Obama going out ugly Post Date: 2012-10-28 17:24:50 by A K A Stone

The last wretched and pathetic week of the Obama campaign reminds me of the final wimpy gasps of the campaign of Michael Dukakis back in 2008 when dwindling numbers of left-wing Democrats gathered around Hollywood actors. In a sort of be-in experience, they could be heard moaning about how "frightened" they were for the future. Now we have Obama's top 1%er friends over at the mega Ad Agency Goodby Silverstein creating a commercial in which they employ children to sing a "We are the World" type ditty asking us to: "Imagine an America Where strip mines are fun and free. Where gays can be fixed And sick people just die and oil fills the sea." Here in Boston, ...

The TRUE Heart of President Obama Post Date: 2012-10-27 10:05:55 by A K A Stone

When it comes right down to it, President Obama is lawless in the majority of ALL his doings. Behind that media crafted image OF compassion, godless euphemisms and great intellect, lies a godless, cold, vindictive, narcissistic relativist and reprobate only interested in destroying anything that has to do with the laws of nature and of natures God (Rom. 1:18-32, Jude 1:10). President Obama is anti constitutional, anti founding fathers, anti morality, anti life, anti conservative, anti business, anti capitalist, anti Judeo/ Christian values, anti Bible and thus anti Almighty God (Rom. 1:18-32). He is pro abortion, pro partial birth abortion, pro homosexuality, pro secular agenda, pro 60 ...
Election Night Surprise: Why Minnesota Will Turn Red on November 6 Post Date: 2012-10-21 23:07:15 by A K A Stone

Minnesota has crept into the news cycle recently with senior campaign surrogates stumping in the state and campaign dollars flowing to a state once thought out of reach for Republicans this cycle. I received a lot of push-back over my conclusion regarding Minnesotas competitiveness based on Rochester, Minnesota being a top 10 ad market this week. Upon closer inspection, however, the evidence keeps piling up that the Land of 10,000 Lakes should be on everyones radar for an election night surprise. The latest is a poll released yesterday from SurveyUSA gives President Obama a 10-point lead over Mitt Romney, 50 to 40. Romney leads by 3-points among Independents 45 to 42 with 4% ...
Neocon Chickenhawk War Mongers Want To Get Their Wars On Again Post Date: 2012-10-21 13:43:59 by Brian S

The attempts by the Neocon chickenhawks in the right-wing noise machine, e.g., Charles Krauthammer, as well as by super-chicken Vietnam draft dodger Willard "Mittens" Romney Willard 'Mittens' Romney had better things to do during the Vietnam War and his Neocon chickenhawk boy wonder Paul Ryan, to conflate the attack on the consulate office in Benghazi, Libya as "what we see in front of us is the absolute unraveling of the Obama administration's foreign policy" as Ryan did yesterday, is complete and utter nonsense. The Neocon chickenhawks in the right-wing noise machine who have no military or foreign policy experience, and ...

Ok lets have a discussion. What is it that you don't like about us conservatives? Why is it bad for taxes to be low for the people? Doesn't that give us more freedom? Your side is for abortion being legal. Can't you understand why our side finds the act reprehensible? Are you not capable of that? Are we bad because we are against killing babies in the womb? Why is that bad? We think people should able to own firearms. Not because we want to commit crimes or hurt people. But because we recognize that a free people must always be on guard against tyranny. You see we love our families and we want them to succeed for generations to come. So one of the things that is important is ...
Why Tehran Wants a Neocon Post Date: 2012-10-19 14:48:56 by Brian S

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney delivered his most high-profile foreign-policy speech to date at the Virginia Military Institute last week. As expected, politicians and pundits have interpreted his remarks to fit their respective election-year narratives. For Republicans, the former Massachusetts governor articulated a vision that will reclaim the mantle of leadership and guide America into a future of reinvigorated global preeminence. For Democrats, the Republican nominee at best plagiarized President Obamas foreign-policy prerogatives and at worst reaffirmed the fears of many who equate Romney with the disastrous policies of George W. Bush. But a ...

