in 2023. The first one is a probability that the Federal Reserve will get weak-kneed and stop raising interest rates before inflation is truly under control. The second risk is that Congress will continue to spend and borrow money irresponsibly. The likely mix of these two hazards would all but ensure that our economic misery lasts much longer than necessary. Let's start with the first risk. In theory, to tame inflation, the Fed will need to push real interest rates not only high—as it has already done—but higher than the highest rate that the Fed is now targeting, and in fact much higher than ...

Wealthy Connecticut Residents Received Millions in Federal Dollars After Hurricane Sandy
Post Date: 2022-12-29 21:11:42 by Charles_Byrd

After the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Congress apportioned over $50 billion for disaster relief. Among that total was $16 billion for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)'s Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery program (CDBG-DR). The state of Connecticut received $159 million. CDBG-DR is intended primarily to help people with lower incomes respond to disasters. But a new Politico investigation reveals that as low-income areas in Connecticut remained in disrepair after the storm, generous reimbursements and low-interest loans went to wealthy homeowners who, on paper, should not have even qualified. Ending her anonymity, Libs of TikTok creator slams trans grooming of kids

Chaya Raichik, the conservative woman behind the hugely popular "Libs of TikTok" Twitter account that exposes "groomers" of innocent children using activist-teachers' own video recordings, has entered a new stage in her fight for American culture by revealing her face and identity to the world. Eight months after being "doxxed" by a Washington Post hit-piece that revealed her name and exposed her private address, Raichik sat down for an hour-long interview with Tucker Carson on his eponymous show on the Fox Nation streaming site. In the exchange, which aired Tuesday, Raichik explained the powerful, dark forces that are leading many children (and their ...

In passing the $1.7 trillion spending bill that Biden has promised to sign into law shortly, 18 Republican senators (all of whom claim on their websites that they support the Second Amendment) joined with every Senate Democrat in passing the monstrous, pork-laden, and anti-Second Amendment 2023 Omnibus Appropriations Act. After being approved by the Senate by a 68-29 vote, the bill moved to the House, where Democrats quickly passed it. Biden has confirmred that he will sign it. Click for Full Text!

Blaming Extreme Cold on Global Warming: N.Y. Gov. Hochul Faults Climate Change for Christmas Storm

The violent winter storm that has ravaged much of the lower 48 states over the Christmas holiday has claimed dozens of lives. At least one politician — New York Governor Kathy Hochul — is blaming climate change, which used to be referred to as global warming, for the deadly weather. Buffalo, New York, has been hit particularly hard by the wicked winter weather. As of this writing, at least 31 people have died in Erie County, which encompasses the Buffalo area, with the death toll expected to rise. Many of the dead have been found stranded in their homes, in vehicles, on the streets, and even in frozen in snow banks. Click for Full Text!

In a blistering December 20 statement, the Kansas Catholic Conference denounced Planned Parenthood for the “despicable act” of bypassing physicians in order to sell abortion drugs directly to women without medical supervision. According to the Conference, “The Telemedicine Act had required an attending physician be present in person when the two-part abortion pill protocol was prescribed. The in-person attending physician provision is no longer in effect, placing women’s health in danger.” Click for Full Text!

A Former Obama Drug Policy Adviser Blames 'Libertarianism' for 'Fueling San Francisco's Drug Crisis'
Post Date: 2022-12-28 22:58:47 by Charles_Byrd

The problem with San Francisco, according to Stanford University psychologist* Keith Humphreys, is too much "libertarianism." Since the City by the Bay is not exactly known for light governance, that may seem counterintuitive. But Humphreys, who was a senior White House adviser on drug policy during the Obama administration, has in mind something closer to libertinism, which he says has long characterized San Francisco's culture. In a San Francisco Chronicle op- ed piece published on Tuesday, he blames excessive tolerance of vice, which he equates with libertarianism, for "fueling San Francisco's drug crisis." That analysis is doubly wrong. Humphreys ...