Usually, not always, the peace party wins. Gen. Shermans burning of Atlanta and March to the Sea ensured Abraham Lincolns re-election in 1864. William McKinley, with his triumph over Spain and determination to pacify and hold the Philippines, easily held off William Jennings Bryan in 1900. Yet Woodrow Wilson won in 1916 on the slogan, He Kept Us Out of War! And Dwight Eisenhower won a landslide with his declaration about the stalemate in Harry Trumans war: I shall go to Korea. Richard Nixon pledged in 1968 that new leadership will end the war and win the peace. Vice President Hubert Humphrey, behind by double digits on Oct. 1, ...
Is Anarchism an Idea Whose Time Has Come? Post Date: 2012-10-18 12:06:37 by Brian S

It seems that everywhere, these days, people are talking about anarchism. Now Dmitry Orlov [3] joins the discussion with a 3-part series, In Praise of Anarchy. Utilizing primarily the work of the 19th century Russian anarchist, Peter Kropotkin, Orlov argues that anarchy, rather than hierarchy, is the dominant pattern in nature, that hierarchical organizations ultimately end in collapse, and that the impending collapse of the capitalist industrial system presents an opportunity for the emergence of anarchism.Orlov,(aka kollapsnik at Club Orlov [3]), is probably best-known for his book, Reinventing Collapse [4], in which he compares the collapse of ...

I dislike first ladies as a concept, I mean, not as dinner dates. I think of the first lady as an individual who happens to be married to the guy with the job, rather than as a job in its own right with a huge staff and bloated budget. But I seem to be in a minority, and most Americans appear to be comfortable with the neo-monarchical inflating of the president's wife into a full-blown Queen Consort. So, to give all those staffers the pretense of something to do, it's necessary to identify a "cause" for the first lady to "champion." The Arab Spring? Whoa, steady on. By "cause," we mean something kinda non-political, more like good works, but with ...
Behind the Benghazi Cover-up Post Date: 2012-10-17 20:29:38 by Abcdefg

On Sept. 11, scores of men with automatic weapons and RPGs launched a night assault on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and set the building ablaze. Using mortars, they launched a collateral attack on a safe house, killing two more Americans, as other U.S. agents fled to the airport. On Sept. 14, White House press secretary Jay Carney said the attack came out of a spontaneous protest caused by an anti-Muslim video on YouTube. On Sept. 16, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice told the entire nation the attack had not been premeditated or preplanned but emanated from a spontaneous protest of the nasty video. On Sept. 25, Obama at the United Nations mentioned the video ...
PRUDEN: Betrayal in Benghazi, Libya, as clear as a sore toe Post Date: 2012-10-17 20:20:37 by Abcdefg

PRUDEN: Betrayal in Benghazi, Libya, as clear as a sore toe Mitt Romney should think of the betrayal in Benghazi as gout in Barack Obamas left big toe, and step on it hard at every opportunity. The president will feel it, and the memory of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens deserves no less. Making foreign policy an issue is usually hard to do, since most voters think a foreign affair is a naughty weekend in Paris. But this foreign affair is different. The betrayal in Benghazi and that is exactly what it was was tragic for Mr. Stevens and his family, and it went beyond tragedy for the rest of us. The ambassador, watching the security arrangements dissolving over a ...
The Republican Holy Trinity: Racists, Misogynists, and Liars Post Date: 2012-10-17 18:01:47 by Brian S

Despite having strayed from my area of expertise over the past few weeks, (economics-and the damage the Republicans brand of economics has done and the pain it would continue to inflict on Americans) I have to address one more theme: the obvious notion that all Republicans deny, but few Republicans and no Democrats doubt: Republicans are a party primarily made up of racists, misogynists, and liarsand how the so-called television news media has become complicit. Mitt Romney claims, as the centerpiece of his most recent efforts to make inroads in the all-important swing states, a clear and unequivocal lie and Romney knows it: On July 12th, President ...

While our friends on the left celebrate the fact that their president showed more life than the dead parrot in the Monty Python sketch, and convince themselves they won, someone needs to tell them any time any time they let Obama talk in public without a teleprompter, he lets ideology leak out. And that their ideology is scary to those of us in the real world. This is much worse, of course, when the press cooperate to enable him. I wonder when they will realize this is counterproductive. Martha Raddatz would have done the vice president a much greater service if, instead of covering for him, preventing Ryan from finishing his answers, and generally acting like his paid media ...
Billionaire Peterffy Warns of Slide Into Socialism Post Date: 2012-10-16 18:18:55 by A K A Stone

A billionaire Hungarian immigrant plans to spend millions to reverse what he says is Americas slide toward socialism. Thomas Peterffy launched a self-financed political ad last week that raises alarm bells over what he sees as the poisonous consequences of wealth redistribution and urges viewers to vote Republican. I grew up in a socialist country, and I have seen what that does to people. There is no hope, no freedom, no pride in achievement, Mr. Peterffy intones in his video. The nation became poorer and poorer. And thats what I see happening here. Mr. Peterffy, who pioneered electronic trading practices in U.S. markets and now leads ...
Paul Ryan: Dick Cheney With a Smile Post Date: 2012-10-16 16:07:35 by Brian S

Never afraid to go against the crowd, or the facts, Dick Cheney found Paul Ryans performance in Thursday nights vice presidential debate dazzling. Following the debate, Cheney declared that there is no question in my mind when I look at Joe Biden and Paul Ryan on the stage there last night, I think Paul Ryans got what it takes to take over as president. I dont think Joe Biden does. How did George W. Bushs number-two see what so many mere mortals missed? Cheney pays serious attention to Ryan. Indeed, he says: I worship the ground that Paul Ryan walks on. And no one should doubt Cheneys sincerity. The former Republican vice ...

Airing at 9 p.m. EST, tonights Presidential Debate will be follow a Town Hall format with moderator Candy Crowley of CNN choosing 12 questions from members of the audience. The 80-member audience will be split down the middle, 50 percent Dipsh*ts and 50 percent knuckleheads. While Democrats are hoping Obama cares enough to bring it tonight, instead of just phoning it in, and GOP die-hards are geared up for another Biden TKO, this time around the questions will be coming from the audience, a group of 80 undecided voters, people Michelle Obama likes to refer to as knuckleheads. Talk to everyone you know your friends, your neighbors, that cousin you havent ...
The Wizard of Obama The president didn't just lose a debate. He lost an entire image of genius and control. Post Date: 2012-10-15 23:42:00 by A K A Stone

After President Reagan's listless performance in the first presidential debate of 1984 raised speculation that he was too old for the job, the Gipper took command in the second debate. Of his opponent Walter Mondale, Reagan famously said that he wouldn't try to score political points by exploiting his opponent's youth and inexperience. Perhaps Barack Obama can likewise reassert himself in Tuesday evening's town hall in Long Island. But his problem is this: In Denver he didn't just lose a debatehe lost the carefully cultivated illusion of a larger-than-life figure who was Lincoln and FDR and Moses all wrapped in one. Mostly this image was the making of his own ...

As I noted in the introduction to my book, The Obama Timeline, a jury at a murder trial will often find the accumulated circumstantial evidence so overwhelming that a guilty verdict is obviouseven though there may be no witness to the crime. The jurors in the Scott Peterson trial believed the collection of evidence more than they believed Scott Peterson. Among other things, the jury thought that being arrested with $15,000 in cash, recently-dyed hair, a newly-grown goatee, four cell phones, camping equipment, a map to a new girlfriends house, a gun, and his brothers drivers license certainly did not paint a picture of a grieving husband who had nothing to do ...
Ryan: A Weak, Minor League Teacup Post Date: 2012-10-12 13:06:28 by Brian S

Paul Ryan accused the Democrats of making the US appear weak. But his performance in the face of a tough talking, aggressive grownup was weak, passive, minor league, a frail teacup totally outmanned by a grizzled battle cruiser. Biden laughed and grinned and smiled a lot-- a real lot. There's no doubt in my mind that this was part of his plan to marginalize Ryan, to show without making angry faces, complete contempt for Ryan and his words. Ryan tried it at times too, but Biden backed up his smiling contempt with strong words. Ryan's smiles were empty or backed with wonkery, at best. The right wing punditocracy predictably accused Biden of being rude, inappropriate, ...
The Right To Choose... Rape? Post Date: 2012-10-12 07:16:28 by A K A Stone

know it sounds outrageous, but the arguments my liberal readers make for abortion have convinced me that they are trying to legalize rape. Aside from the obvious fact that rape is a moral issue (and one cant legislate morality), pro-abortion reasoning provides 10 additional reasons for making rape legal. I have enumerated all of them below. I have even taken the time to expand on some of the more disturbing arguments: 1. It is uncertain where consent ends and force begins. Because that is largely a religious question that cannot be determined by science, it has no place in our criminal statutes. Such determinations are also influenced by culture and no one culture is superior to ...
Buchanan: Is a Nuclear Deal With Iran Possible? Post Date: 2012-10-09 12:19:49 by Brian S

In diplomacy, always leave your adversary an honorable avenue of retreat. Fifty years ago this October, to resolve a Cuban missile crisis that had brought us to the brink of nuclear war, JFK did that. He conveyed to Nikita Khrushchev, secretly, that if the Soviet Union pulled its nuclear missiles out of Cuba, the United States would soon after pull its Jupiter missiles out of Italy and Turkey. Is the United States willing to allow Iran an honorable avenue of retreat, if it halts enrichment of uranium to 20% and permits intrusive inspections of all its nuclear facilities? Or are U.S. sanctions designed to bring about not a negotiated settlement of the nuclear issue, but regime change, the ...
